He is wonderful to his patients, don't get me wrong. But if you wouldn't give your money to a doctor who constantly belittles his employees (not in a constructive criticism way, in a "you're a f***ing tranwreck" kind of way. Those were some of his exact words to me in my last days working there) then I wouldn't give your money to this one. The amount of times my coworkers and I have been reduced to blubbering, teary-eyed messes over his constant trash talk, and his manipulative way of pitting us against each other, is uncalled for. Working as a tech, I frequently had the misfortune of listening to him vent about how "dumb" his receptionist was, when in fact, according to my own observation, she was one of the more intelligent people who worked there. Anyway, I digress. Furthermore, he somehow had us all so deep under his spell that when I asked my coworkers if working anywhere else would be better, they all unanimously agreed that working for ANY doctor is like that. Now that I'm working at a different office in a different city altogether, the difference is truly night and day. I have NEVER been treated as poorly by any employer as I have by Dr. Noel, let alone cursed at, screamed at, used as a target for projectile eye-drop bottles, et cetera. With all of that being said, this is a review from a scorned ex-employee, so take it with a grain of salt. If the way someone treats their employees isn't a concern to you, that's great. But all of my words are truthful.

I had the numbers on the card available, but instead of working the issue and contacting my insurance - she submitted under a random electronic drop down for a different type of Metlife insurance and I was later contacted via text with a message stating Spectrum Vision needed additional insurance information. I called the Spectrum Vision office and was given voicemail. On the voicemail - I left my insurance numbers and the phone number for Metlife. A phone number the office workers could have used to call Metlife and verify this office was covered (as it is listed in the online provider directory). Instead of doing her job, she cancelled my appointment when I was unable to pickup the phone Wednesday. I was working constantly and unable to pick up the phone - so she should have done her job instead of cancelling my appointment. Is it that hard to call a phone number for an insurance provider? I have been going to Dr. Steritz for a few years and appreciate his knowledge for my eye care. He is thorough and explains the results making it easy to understand. I keep coming back as I trust my care to Dr. Steritz and since I have been wearing glasses for years I like the fact Eye Trends is not a Franchise or Chain Eyecare facility. His vision was very important as he was deaf. Without his glasses, he was blind, too. He was lost without them. They took his glasses, put new frames on them and tried their best to fit them as they were before. I was told if they didn't fit then bring them back and they would try again. They were ready in a few days and looked better than before and they fit him first try. I appreciate their help. There was a lot of difficulties with my dad's situation and they made it one less problem and one less stressful situation. This place is great and very understanding. Thank you.

The office manager told me that my only option to be seen was a package for $2000 that included services I do not need and lenses I already own. I asked if there was a separate package for transfer of care, she said that the doctor "might" call me back or she would ask and call me herself. As expected, I didn't hear from the doctor. Instead, the manager called me back and repeated that my options were to pay for the full package including a $500 scheduling deposit, or $600 to schedule an evaluation with no lenses included (which would be significantly more for less services and hardware). No matter how good the doctor may be, the approach to selling no matter the patients needs is clearly a scam.
