I ended up parking in a lot behind the business - and walking through a connecting alley to Davis Street.

This assortment had two whites and two reds--all of which earned gold medals at competitions. For lunch, we shared the grilled cheese with apple slices and the Eastwood salad, which included apples, blue cheese, nuts, and mixed greens. All were delightful. The tasting room has a warm vibe of a country gathering place with tables, a bar, and a stage. They also have outside seating. Their fermentation room has a glass wall that looks into the tasting room so you can see the tanks. Eastwood is located not far from Monticello and other wineries in the area. I recommend it as a definite stop on any wine outing.

We walked inside and found a great space that included a bar, ample seating, and a stage, where a singer was getting ready to perform. I decided on the White Reserve Tasting, and was able to swap out the oaky chardonnay for the Woodland White blend. My friend and I got a table outside as the weather was nice. We enjoyed our wine and people (and dog) watching. My favorites were the 2024 Viognier and the Woodland White. The 2024 Petit Manseng was good, but a bit tart, and the Artist White blend was too dry for my liking. This is a great winery that you should visit when in the area, that's both kid and dog friendly.

I was last here almost 9 years ago. Oh boy, how different it is!…read more I came expecting a relatively small scale operation. So you can imagine my surprise when I saw a huge building with their branding. The interior is spacious, with multiple tables for tastings, each with its own bartender. There are far more options to taste than you can try in one sitting, but your server will help you narrow it down to 4. I liked to loved everything I had. They even had some weird options that I was tempted to try but I went for a more traditional flight (although I definitely want to return for the coffee whisky). The only option I wasn't in love with was the smokehouse, but that's just a personal preference. After my tasting I learned they were doing some kind of slushys as well, so I got one of those. I thought it was a very fun, informative experience. I'll also have to try the "Proof" kitchen as well.

We recently stopped in to this new location at the 2 Silos complex after having an amazing brunch at Proof. The folks here are very friendly and helpful. They do some really good things with their distillery, it's definitely worth coming in to see them! They don't do the special cocktail evenings like they used to at their last location anymore, but Proof (attached to this building) serves cocktails featuring their spirits.

I decided on a flight of Provocateur, Bullet Sponge, Leftenant and a Molotov Fizz seltzer. One friend got a flight of cider and seltzer, and the other got a beer. We sat outside on the covered porch as it was a nice day and enjoyed our drinks. This is a smaller sized location with pretty views and a friendly staff. Their beverage options are a bit more limited than other places, but it's worth stopping in if you're in the area.

The tasting room is small, but there is seating outside (fortunately they also have an actual bathroom, not a porta-potty). There were chickens walking around so be careful where you park! I tried flights of the beer and cider. For the beer, my favorite by FAR was the Belgian Wit. I liked but didn't love the others. The ciders were also good, although not always my style. Personally I like a drier, more 'natural' cider making style, as opposed to flavor-filled ones. But to each their own; there's no wrong answer for this. They advertise themselves as a winery, but at least so far they don't have their own wine. But they do have a selection of local wineries, including Pearmund and Old House. Those are good ones to have, so if you visit for wine you'll be very happy. I love the Veteran/Military theme that permeated their decoration and literature.

The wine tasting was nice. With large parties you are given a flight to try. No need to stand in the tasting room. I liked several of the flavors. After the tasting we took a walk around the grounds taking in all the animals. Because it was winter, we didn't spend a lot of time in the lavender fields. We did however visit the lavender shop. I purchased a lavender honey spot and some delightful lemon crunch lavender ice cream. Overall staff were friendly. I would recommend this business for anyone in the area or visiting massanutten.

You really get to enjoy an immersive, interactive experience on the farm. There is something for everyone, from interactive gardens and live animals. The best for a cute little DIY wine tasting. You can bring your own charcuterie platters, which is what we did to go along with our tastings. They have tasting room called the Purple Wolf Vineyard where you can purchase your portable tastings, wine, beer and slushy flights . I would definitely return again, great place to host a cute birthday event, with your friends. They also have a really nice gift shop as well.

