Yesterday was my second visit to Champions, my first visit I asked to only take about 3 inches off (some stylists get cut happy) and that's exactly what Lyndsey took off. I knew at that point she listened to what her clients want. So yesterday when I went back for highlight touch up and cut, I asked for 8 inches to be cut off, Lyndsey took the time to explain that cutting off 8 inches and then cutting it in the style I wanted it would be more than 8". This place is amazing in the way in which take the time with their clients to listen to what it is that they want.

No heat styling tools were used at all just a roller brush which I could do myself at the drying station. The first time I came it was a Yelp event promo for service. It was so long ago, I barely remember…read morethe experience since all I got at that time was gloss service. Years later, I come back and I wanted to try a root service from this business because pretty much that's all they do is coloring service. It was easy to book online. It was easy to change your appointment without getting charged. I think the only time you get charged is if you cancel your appointment. So let me remind you that when I walked in I didn't know what to expect. I thought I was getting a relaxing experience. Instead, it was more work than I intended it to be. The woman who did my hair wasn't sure of the shade. I told her I wanted the shade to blend in with the rest of my hair. She did a great job. She was very hospitable however, she didn't explain to me how the process worked. She wasn't very friendly. Tip: if you're getting roots done you can ask for the extended time which is 45 min or the standard time. No one explained to me the process. A different the girl washed my hair. She did a great job. When my hair was washed, she asked me if I wanted a brush or a comb. I wasn't expecting to be asked that question. She proceeded to walk me to this bar where there were a blow dryer and hair products. She pretty much left me there. I'm pretty speechless at this point because obviously from everything that's going on I can figure out myself that it's DO YOUR OWN HAIR. If you want to invest in a blow dryer, the Dyson works faster and the business should invest in providing microfiber hair towels. Their hair dryer took forever to dry my hair. .I walked out there with partially wet hair. I wasn't going to stay in the entire time to blow dry my hair and do my hair right where everyone is sitting. In fact, I just wanted to get out of there. I wanted to take a look at my hair to see the roots were recovered and that was pretty much it. What I failed to check is the color was left on my hairline from the hair wash. Smh.. The woman who colored my roots didn't check to see if the roots turned out ok. She wasn't the one who checked me out either. She went on to the next person without even acknowledging a thank you for coming in or hope you like your hair. Despite her lack of customer service, I still left her gratuity. Unfortunately, I'll never return to this location. No customer service. Disappointed. Feedback: If you're looking for new customers or new members for that matter, you might want to reiterate the process of how your business works because as I was sitting there, I was interested in being a member. It was a great price, but after this experience, I don't think I'm going to return. I can go to another for salon for the same price who blow dry + style for the same price. Madison Reed charges extra for everything here.

I hadn't dyed my hair in 5 years with trims every other year. I had finally decided I wanted…read morechange. My hair used go down to my butt. I came in because I was referred by some relatives and had been following the Cutting Team on Instagram. I came in for a haircut and a balayage. I wanted a caramel color so that it would be a subtle change. I had let the stylist know that I had dry hair that easily tangled. I loved that as soon as I got in for my appointment the stylists/owners got straight to work with bleaching and separating my hair. When I had previously gotten my hair dyed it was at home with my sister. I had the pleasure of walking around and doing whatever I wanted. During the bleaching process I started to get fidgety but I didn't say anything discouraging about the process. I was confused about why I had to sit for such a long time with the bleach because I only wanted my hair a couple shades lighter. After the bleaching process, I got my hair washed and toned. The toning process took way less time than the bleach. After my hair was done toning, the stylists proceeded to brush out my hair. I had already told them about the nature of my hair and they still decided to use a metal roller brush instead of a wet brush. Because they brushed my hair with a metal roller brush on wet hair, just brushing my hair took so long and there was a lot of breakage. I'm not tender headed but with the amount of time it took to brush my hair and with the type of brush, my head was sore. They finally finished and we moved on to the haircut. When I had walked in to my appointment, they had asked me what kind of haircut I wanted and after I said "layers" they said "okay." I wanted lots of layers but didn't feel like I could say anything after the "okay." It was almost as if they knew what I wanted. I let it slide which was my fault. Since they already knew what kind of haircut I wanted, the stylist just started cutting. When she was done she said, "there, long layers." I didn't think much of it since you can't really mess up layers. After my haircut, I got my hair blow dried and styled. Overall, it took 5 hours for the whole process and I paid $306 after tip. It wasn't until the next day that I could see all the mistakes made. My layers are pretty much nonexistent and someone said they looked "chunky." My hair was also extremely off compared to the color I wanted and what I got. It was too blonde and looked like 2007 chunky highlights. I called back 2 days later to schedule a correction. The week of the correction appointment Texas had a winter storm with power outages and water issues. I hadn't received any calls from the salon prior to the appointment about rescheduling, mind you it was 3 days after the initial winter storm. I texted the stylist about rescheduling and she said appointments were cancelled until they were back up and running. I was understanding and wished her family well. A couple more days go by and The Cutting Teams Instagram made a post about how they were open for business again and yet I hadn't received a call about rescheduling. A couple more days and still no call, I finally called and scheduled the correction. When I came in for the correction I had let the previous and new stylist know that the bottom portion of my hair seemed lighter than what I wanted. The old stylist skimmed through my hair and gave the new stylist instructions. The new stylist was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She sectioned my hair so that the back of my head was the only thing that was being re-toned. After the toning I got my hair dried and thought everything looked good. When I got home I realized that now the front portion of my head was a completely different color than what was perfectly re-toned. I'm am absolutely disappointed with the customer service. I had extremely high hopes for this place because of the referrals, reviews, and posts. I was let down twice. For my initial appointment I felt as though the owners/stylists were in a rush, inattentive, and cold. I wished the stylists/owners would have noticed that my hair color didn't match what I wanted after the initial balayage session. Had they told me I needed to come back to tone down my hair I would have been perfectly fine. For the correction appointment, one of the owners/previous stylist only skimmed through my hair instead of actually double checking their work and noticing mistakes. Everything seemed so rushed. I would sadly never recommend any of my friends to go here. Attached are pictures of what I wanted, what I received, and how my hair used to be.

I had been growing my hair out for four…read moreyears; it was mid-back length and I came in asking for a professional, office-appropriate haircut with a wash, blow-dry, and styling. Unfortunately, the result was not what I asked for. My hair is now uneven, with the front cut up to mid-throat length while the back sits around shoulder length, leaving it looking like an unintentional, poorly blended bob. The cut is difficult to style and doesn't look polished. In addition, the service didn't match what was requested. Instead of a proper blow-dry and style as requested. My hair was simply flat-ironed straight and flat with no real shaping or finishing. I paid about $75 and left feeling very unhappy. I'll now have to go somewhere else to get it fixed, likely cutting it even shorter just to make it look even and presentable. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially after spending years growing out my hair. I wouldn't return based on this visit nor would I suggest this along to anybody that I considered a friend.
