Said it needed an sd card to update and they'd mail, never recieved. Would call, they'd "send" for 3 months i finally emailed, then they said schedule a tech. Well it takes 1-2 months to schedule. I always asked can we not be charged until it works? But would get the tech will come when it works we will credit you for months it hasn't worked. The past two tech visits (one was today). The tech did not show during the 4 hour window I took off work to be here. They don't call either. I called at this point $500 in, 9 months later, please just cancel our service and refund me the charges for the past 8 months of service I've paid for but never received or I will go forward with disputing and writing g reviews because I've been patient and given so much time. They read the exact verbiage they tell me every-time. So here we are be warned, not a good company, they do not really care, they will keep charging you, they do not have techs that show up. They make false promises and are obviously not interested in having happy customers

I have Vivint on both of our homes. I'm going to share my honest experience with their services…read moreand the value it has provided for me and my family so far. Note also - that Vivint is a premium home security. I've had Vivint service now for about 5 years. I pay about $40 for the monthly service and about $55 with our second home (service and financed device together) that is all inclusive of their 24/7 monitoring and free customer support including tech. This does not however, include their devices. That is separate. You can either buy them out right, or Vivint will finance for you at zero interest with qualifying credit. Their devices are not cheap and as I noted they are a premium home security, but they are reliable. I love their smart hub. It's easy to operate, fully touch screen and very little learning curve. Even my Mom and Dad had no issues using it including their smart app on their phone and tablet. Just a heads up, Vivint does require a minimum of 5 year contract. After that, you will be on a month-to-month. For some, this might be a deal breaker. However, if there's one thing I can honestly say about Vivint, they really do have excellent customer service support. It's like having a white glove service. Whenever I have a problem, I just call their customer service or tech support, and I get someone right away with very little wait. They are very responsive. Just this week, I had a tech come out and serviced my outdoor camera. There's one downside, they recently changed (as of April 2023) their home tech visit policy which used to be complimentary as long as it is Vivint owned devices. Now it's either pay a $99 per visit, or pay an extra $10 a month insurance fee which will include free, unlimited tech visits. So now you're going to pay somewhere around $50 a month or more or about $600+ a year. That comes out to about $1.65 a day or less than a cup of small coffee at Starbucks. I understand with so many options of DIY and lower monthly monitoring fees and some comes free, why did I go with Vivint? It's hard to put a price on peace of mind, but for me and my family, I chose Vivint for the hassle free knowing they have our backs 24/7. I also didn't want to deal with having to install devices on my own and prefer the knowledge of their expert technicians. At the end of the day, Vivint is not perfect but they do come close to it from my years of service with them. Best of all, I get a discount from my homeowner insurance by having their service. I hope this helps you. Cheers!

*Unreasonable Difficulty Canceling Vivint Service* I am…read morewriting to express my frustration with Vivint's cancellation process. Until now, we have had no issues with Vivint's service. That changed when we tried to cancel. On my first call, I spent about 40 minutes clearly asking to cancel. Instead of processing the request, I was transferred between 4 representatives, each of whom pushed an "advanced loyalty program" rather than honoring my request. The call was then disconnected. I spoke with a guy named Jimmy (#9154484) and multiple other people on 9/17/2027 and they would not cancel the service we've had since 2018. When I called back, I spoke with 2 more representatives before my request was finally addressed by a guy named Alby. In total, I spent roughly 1.5 hours and spoke with 6 people just to cancel a service. We were not under contract and had no outstanding equipment balance, so there was no reason for this delay. We had never had any issue with them until this day. Not to mention they have a 30 day window so when you do cancel, you owe another bill anyway. A customer who clearly states they want to cancel should be able to do so promptly, without repeated transfers and retention pitches. This experience has left a negative impression of a company we were otherwise satisfied with. I ask that Vivint review its cancellation practices and provide written confirmation that our account has been fully closed and that no further charges will be made.