I had such a great experience at Boyd Cru Wines Tasting Room. From the moment you walk in, you can…read morefeel that this is more than just a wine tasting room, it's a true community space. I was really impressed by their commitment to supporting the community and showcasing other small businesses. That intention shows up in every detail, from the collaborations to the overall vibe. The food was so good. The jerk chicken was a standout, flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the charcuterie board was fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully done. Pair that with their wine cocktails and you're in for a treat. They're creative, well-crafted, and honestly some of my favorite wine-based cocktails I've had. What really sets Boyd Cru apart is that it's family-owned and operated, and they truly make you feel like family while you're there. Warm, welcoming, and intentional. Bonus: the space is also available to rent for private events, which is such a great option for anyone looking to host something intimate and meaningful. Highly recommend stopping by, whether for a tasting, a cocktail, brunch on Sundays or to support a local gem that's doing things the right way.

The venue? Gorgeous! The staff? Superb!…read moreThe wines? Phenomenal! This spot is a hidden gem... and I almost don't wanna tell yall about it. But it's too good to keep to myself. The whole place is a vibe. The decor is thoughtful, intentional, cozy, and inviting. The staff were welcoming, genuine, and extremely knowledgeable. Whether your are vino virgin or a cultured connoisseur, this spot is unpretentious and overwhelmingly welcome. But make no mistake... these ladies know their way around a grape, and they are well equipped to tell you whatever you need to know about what's in your glass. Let's get into these wines. I highly recommend the flight to get familiar with the different wines they have to offer. The Sparkling Vidal Blanc is not included in the pairing, so go on and get you a glass of that too. Trust me. The "Community" Vidal Blanc is easily one of the best bottles of white that has ever blessed my palate. Crisp, refreshing, full of bright, summery flavors but not too sweet... it's practically begging to be paired with a delicious plate of seafood (preferably one cooked with butter and lots of garlic). This is a great sipping wine, and an even better one to pair with dinner. The "Free Spirit" rose is another great sipping wine. Light, slightly sweet, and full of character, this was also a really great glass of wine. I like my reds a little bolder, so the "Living Legacy" red was not my favorite. It was still a good sip, and if you enjoy reds a little on the lighter side, this might be for you. Still worth a try in my book. Now I love bubbles and the only thing I enjoyed more than the vidal blanc was the sparkling vidal blanc! There's so much character in this bubbly... you'll have to taste and experience it for yourself. For me personally, it's high on the list of the best sparkling wines I've every had. If a plain glass of wine is not your thing, no worries. They also offer a number of wine-based cocktails, as well. In partnership with nearby businesses, the winery offers a limited variety of snacks including charcuterie boards, flatbreads, cake flights, as well as trail mix and popcorn available at the bar. I got the Smith Island Cake flight. While it's definitely not authentic Smith Island Cake, it's good to curb a raging sweet tooth. Speaking of partnerships, the winery also offers products from other local small businesses for sale: spices, body care products, jewelry and other items... So you can sip and shop. A few small areas of improvement I would recommend. -More, bigger and better signage...especially on the street. I was driving all around the area, then roaming all over Savage Mill Shopping Center before I finally found my way. -Provide more parking details, landmarks and directions on the website. (I ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood, only to find that there was a free parking lot available). -Expand snack offerings... perhaps sell individually packaged snacks from local businesses for purchase within the winery. -Consider adding a flight that will allow patrons to try all of the wines available. Shoutout to Eden and the crew for such a fantastic afternoon of good vibes and great wine. I'll be back... and I'm bringing friends!

They offered both tastings and flights, but my friend and I both chose a glass of Rosé. The staff member had described it as crisp and dry, but it was still a bit too sweet for my preference - not terrible though. We sat on the rocking chairs outside and admired the nice view of green fields. I think they were setting up for a private event in the meantime, because people kept showing up with their own trays of food, and a whole bunch of children and dogs. This place is serene and extremely peaceful and I could probably just sit outside and take everything in for hours. There are a few boardgames to play as well. There aren't a lot of seating inside, but during the daytime, the place was very laid back and not overcrowded. There are no marked parking spaces, but people typically park on the grass and there is ample space for so many cars. The interior of the main building was very simple and "bare bones" but had a homely charm to it and the lovely woman who served our flights was such a gentle, warm person who complemented the peacefulness of the place! My friend and I ended up buying our own bottles of wine and my fiance absolutely loved the Barren Ridge's Touriga wine that I got for him! Will definitely be back to bring him the next time around! Just a great place to take a step back and enjoy some wine!
