I came in for a blow out with Marisa and loved my experience here. - Location: Next to Sprint store. Took me a while to drive around and it's a big salon at the corner. - Service: We started with a mimosa and I felt very relaxed talking to Marisa. I just got my hair dyed so she was extra careful to use products to protect the colors. I absolutely adore the tea tree contritioner and hot towel that they use at the end of the hair wash. It made my scalp feel so refreshed. - Style: I love how Marisa took her time to style my hair. I feel like I was ready to attend a wedding walking out of there. So unprofessional. I had an appointment booked at 12:30pm this past Monday and when I went for my haircut I entered the building because the door was unlocked but there was no one there for the next 45 mins, the lights and AC were off. I called them 6 times as well as left a voicemail but got no response. I would usually go to them for my haircuts but will not be going back because of this. read more

My appointment was with Sam, she is wonderful! Sam is a mind reader; I wasn't able to verbalize what I wanted done but I left very happy with the results. I have an asymmetric cut style that I have been trying to figure out how to make work for a while, Sam's version is the best, it works for my hairs' texture and requires little effort each morning. The staff entire staff at the salon is very customer focused. There were a few nice little details that add up to be a big deal. My appointment was at 6:00pm, the sun was coming through the waiting area windows hot so one of the employees showed my to a place that was out of the sun and pointed out the available power outlet just in case I needed one. This is a small kindness but it stands out to me because she genuinely cared about my comfort while I waited. Before washing and conditioning my hair, I was asked what problems (if any) I tend to have with my hair. She used that information to select what products to use. I was dreading getting my haircut but it was time- I was looking a hot mess. I had gotten a haircut a few weeks ago at a very popular hair place at the mall; you know what I'm talking about; its green & black and you never know what you're going to get. I paid $70 (what was I thinking?) & it was horrible. Since moving back from Minneapolis, where I had an amazing hair stylist I just hadn't made the time to find a good place. I finally got fed up of horrible haircuts, so I set out to find someone permanent and I FOUND HER!! Angeles was amazing! She fixed my haircut and it only cost me $29 bucks-- so cheap! Since she did such a great job on my cut I decided to come back the next day and get my hair colored. She did balayage on my hair and I have to say look pretty damn good!! The original quote for my color was $115, but at the end she charged me less because she didn't use as much product as she thought. Umm, how thoughtful is that?!! BEST HAIR SALON! So this was my experience. I went and I was nervous because I did a walk-in without knowing anything about the hair salón. I went to get my hair done for my wedding and I honestly have never seen a job done better than what I got at that salon. The ladies were so attentive and so helpful. They accommodated my look to the best of their ability because I wasn't really sure what I wanted. Yet they still pulled off the most beautiful look! They were mindful and honest about what dos would go with my hair or not because of the type, length and weight of my hair. They braided a thin braid in the middle of head horizontally and covered it with the rest of my hair so you wouldn't see it but it was so that my veil had a ledge to grasp on. I walked in this afternoon hoping to just get a quick trim. I was greeted by the receptionist who was very sweet then the hair stylist )I believe her name was Alyssa) came from behind her and was very rude. I told them I just wanted a quick haircut Alyssa said their next availability is until 4-4:15 I then said that would be great I live down the street I can come back not a problem. Alyssa rolled her eyes and said just put her at 4:15 I don't have time for and said something under her breathe. I get their may only be 2 hairstylist in the salon but you really don't have to be rude. If this place was by appointment only I would have called but it says new guests welcome on the door! Melissa gave me her professional advice and I let her take over. She gave me a great look all while keeping in mind what I want my hair to look like. Hair came out great 1 star and staff was nice 1 star. I was quoted a certain price when I came in , they had a chance to look at my hair and gave it a fair price. I had my hair highlighted and agreed on the price however when I was done, $80 more dollars was added to it. I can understand that if the stylist had said they needed to mix more color as I always had to get done, i don't have a problem with it, However they left the bleach on my hair too long and had to use toner and whatnot to get it back to the right color and charged me for all that extra that they messed up on. They should always let the customer know how much more things cost and COMMUNICATE with them. read more

