No place I called could give me a straight answer, but one of them recommended I reach out to Modern Lighting. They actually trialled my question on a lamp they had in house, so that I didn't have to drive to them until there was reasonable certainty they could do what I needed. They quoted me a price, and I went in the next day. Not only did they get the job done, it ended up costing less than their estimate. Very grateful to Jeff and the rest of the team that, in this day where there are few specialty experts anymore, they still exist and were super nice to boot!

I needed to add lighting in my dining room. I have been in this house for three years, the ceiling…read morein the dining room didn't have a light fixture. We had two lamps, but I didn't like it because you have to walk over to the lamps in the corner to turn them on in the darkness! An electrician installed a ceiling connection and wired it to a wall switch by the room entrance. I browsed the Lamps Plus website and went to the Pasadena location to see their products in person. So glad I did, I got a good look and selected the perfect ceiling fixture for my home. The sales personnel were very helpful and made recommendations, which made it easier to narrow my choices down to the final three. They have "fancy" chandeliers, LED lighting, wall scones, floor lamps, interior and exterior lighting options. I learned so much about the different styles such as a flush mount, a hanging swag light, and features such as a dimmer with different light tones from high to low. I chose a Mission Tiffany Pendant light (sounds like a necklace, lol). As I write this review, I am in the dining room with the light above me! All I have to do is flip the switch and the room glows. It's the perfect addition to my home. I recommend browsing on their website or coming in person to see first-hand what your options are. Sincerely, Rosemary

However after we started working with Filament Vintage Lighting, they made the process so easy and he gave us options on how to really make it beautiful. He put to much time and effort into this project and helped us fit it into our budget. We can't wait to post photos of these beautiful hanging lamps! (We'll be editing this later to include them!) He used quality parts, rebuild the inside of the lamps, and the encasing of the wires so that they will hang beautifully in our home. Thank you so much for your help!

I placed an online order via their lbclightingpro.com website. I chose them despite being more…read moreexpensive than other online stores, because their website showed that the product was "in stock" (in fact it still shows this) and I didn't want to wait a long time to receive the items. Of the two products I ordered on 9/26, one didn't ship until 10/4 and didn't arrive until 10/10. The other product, as of 10/23, still hasn't even shipped. I wrote an email to inquire about it, and apparently the items in my order were processed "for drop ship direct from manufacturer" and the remaining item hasn't even been manufactured yet. If I'd known it was just going to be direct from manufacturer, I'd have gone to any of the dozens of other websites offering the same thing for lower cost and with free shipping. On the positive side, at least I've received part of my order so it isn't like they've just disappeared with my money, and customer service responded on the next business day so that's nice. I'm just super frustrated that I won't receive my items within the needed timeframe despite explicitly picking a more expensive store with the items "in stock".

Jesse was accommodating as well on another visit. If you want to avoid a long wait before being shown around, I recommend booking an appointment in advance. The store has an extensive inventory, although the showroom isn't large enough to display a significant portion of it. It appears to cater primarily to a higher-end clientele, with many visitors being interior designers rather than homeowners. As expected, prices tend to be on the higher side. If you know the manufacturer's stock number, you may be able to find some of the same items through online retailers such as Wayfair. However, for large purchases like bathtubs, it's worth considering the delivery experience. Ordering elsewhere may carry a greater risk of delays, logistics issues, or the absence of white-glove delivery services.
