Went in for a 2nd opinion on an eye issue I was having and, not only was she thorough and insiteful, but, additional tests were done. She walked me through the entire process and, by the end, I felt confident with my diagnosis. I'm so glad I went in for that 2nd opinion. I plan on following up in two weeks. I have had nothing but problems since I brought myself and my son here for an exam. I understood that they were just opening their doors when we went- so I was patient. I felt like I was overcharged initially because having dual insurance, $150 copay is unreal. Furthermore, I called to get a copy of the receipt and was given the run around. Now when I call to get a copy of our prescriptions, they don't have access to our records because the office was closed due to flooding. Although I understand the severity of Harvey's damage, I have a bitter taste bc I feel as though the staff and business as a whole has been unprofessional. Now I will be paying out of pocket for another exam in an attempt to get contacts and glasses. read more

If i Could give this place zero stars I would. I came in for an exam for my daughter. We did the exam and they insisted that they dilate her eyes so they Could correctly get her perscription. I didnt want to do it, we've had issues of her seeing blurry for HOURS after but she said it was necessary .( After she said that the prescription was the same.. So she didn't need to dilate to begin with ) I asked if it was covered through our insurance and she said no, but like i said she insisted. Long story short, we went out of exam room to pick out frames. They already had picked out a few on the table. ( I assumed since they had all our insurance info/ verified and checked how much they would cover for frames/ lenses etc) that they would leave out those options that our insurance covered. Well that's not what happened at all. They pulled a bunch of hip, cute glasses that of course my 7 yr old wanted to choose from... Then he explained that my insurance only covers 69$ for frames and the ones we wanted were $199 and I'd have to pay the difference.. Then they said my insurance didnt cover polycorbonate lenses, which after verifying with my insurance they do! On top of everything they said there was no dollar amount limitation as long as They were in approved with my insurance! So who knows where he came up with the $69 dollar limit!! Smh Totally a rip off , lying, skeeming place of business. I seriously knew something wasnt right when they said I would have to pay $170 out of pocket! I have never haven to pay that much!! I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone. They act nice and professional, and i think its only 1 doctor there, so she is obviously training her employees to get everyone to pay as much out of pocket as possible and lie to customers. You better believe we got our PRESCRIPTION AND WALKED RIGHT OUT. called walmart and they're going to get us our glasses .. No out of pocket fees. read more

The doctor has no idea what she is doing. She just starts guessing as to what contacts and prescription will work. She then comes up with silly excuses as to why certain contacts aren't fitting well. You do not see halos because your eyes are tired. Didn't happen before and I'm sure it won't just start happening. read more

I took my son here to get glasses. We already had a script. I chose them to shop local and support the Bridgeland businesses. I printed out a picture of the frames with model number. I'm not sure who the person is roaming around the shop. The optician was fabulous. Checking out was great. However, the person kept trying to get my son to accept the pair of brown frames they had in stock. We came there to order the gray frames. I kept checking with them to see if the glasses were in. It took almost 3 weeks. We went to pick them up and the optician, again, was fabulous. We enjoyed working with her. When we got home I noticed they had given us the brown frame and just stuck blue rubber tips on the ear pieces. (We ordered gray frame with blue). I don't know if this was done by the office manager (the one initially trying o convince my son to take that frame). Glasses were $750 retail. When I contacted them to order the correct frame, I received a hasty reply indicating this would be the "one and final time" to replace the glasses. I responded, no need to remake the glasses, just order the correct frame and switch out the lenses. It's been another 3 weeks and no reply. If I could give them a 0 I would. Terrible service by the manager: support staff is wonderful. read more

