I love and I mean, I love Total Wine. I have been going there for years and everybody has always been so so nice respectful and I've always appreciated that. Today I went in there to get some wine and this black lady was at the register reading a book! i'm not sure if she was a manager or training, but she was not nice and I mean not very nice. She was not very personable and she should not have been on the register. If I ever go back in there again and she's at the register, I will not let her wait on me. read more

We just moved to this area a few months ago. I love wine and when I heard about your store, came right here to get the scoop on location, store hours, etc. BUT, all I really came away with was how BAD your STAFF is...I hope it's now "was." I'm planning to check y'all out and see if you've removed the obviously BAD employees. If you haven't, I won't be buying anything because it means you don't listen. This is a small location compared to other Total Wine locations that I've shopped. The staff aren't friendly. If you need help with something, good luck finding someone to help you. I wouldn't recommend this location. We stopped at this location as another Total Wine location advised us this location had the items we wanted. Unfortunately, after having to locate someone to help us, we were told that they didn't have it. Upon shopping for something else, we located the item ourselves. This location is conveniently located in Central Park right off of Route 3. Easy access on and off of I-95. read more

The customer service here is horrible. Since the minute we entered, these women at the front did not have a friendly face- they were rude and looked as if they hated they're jobs. Wow, things have changed...we used to have such good customer service but not anymore. We order a keg on Monday , hoping it would come in on Tuesday, like usual. Never heard anything so figured we ordered too late. But went in on Thursday, to get other stuff, and decided to check in keg frig, and there was a keg that we special ordered with no info. On it. It's a typical mass beer store and typical Total Wine & More. Just like all of their stores, they have a huge selection of pretty much everything, but no inventory control to ensure freshness. A lot of excessively old shelfies that should be greatly reduced or removed from inventory all together. Friend and I managed to find some decent beers to enjoy while we're in the area. In traditional fashion, really no customer service on the floor. It's a mega beer store, what are the expectations really? I came here with my roommate to get some ciders and when we go to checkout, the closing cashier asked for id's (which is totally normal. i get it.) but I was not purchasing anything and did not have mine on me at all. The cashier calls the manager for an "ID check". When the manager got up front she asked for my birthdate and after confirming I was 21+, she asked me to wait outside. (which is a little lame but also still fine I guess). I went outside as I was told and waited for my roommate to complete the transaction. As my roommate was leaving, the cashier said to her "I'm not in the mood to ruin a date". So basically the moral of this is just to say don't go here unless you want your sexuality assumed. read more

I think because of the long Labor Day layover and also the kickoff of my college football weekend is probably why beer is on my mind today. While Total Wine has an abundant selection of wines to offer, I generally pass on their wine offerings... I visit Trader Joe's for that. My journey to Total Wine today was for beer. It most certainly trumps "most" things in life and is a joy that should be honored as well as cherished. While I'm far from being a heavy drinker and in most circles would be considered a social one, we all remember those first few tastes of this wonderful legal libation. Whether we turn to those memories and develop comfort from sipping on recollections of times gone by or we turn to them for their inherent low cost appeal, we turn to them none the less. In today's world where the cultural fabric of our global economy gets further reaching, we could be sampling the offerings from fine breweries in Belgium, United Kingdom, Mexico or the United States in a moments notice. While we all love this aspect and the joys associated from expanding our ever refining palate, our mind periodically wanders back to those fruitful memories of the beers that brought us here. This one goes out to Pabst Blue Ribbon, Miller High Life, Old Milwaukee and Schaefer for shaping me into the man that I am today. While we all have our own choices, one thing remains true..... that the way to a mans heart is a healthy dose of man flowers. I love going here for wine and craft beer/Belgian beer selections. Their selection is fairly extensive and that has made me pretty spoiled. I just assumed every store selling wine has a nice selection of Soaves. Imagine my surprise when I had trouble finding Soave at all at several wine stores in Manhattan! (the more famous places of course had it). But that's nice that I can do that in a rural location. I like being able to pick up bottles of Abita if I am making Cajun food or coming home with a full-sized Gulden Draak because I am in the mood for it. And everything is well-marked here. I know exactly how many points each wine has received in Wine Advocate; ditto for the beers with Beer Advocate. Finally, the people who work here are always really friendly and helpful, and the place is not the least bit pretentious. Recommend! read more

I love this store, everyone who works there seem to love their jobs and it shows from the moment you enter. I like this place a lot. I am pretty sure they are the reason the Fredericksburg Wegman's does not have the beer selection of the Woodbridge location. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and the prices are pretty good. This is almost always my first stop for seasonal beverages, and hard to find items. Great selection. I was able to find quite a few imports that I am unable to get back home. 1 star deduction though for out of date inventory (item i specifically went there for was showing as being in stock online but was no where to be found in the store) and 1 star deduction for not restocking the item as promised (the gentleman who assisted me with figuring out how they were missing the unable to be located import said that they would have it back in stock on Wednesday - when I stopped in on Sunday, it was still not in stock). This wouldn't be a deal breaker if I was local, but I am from out of state and made special trips to the store while passing on I95 which is a PITA due to the horrible traffic on 95. I passed on buying in NC as the beer was more expensive than it was at Total Wine, but it turns out I should have ponied up as TW want able to deliver. read more

I called total wine about a month ago to get a price estimate on a keg for a home coming for my brother who is a US Marine and was never talked to more unprofessionally in my life. The woman that answered the phone was so rude to me and cut me off mid sentence to talk to someone else in the store and huffed and puffed whenever i tried to ask her a question. I could not believe how poor that customer service was so i thanked them for their time hung up and chose to take my business elsewhere. I happily gave my money to Blue and Grey Brewery who appreciate their costumers and have better quality beer anyway! read more
