I thought I had a good experience. The doctor was very friendly and thorough during my exam. Explained cost efficiency of contacts to progressive computer eyeglasses.
Turns out that when the doctor wrote out my prescription, she made a mistake. I only noticed it when I went to fill out my reimbursement claim form for my vision insurance. When I tried to get the office to correct it, I got the runaround.
The clerk told me that I was given the "choice" of single vision glasses. NO! I was told I WOULD GET two different prescriptions one for a single vision pair AND one for a progressive pair for when I'm at work.
I was told the RX was "ambiguous" to Lenscrafters next door and that is why they filled BOTH as progressive pairs (how could this be when all the clerk at Lenscrafters and I kept discussing was my SINGLE VISION PAIR). I was told they could go next door and tell Lenscrafters that I WANTED a single vision pair. How is being told you will get a single vision pair prescribed to you and seeing it circled on the RX WANTING a single vision pair of glasses? I was initially told they could write me a new RX or they could fax me one. Why, so I could fix this?
Moral of the story...make sure that you have everything correctly marked before you leave this place or it will be "ambiguous" to Lenscrafters next door.... read more