I had the worst experience with this optometrist. This Doctor lacks compassion and is money hungry. I had to pay for my glasses in full in advance which is fine. I paid my $500 in full. They never call you to let you know the status of your order. I had to call them in order to know that my glasses had arrived and would be ready the next day. The next day I called again to make sure when my glasses would be ready. I called at 10am and they told me it would be ready after 12:00pm so i arrived close to closing time and once i got there they told me their lens machine had broken and it would not be ready. I explained to them that I am flying out this sunday for school and I would not return until April. They told me they would mail it to me. However, I do not want to pay 500 for a product that wasnt completed as promised in the first place. In fact, they never even called me to let me know something went wrong and that my order would not be ready as planned. So the male employee that helped me was professional and compassionate, but out comes their so called manager Dr. Kelly Mai, who says to me if i want to cancel they would have to charge me a $20 cancellation fee. No apologies for the incovenience, did not look at me straight in the eye, she just wanted my money... seriously? I explained that it is not fair to me because i paid my part, I called the day prior, and the day of the delivery. So how is this my fault? Not one word or apology from her. Wow. So if your company had a malfunction and you didnt even update your patient.. you still try to nickle and dime others? Seriously... i was not upset dealing with her employee but she made things exponentially worse. Then on top of that.. another employee comes out with my order in pieces showing me one lense is complete the frame still not attached to the lense and the left lense missing... tell me who in their right mind wants to see they paid 500 bucks for that mess??? If you are going to take someone's money make sure you treat people right. No one is asking for you to roll out the red carpet but have some integrity to your work. For a mere $20 bucks is that what you became an optometrist for? read more

I am amending my review because when I went to pick up my glasses today they did what they could to compensate me for my time and the inconvenience. I appreciate them doing that. We went into Cypress Ranch Vision on January 4th to have an exam, both myself and my husband. We were told at that time that it would take two weeks to receive our glasses. My eyes had a vision change and my current glasses are starting to cause some headaches. I contacted them on January 19th, because it had been two weeks and they told me that my glasses were being shipped on January 22nd, this was absolutely not true - they were NOT being shipped on the 22nd. I contacted them AGAIN on January 29th, still no glasses. This time they said they had "contacted the maker and they would continue to call" and they should be here Wednesday or Thursday. So, IF they arrive today I will have gone a full FOUR weeks waiting for my glasses, twice the amount of time they told me it would take. And continued to deal with the headaches due to their dishonesty. They have in no way offered to compensate me or make this situation better in any way. My husband, who came in on the same day still has not received his glasses, and they told him it would be at least Friday. Horrible customer service, from people who just tell you what you what you want to hear, but do not in any way make sure what they are saying is the truth. Very disappointed. Will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone. read more

Went here to re up on my contacts and for some reason had to jump through hoops. The receptionist kept telling me they couldn't do anything because my insurance didn't register my last set of contacts until 5 months later which is not true. She seemed very confused and all over the place. We sat there for around 45 minutes and waited for her to figure out the system. She kept confusing us with statements she'd later go back on or had no relevance. it got to the point where the other lady working told her to literally 'just stop' because it was evident she was confusing us. After paying for an eye exam which they insisted on doing, they finally gave me my prescription and magically found a way to order contacts after we paid almost full price out of pocket. At least it was handled right? Nope. They gave me 5 days worth of contacts and told me they'd be in no later than a week, 3 weeks later and after calling multiple times and leaving voice mails and not hearing back, i went in to see where the hell my contacts were and a difference receptionist (who was very sweet and helpful) told me 'yeah they're in. The lady forgot to call you'...... are you kidding me? 3 weeks? We're talking about contacts that don't make me blind here..... right? I ordered glasses from the place next door and they were in by 3-4 days later. (Thank GOD they were on top of it or i would have been house ridden for 3 weeks. Yes my eyesight is that bad. I then was told 'use the tester contacts first because 'we aren't sure about your prescription' isn't that what an eye exam was for? Not like it made a difference considering my prescription was exactly the same. The only good thing about this place was the actual eye doctor working, as he was very sweet and informative and quick. I wish he worked at a different location because I'm definitely never going back. I don't know if it was just a bad day or a new receptionist but i wish the process would've been a little easier and more professional. It seemed like no one knew what was going on. read more