I got my hair done and I just wanted to have a trim, I asked for an inch or two to be cut off, instead I lost 7 inches. I also asked for my ends to come into a V shape, instead it's a straight cut and it's choppy. I love my hair stylist and I've never had this problem before, but I'm just disappointed in how it turned out. I was very clear I feel about keeping my length yet I lost all of it. read more

Ive been here once before and loved it. I have really thick coarse curly hair. Angeles did so well on my hair. It was soft and had soooo much movement. I rraved about it to my mom and got her to schedule an appointment when I decided to schedule again. We both scheduled it a week in advance. When it was the day of my moms appointment, she showed up and her schedule was no where to be found. We were both upset especially since I told her how much I loved this place. Two days later, it was my appointment. When I got there, once again my appointment was no longer found as well. I drove an hour to get there to make sure I was at least 10 minutes early. I live in Humble but got off of work at 5:30 to be there by at least 6:20pm. I guess it's better if you just walk in versus making an appointment a week in advance. Cause there may be "technical difficulties " or they just "don't know what happened" to your appointment. I don't know about you, but I'm a pretty busy person so I have to make an appointment and put time to the side for myself. That time was the only time the hairstylist and I could come up with before I flew out of state to see my husband. This was the main reason why I wanted to get my hair done. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars vs 1, is because Joe, the owner is a sweet heart. I reached out to him when the issue arose. He did his best to figure try to figure out the issue and wanted to make it up to me. He's a very understanding, caring man and compassionate about his work. read more

James L was the artist that turned my frizzy dry mess into a beautiful healthy head of hair! Purchased a Groupon and it just so happened they were offering an additional 10% off so I really received a wash and haircut for less than $23. (Typically end up paying twice this or more as I have thick and very long locks). I made an appointment over the phone with the first opening on a Sunday - 12 noon & when I had asked for someone who was well versed with thicker hair, I was booked with Christina. I showed up 10 minutes beforehand and filled out the paperwork they had given to me. I sat down and waited for her. Whilst I waited, I overheard their owner (male gentleman) call her to remind her she had a client waiting. It was the first appointment of the day, wasn't a ridiculously early time, AND it wasnt as if she was busy with another client prior to my time slot. She showed up maybe 10-15 minutes later, quickly got settled, and I received a dry cut. Haircut was okay - nothing spectacular, nothing over the top. Was more of a trim, really. No wash as I had requested for a dry cut - thank God I didn't as I would've been there for too long since she was late. To make matters worse, I was really not impressed with her lackadaisical mouth. I get it, I'm a new client, you make small talk. No big deal, right? She asked what part of town I lived in and after stating where the area I resided in, her response was, "It's ghetto over there." Wow! Professional! Thoroughly not impressed as a first time customer. Will definitely not be back nor would I recommend going there. Yes. I tipped her a large amount so maybe she can buy an alarm clock and some couth and manners. read more

I had an appointment with Angeles on Sunday (1/31/2016). To begin with, she shampooed my hair and started to cut it when she excused herself to wash another clients hair. I sat in the chair for 15 minute with soaking wet hair in a VERY cold salon. There were two other girls working there. I was not sure why they couldn't wash someone's hair. I was VERY clear how short I wanted my hair cut. I told to keep it below the shoulder and i wanted some layers. She cut it one inch above my shoulder, with no layers. She knew she cut it too short and suggested a bob hair cut. At this point I knew something was wrong. I was horrified. I originally had an appointment with Judith that I wish I would have kept. A $45 hair cut is so much more worth it than a $29. Will never come here again. read more

Not only did Samantha give me the best smoky eyes and contoured cheeks, but she also gave me tips on how to recreate her look later! Unlike many salons, she didn't push any products on me, but I LOVED the brand Glo, as I typically am susceptible to eczema. I was a walk-in and Angeles cut my hair. She did a wonderful job and I especially enjoyed hearing all her hair advice! Even though my haircut ended up shorter than where she said it would be, I still liked the end result and hair grows longer anyways!! I had a satisfactory time and I'll come back when it's time for another haircut. Also, getting the warm towel on my head after the shampoo/conditioner was a nice and new, relaxing surprise.
