I have spent a hefty amount on office visits, contact fittings, 2 rounds of eye dilations and the lens and frame. It's been a non-stop process for about a month now. I went in on Thursday for an eye dilation to help my eyes "adjust to the prescription" and I have worn either the glasses or contacts religiously. I am still not adjusting. I am not driving since I don't feel comfortable. I just called and they can't see me until the 22nd (dr is going on vacation) and said they will check but I might have to pay another visit fee. Is this all normal or do they just suck? The contacts are a little better distance wise but it just doesn't feel "clear". Vision is worse than before and my bank account is down $700.

Dr. Patel conducted full vision tests, reviewed my exams and asked what I was looking for from my glasses (seeing far/close, my line of work, hobbies that might require vision needs, etc.). During my frames and lense selection, Kendall was excellent. She had me select frames that I liked, then offered similar looking alternatives that actually ended up being the frames I selected. She then went thru the lenses options and offered input to ensure I was making the best decisions for my needs. I can't thank her enough! Overall, this is exactly how the process should work. My appointment took less than an hour, I was involved in the feedback and selection process from start to finish, and the staff were both friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

Afterward, Shaye in the frame department was incredibly helpful. I had selected 5 or 6 frames on the MyEyeDr website beforehand. Shaye tracked them down, checked their availability, and looked up the exact pricing for each one. This was by far my best visit, and I credit the MyEyeDr website for enabling me to do a little prep work myslef. Shopping for glasses is usually my least favorite chore, Shaye, along with some casual conversation made the entire process easy and pleasant. I have been seeing Dr Nimeh for years for my binocular vision dysfunction that was diagnosed as a…read morechild. My daughter (6) was having trouble reading the board at school even while wearing her glasses so I decided to bring her here despite two other optometrists insisting that she didn't inherit the BVD. Dr Conte was able to diagnose her with BVD and write her a prescription to help, with the possibility of vision therapy in the future. She has ADHD that we are struggling to treat and she was very hyperactive in his office. Not only was he calm and patient with her but he told us that there's a link between BVD and ADHD and gave us a copy of a book that he wrote about it. So far it is a good read, and it's short and easily understood. Both Doctors are great and we've had good experiences with the rest of the staff as well. They do thorough testing for me for other specialists I see that need to know how my retinas and optic nerves are looking to know the progression of other chronic disorders. Very knowledgeable and very helpful people.

I had no idea this kind of eye care even existed previously. I had so many issues with my eyes in battling life long Lyme disease and I was very worried I would lose my eye sight.