NorthStar installed the following equipment in my house: 2 Yale smart locks, garage door opener,…read morewindow sensors, door sensors, glass break sensor, and control pad. What I like: - NorthStar customer service seems competent and helpful. My salesman/point of contact is responsive and helps me configure the smart devices. - The smart locks and garage door opener are convenient. - All devices can be controlled from a single app, very convenient. - The devices operate on both wifi and 'cellular data' such that they will continue to work if your home's wifi does down. What I dislike: - The price for on going service is too expensive. The contracts are quite long, mine is 42 months. There is a $1 surcharge to charge the monthly service to a credit card. - The glass break detector triggered when I was fanning open a garbage bag, the police sent me a bill for a false alarm. I was not happy about that. Things to Note: - I have not had a security incident in the 2 months of having the system so I cannot confirm or deny the usefulness of the security monitoring system. Conclusion: - It is impossible to deny the convenience of the smart home devices. But in my opinion, it is not worth the expensive monthly service bill.

If I could give this company a NEGATIVE ten, I would. They have automatically renewed out contract…read moreTwice because I forgot that I had to give written notice sixty days before expiration. This is plain extortion. They do not send reminders, they do not give you a chance to cancel they only say, "It's in the contract that you signed. Do you want me to send you a copy?" We are living on social security only and I have recently had to go back to work at age 73, but none of this mattered to them. So now I have to pay this bill for another 18 months. It's over $1200.00. Hate is an ugly word, but I certainly hate the ethics that they lack as a company. Do not do business with these frauds.

QUICK & AMAZING SERVICE…read more First of all....Christian was so quick to answer my inquiry when I needed this service the most! We moved into a new house and noticed how high the area of the tv needed to be. For 3 weeks we had our tv on the ground and tried to mount the tv ourselves with no luck. At this point I needed help asap because making sure that my 2 babies weren't going to crack our tv was difficult. Christian was able to put the mount up quickly and efficiently and he made sure it was the way we wanted it set up since it was pretty high plus we wanted to have enough room for our sound system which he set up PERFECTLY! 100% recommend him for your services and will be using his service again!

We couldn't be happier with the work Christian from Pro Level did for us. Absolute pro from start…read moreto finish. We were installing a MantelMount MM700 along with the RB100 recessed box above our fireplace, which is completely tiled. We originally thought about doing it ourselves, but once we got into it, we quickly realized tile made the project a lot more complicated than we were comfortable with. Looking back, I really wish I would have just let a pro handle it from the beginning before we started drilling holes into the tile, especially since we later found out those holes didn't even need to be drilled. We actually had a handyman at the house giving us an estimate for installing an EV charger in the garage, and he agreed to take on the TV mount as well. Once he got started, though, he told me he wasn't comfortable continuing because he was having trouble locating the studs through the tile. MantelMount recommends OnTech for installation, so I tried going that route next. They ended up canceling the appointment because they don't install through tile. At that point I started shopping around pretty heavily. I probably spoke with around 10 different companies or installers. Some wouldn't take the job at all, and others made working with tile sound like it turned this into an insanely complicated project. The prices reflected that too. Some of the upcharges I was quoted just because of the tile were pretty crazy. Then I spoke with Christian. From the first conversation, he was professional, knowledgeable, and confident without trying to oversell anything. He has over 12 years of experience, and after talking through the project with him, you could tell that experience was legitimate. He understood the MantelMount, the tile, the recessed box, and what would be involved in getting everything installed correctly. His pricing was also completely fair. The price changed a little once I explained that I also wanted the RB100 recessed box installed, which was completely understandable considering the additional work involved. Even then, his price was very reasonable compared with some of the other quotes I received. What really sealed it for me was looking through the work he had posted on Yelp and talking with him about exactly how he planned to approach the installation. Out of roughly 10 people I spoke with, Pro Level was the company I felt most comfortable hiring. Christian showed up on time and was professional from the moment he walked in. He came prepared with high end Milwaukee tools and treated our house like it was his own. Before cutting or drilling anything, he taped everything off, covered the furniture, and covered the fireplace and surrounding area so tile dust wouldn't spread throughout the room. Those little details tell you a lot about the person you hired. The finished installation came out exactly how we wanted it. Everything was clean, precise, and professionally done. You can immediately tell Christian takes pride in his work. I'm extremely picky about who I hire to work on projects around my house, especially when someone is drilling into tile and mounting an expensive TV over a fireplace. After seeing Christian's work firsthand, I will absolutely be bringing him back when we install TVs in our loft and basement. Also, don't let the number of Yelp reviews fool you. Yelp doesn't seem to be nearly as big here in Utah as it is in some other places. Christian is a gem and an absolute pro. If you're looking for someone to mount a TV, especially if you have a more complicated installation involving tile, a fireplace, a MantelMount, or recessed components, do not hesitate to hire Christian at Pro Level. We couldn't have been happier. Don't look any further.

