We started with the bread assortment, which included flatbreads, rolls, dipping sauces, and butter. We also tried the fried artichoke leaves--they were perfectly crisp, tender, and delicious. For my entrée, I had the branzino with crispy skin, and it was cooked to perfection. The combination of lemon, herbs, and capers worked beautifully, and the fish practically melted in your mouth. They just opened and are still working out a few of the inevitable kinks that come with a new restaurant, but when it comes to the food, they absolutely hit the bullseye. Definitely worth checking out.

I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. But don't be fooled! We had an amazing experience and definitely recommend Bacchus. The owner was very kind and introduced us to the winery, showing us around and explaining how they do things. We opted for a tasting of both the red and white wines (complimentary!) and sat in a high top table at the tasting area adjacent to the shop. The owner explained each wine's name and flavor when he brought the trays over. We had so much fun! Each one was delicious and we had a great time tasting & talking.

The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere with exposed brick and wood. There is not much room inside if you are waiting to be seated and they will maintain a waitlist for seats at the bar. I do like that the people working the host stand will take a drink order and a server will bring your drinks while you are waiting and that will be added to your table bill so no need to worry about paying separately for the drinks. The food is very good but most entrees are a-la-carte. Prices are high but not outrageous for quality steak cuts. The wine list is extensive but most of the bottle prices are very high. I advised him that Merlot is my preferred wine, and he graciously showed me the available Merlot selections. I chose a half-bottle of Duckhorn. For my meal, Trevor recommended the steak and the soup. Both were delicious. The soup was excellent, and the mashed potatoes were clearly homemade, which was a nice touch. My only disappointment was that the steak was heavily charred--almost blackened. I was also surprised that the entrée was not accompanied by a vegetable. Despite those minor shortcomings, the meal was delicious, and Trevor provided excellent service throughout the evening. In fact, I suspect that because of the overly charred steak, the restaurant generously comped my coffee, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, this was a very enjoyable dining experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and Trevor's knowledge and attentiveness contributed significantly to my positive experience.

One side of the main building is the winery area, and the other side is the brewery area, the signage is a little hard to decipher, but it's pretty easy to figure out by asking. The wines were delicious, I tried a white and a red, and Anna, who served me, was very patient with my questions, even though the line was long. I appreciated that and I didn't feel rushed. The other young lady also helped me, and the staff was incredibly nice, even though the line was very long. There are multiple picnic tables out in the open area in front of the stage, and there's a lovely seating area right in front of the winery and around the side, and there's even a little hidden grotto that's very pretty. They have lights outside, so it probably looked very pretty after dark too. If you want to sit at the picnic tables, pick one under a tree, because the sun does get pretty brutal. I also recommend possibly bringing something to sit on, or you can bring a blanket and sit in the grass. I brought a large cooler with a picnic,, and they did come and inspect it, but it was fairly perfunctory. I brought my own nonalcoholic things to drink, in glass bottles, and I had my own glass, and there was not an issue with that. I would advise bringing some food, as at this gathering I think the only food truck was a pizza truck. When I had gone before, they gave the option of a fruit and cheese platter, but I didn't see any this time. I think the food trucks rotate, but you could probably call and ask. It's a lovely place, but if you don't know where you're going, you might miss it, so look for the sign in and a white truck with black lettering with the name of the brewery and the Vineyard on it. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this for an afternoon, and they have rotating bands that play, and it makes for a lovely day out.

We never asked for our food to be rushed -- we simply wanted an update because we had already been waiting far longer than expected. When our food was eventually brought out by another staff member, it was cold after nearly two hours of waiting. At that point, my husband asked to speak with the manager because not only was the wait time unacceptable, but the food was also cold. The manager eventually came to our table, apologized for the delay, and offered to discount the meal. My husband thanked him for the apology, but by that point, we decided the experience was not worth salvaging. We told the manager we did not want the cold food or watered-down drinks.
