I have been with Dr. Lewallen for years now and thanks to her my Glaucoma has been under control and my eye health is very good. She is kind and understanding. She has called me at home when needed to reassure me or to discuss new medications. I always recommend her to my friends and will stay with her as my primary eye doctor. She is the best!!! read more

The Optometrist Yatskevich was very helpful. But the positive experience with Vision Quest ends there. The staff can be unreasonable. Their charge for contact lenses was double what I would have paid if I ordered online. They only gave my prescription (it was suppose to be given after service was paid for---whether the patient asks for it or not!) only after I requested for it...and after the fact that I bought my lenses from them. Then, they denied verification for my prescription just because I opted to buy cheaper contact lenses online. What a rip-off! Lesson learned...always ASK AND REQUEST a copy of your prescription cause YOU PAID FOR IT. And never ever buy your lenses form Vision Quest...buy online...the quality is exactly the same and definitely less costly! I will never return to that establishment and will tell all my friends plus relatives never to go to that eye center. RIPOFF! Now, I was able to buy MORE contact lenses online and I am glad that I can choose to wear it as often or less than a month plus it's at my disposal, not theirs. read more

I recently visited Vision Quest for my eye exam with Dr. Yatskevitch. I was greeted at the front desk right away and used the up-to-date iPad check in technology. I was then taken back right away by Danielle who took all of my information and did 2 tests before I saw the doctor. I had numerous concerns and Danielle listened and documented everything and she did not rush me. I feel she was very thorough and caring. Once again I had the Optomap eye machine used on me, and the pressure machine used too, I am glad they have good technology at Vision Quest. Dr. Yatskevitch came in (I did not wait long-not even 5 minutes, probably less) and he used the eye lense machine on me to test my vision. He also addressed all of my concerns, and again I must say I had more than a few. He is very thorough and very professional. At check out, I was given a copy of my current prescription (without asking for it) which was nice, the receptionist was polite and my check out process was quick and painless. I feel fortunate to have them taking care of my vision health. I look forward to returning in the future . read more

Dr. Lewallen is very rude and talks down to her patients. I have been wearing glasses over 30 years and I have never had an eye doctor talk to me the way she talked down to me. I would NOT recommend her and would find another eye care center to take care of your needs. read more

I've been going to Vision Quest for over 7 years and they have always had great bedside mannors to my children. We came from another eye care center that didn't have it. Be patient they book up quickly I believe it's because they are good at what the do. Government workers beware if you have blue vision they don't take it. Unlike the previous reviewer, my experience with Vision Quest has been nothing but positive. Everyone I have come in contact with there has been diligent, courteous, professional and competent. Dr. Gross is the only doctor I have dealt with, but he is a real person, speaks to the level his patient can understand--not over the patient's head or in any way patronizing. He is busy but thorough, and pleasant. Although I wore contacts for 40 years (acquired elsewhere over the years), I have not had contact lens experience with this establishment so I cannot comment. However, in attempting to get the right glasses prescription after eye surgery, the progressive lenses I tried out first did not work out for me, and Vision Quest replaced them for a different prescription Free of Charge, which I thought was very generous. I have, and will continue to recommend them to friends and acquaintances. I have learned over the years that it is incumbent upon the patient to speak up for what he/she wants and needs. It is also incumbent upon the physician and staff to volunteer basic information, and to listen. So far, this establishment gets high marks from me in this regard. read more

Dr. Lewallen was great. Discussed the changes to my vision and gave options for types of contacts. I've seen other reviews that mentions problems getting prescriptions. That is not typically the case. I have requested and received prescriptions multiple times without any problem from any of the staff. I have been with this practice (with multiple doctor changes) for 40 years and have always been very pleased with the service. Have also seen Dr. Gross multiple times and was always impressed with his expertise and helpfulness. read more

Dr. Y is helpful. My son's vision actually improved after he got the glasses. But that's about it. The receptionist was not very friendly. I asked her why the copay was $20 this time but last time I paid only $10. She stared at me and simply increased her voice - ma'am, I said you owe $20 copay, alright? - I heard you the first time, lady! And, they don't give you your prescription. I am very happy with the care and attention I receive at Vision Quest Eye Care Center. I am promptly taken at my appointment time and sufficient time is spent on any questions or concern I have. I moved an hour away almost 10 years ago and could use an eye care center around the corner from my home but I still go to Vision Quest for my exams - they are that good!! read more

I find this eye doctor wonderful. Although I have found all of them to be polite and helpful during my exam, I prefer Dr. Haranin because I have been seeing her for many years. The rest of the staff has always been accommodating when I needed to switch my appointment and very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this eye care center to anyone and everyone. My wife and I have been patients of Vision Quest/Dr. Phillip Gross almost since the practice opened. They are accessible, friendly, and absolutely up-to-date in diagnostic and treatment options. Dr. Gross talks to his patients like intelligent adults. We have never had a problem with the office staff, either scheduling appointments, making payments, whatever. We do buy our glasses there because they are contracted with my vision plan, and their service is excellent--from dropping in for a fitting problem to ordering replacements for broken frames or lenses. And if you ever have an emergency...you know they will return your call and find a way to see you. Plus, I don't recall EVER sitting in their waiting room beyond my appointment time. You sure can't say that about many medical practices! read more