Hi Britton, Thank…read moreyou for replying to my review. I wouldn't wish my experience on anyone. There are a few discrepancies in your response for some of the appointment dates that I'd like to address. Regarding the amount of times you called and left me messages beginning on 3/2/15 and ending on 3/26/15 when I called you back, my alarm company said they were playing phone tag with you which is why it took over a month to get my first installation scheduled. Unless my voicemail system for my mobile phone was on the fritz for over a month, I don't recall missing seven messages from you. Perhaps you were calling my alarm company and not me? For the first appointment scheduled on 4/8/15, you stated the technician missed the 2:30-4:30 pm window and arrived at my house at 6:10 pm and left at 6:35 pm because I wasn't home. This is not true. I was home when he arrived. Because he was so late, the only thing he could do was test the existing door and window sensors. For the appointment that occurred on 4/16/15, the technician arrived about an hour after the 1:30-3:30 pm window. He wasn't on time. As a result, he could only install the new control panel and keypad. The cameras were put on hold. This appointment caused a residual problem because when I left for vacation the next day, the alarm would trigger when I walked by the motion sensor. My alarm company had to manually override it because I was headed to the airport and couldn't wait for someone to come to my home. It turns out the technician programmed the motion sensor incorrectly. For the appointment on 4/25/15, this was a Saturday. My alarm company made a notation on my account that the wireless cameras were Honeywell, but your company already knew this since the technician from the last appointment stated he's dealt with Honeywell in the past. What's upsetting about this appointment is that Honeywell doesn't provide any weekend hardware/software support. That is not the fault of my alarm company and them being closed for service on the weekend had no bearing on a disappointing Saturday. I would think this is something your company would have been aware of before scheduling an appointment on a Saturday. For the appointment on 5/12/15, the technician was able to get the final camera working. The problem is that it took over 12 hours. The technician arrived at 10:30 am and left after 10 pm. Please reread my comments for the 5/12 appointment. He left at 3:30 pm for lunch and to pickup a network cable and didn't return to my house until 7:20 pm. Can you please explain why it took nearly 4 hours for lunch and a network cable. Lastly, I assume your technicians are trained before being put out into the field. Can you please explain why I had to provide the troubleshooting ideas and the resolution to use a network cable to connect the camera directly to the router. If I had not done so, I would've been waiting for another camera and wireless range extender which would have resulted in another appointment. It's not good when a customer provides the troubleshooting ideas and resolution to a problem the technician should have known about.

After…read morethat time has elapsed, I called to see what was going on just to find out that my order was there but wasn't actually scheduled. After that was taken care of I finally received a date, the technician came out and couldn't get the thermostat connected to the WiFi. He said that it was the "internet password" even though other devices inside of the store, laptops, and customers cell phones had no problem connecting with the same exact password. I had called to request another technician at another date and they asked to speak to the one present. He had the audacity to say that I needed to call the internet provider to see if my password was correct after all the devices were being connected, even his cell phone was connected with the same exact password. He disconnected the thermostats and said that he had to come back out and that the center was going to talk to technical support and give me a call in 30 minutes. After about 45 minutes passed, I called back and was told that they had no intention of sending him or anyone else back out because since the technical didn't know how to connect the devices I'm considered ineligible. So since they were part of the package, I'm looking into another provider.
