I was so excited to visit this place after reading all the positive reviews; however, our…read moreexperience was a letdown due to the hospitality (or lack of it). We were here earlier than usual (10:30 am, don't judge me for drinking before noon!!!) and we're the only customers. It's uniquely located at a camp ground, but parking is a bit limited. The tasting room is small but has amble seating. There was a piano in the tasting room and no one was at the tasting room when we entered. My daughter who is a beginner pianist, wanted to play. Since there were no signs on the piano that forbid people touching, she went ahead and played. Then an older gentleman came in and told us in a stern tone that the piano is not for playing. He was not friendly at all and even after we apologized and ordered a flight for sampling, he still was not engaging. I'm not sure if he is the brew master or just someone works for the campsite store, but he didn't seem too happy to be there. We had the 2 stouts, an Amber, and pilsner on tap for our flight. They were all just OK. We didn't want to order more because his attitude and the sense that we were not welcomed there... Which was too bad because it was a nice space with plenty of outdoor seating, a playground in the back for kids to play while parents enjoy some refreshing beer. We will most likely not go back again given the cold-shoulder treatment.

The beers are great and the owner will even take time to walk you through the different types if you catch him. The staff are always friendly and nice. Overall, I definitely recommend checking out and supporting Barley Naked!

Overall this location is nice. There's plenty of parking outside and the store is nicely organized. I passed by a couple different staff and no one said anything to me. No greeting and I wasn't offered assistance despite the fact I was aimlessly walking around. The store isn't huge but does have a big selection. To me the prices seemed higher than the liquor stores near me. I will say I saw several promotions throughout the store, several that had a free mini bottle attached. (Which I never see in DC / MOCO) I was impressed with the mini bottle section and the prices were spot on in that department. I didn't end up buying anything since I could get most of it cheaper where I live- but that doesn't mean this isn't a good stop if you're in a jam.
