This was my first visit to a Visionworks location. The staff were friendly and personable. They helped me figure out an issue with my insurance to be sure that I got the appropriate coverage. The doctor was patient as we waited to figure it out and address all the questions I had about my eyes. Ayo helped me pick out two frames that fit my face really well. She was even willing to search the inventory so that I could see a frame in a different color. They had a BOGO promotion going on, and one pair was ready the same day. read more

Worst place to get contacts from they always give me contacts that hurts my eyes and take so long to give me a replacement. Worst customer service they don't answer the phone and when they do they put you on hold and hung up and the people there are very disrespectful and unprofessional. I have been wearing contacts since I was 13 and I am now 25. Dr. Daniel Speer is the worst eye doctor I have ever had. The left lenses for my exam was foggy and I told him multiple times it was making it more difficult to see. He proceeded to do the exam as normal disregarding my concerns multiple times stating he did not have anything to clean it. This felt like a complete waste of time and money as I have no confidence in the accuracy of my prescription. read more

I took my mother here for her yearly eye test. Dr. Spears was her optometrist. I couldn't write a decent review about him. He was unprofessional and disrespectful. He was angry and irritated with my mother when she couldn't see well despite the prescriptions he prescribed. Not only was that ineffective, but my mother's inability to communicate in English infuriated him. If you don't speak English fluently or don't want an impatient doctor, don't come here. Do not waste your time or money here. They gave me the wrong contact prescription and never did an exam with contacts in. I explained my issue to them in store and was told I would need to pay $120 for another exam even though the first one was not properly performed. My initial exam was less than a year ago so my insurance won't cover another exam right now. I've been wearing contacts and glasses for over 20 years and have never had such a bad experience. I am only giving 2 stars because the eye doctor was FANTASTIC. He was probably the best eye dr I have even been to. However, I was not told that they got their lab taken away, until after I finished paying for my 2 pairs of glasses. After I questioned why I wasn't told that in the beginning, I was told "Oh, don't worry, it will only be 2 or 3 days max. I had a lady get bifocals that were here in 2 days, so your glasses will only take a day or two." Here we are a week later, no glasses. I called to ask them this morning and once the lady realized I had been told something else, she didn't want to hear anything else I had to say. She just kept talking over me. So, since I was unable to say it on the phone I figured I would let everyone know here. It is best practice to let people know that you do not have your lab anymore. Please do not try to hide this until after you have made a sale in order to reach your goal. You will lose more customers this way. Especially since they are able to drive 15 mins down the street and get them from the same company in an hour. Really disappointing. read more

Had 11:30 a.m. appointment arrived about 10 minutes early was greeted at the door and asked if I had mask and gloves I had a mask they provided a fresh pair of gloves they also had sanitizer available. Had my paperwork completed they reviewed it took my temperature I came inside. Dr. Howard was awesome she was very patient with my questions. Showed me what was going on with my eyes and health. Tyler was incredible in assisting especially when helping with my insurance. I highly recommend that particular location I have been going to them for several years in the last few years has been extremely Pleasant whenever I go there everyone is always professional very clean and organized. Do not go here. I called and made appointments for my husband, myself, and our son. I made my husband's for a Thursday afternoon since that worked for his schedule, and I made our son's and mine for the next afternoon since that worked best for us. My husband went to his appointment, it was fine. Then when our son and I went the scheduler apparently had not input the appointments correctly. Okay, well I probably would have just rescheduled except the front desk staff were just rude. Assuming it was my error, which I know it was not since I very specifically made them for the times I did. One rolled her eyes and then rudely said, " we can try to fit you in, but we already have four". I said no thanks, and left. I have good eye insurance and would have purchased at least 3 pair of glasses. I will take my business to a more professional establishment. Note I have been here in previous years and it was okay. But, today was so rude that we will not return again. read more

I should have know when I called and hot just a "hello" that this was not a place of professionalism. I overlooked it as I was asking about price for contacts. When I actually arrived, the staff was as warm as the north pole. The older lady who checked me in sounded as if she wanted to go home already. It was 11 in the morning. When I was escorted back into a room, they had some pink tape on the floor and the optometrist was asking me questions in a very condescending manor. I should note that I had dressed poorly when going in. I was wearing jeans, a tshirt, and a zip up aeropostal hoodie. I looked a mess. The optometrist clearly had judged that I wasn't up to standard for her practice. She was definitely the rudest professional I have ever encountered. It was odd she was judging me so harshly, because this value vision operation in antioch was not what I would call upscale. it was barebones. They had tape on the ground where I was supposed to stand. All the equipment looked cheap. She rudely asked me if I had the money for such the service. I had had enough, I told her no. I did have enough, but I certainly wasn't giving it to this shotty operation. As I turned to leave, I apologized for wasting the optometrist time. I extended my hand for a friendly handshake. The optometrist stared at me as if I was just released from the loony bin. She really was extremely rude. Anyway, I had my appointment at Optique on West End today. It was the exact opposite of everything I've said here. It was beautiful on the inside, the customer service was amazing, and it was even cheaper than the price this optometrist told me.
