Polish peeling off after one day, uneven shaping, sloppy work

Starting off, I never write reviews but I feel like I have to warn about certain people's work. I'm going to let the photos speak for themselves. What I asked for vs the work i received. These photos are from the following day after I got my nails done. I did go in and get my nails redone with cammy and they looked AMAZING afterwards. If you're going to come to this salon- book with cammy! Giving stars here for cammy's work and the time she spent redoing and perfecting my nails after lazy sloppy work done the day prior. Thank you!

I came in with both my daughters [11&12] this place has a very quiet nice vibe to relax. The chairs massage is actually enjoyable not rough like other places. They open early on weekends which makes it great to come in before you get your day started. Definitely recommended

I went on thursday to get a pedicure. They advertise all around the place that it is a $15 pedicure. I also got a text that there's a $15 pedicure. When me and my daughter arrived we sat down and received the menu. we just said we wanted the basic and nothing fancy. the lady asked us if we wanted regular or gel. my daughter asked how much gel was and the lady said free. so we got the gel. when it came time to pay it was $52 for each of us. coming to $104 total. I told them that we got the $15 pedicure. they said no you got the $37. we said no but they said we did. they told us we should have asked for the $15 pedicure at the start. no where on the menu does it advertise the $15 service. that is false advertisement. they also lied to us saying that the gel was free. they scammed us. we tried to reason with them but nope. do not go here. they are deceitful and scammers!!! read more

What should have been a simple conversation felt more complicated than necessary, as there seemed to be frustration over me changing my mind from the original French tip. It was confusing, especially since I had made an appointment ahead of time, they weren't close to closing, and several technicians appeared to be available. As my appointment went on, I also became concerned about the cleanliness of the salon. The pedicure tub didn't appear to be cleaned, there were no plastic liners, and a tool that had been dropped on the floor was still used afterward. I left feeling disappointed by the interaction, but even more frustrated after paying $130 and having three of my nails pop off the very next day. I returned to have them fixed, and while they repaired them without any issue, two more nails came off the following morning. I understand that things happen, but between the sanitation concerns, the quality of the work, and having to make multiple trips back to the salon, I was disappointed with my overall experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

This is my first time here and specifically choose this place because of the reviews. I am from out of town and was visiting family for a wedding and wanted to get ombré French tip and gel pedicure. I called two days prior to make an appointment. If you're not from Lodi area, finding the place was not as easy. I plugged in their address in the GPS and it took me in the complete opposite direction. Maybe local google maps need to update it? But I was able to find the place by calling the salon. The salon is located in the same plaza where Ross and 99 cent store is located. As you walk in the atmosphere and environment is very welcoming. I had Cammy for my pedicure and she did a phenomenal job. I usually pay for a basic pedicure but wanted to splurge a bit. I ended up doing #18 for my pedicure which included a scrub, paraffin wax, and some other thing that included stones (sorry I forgot) which cost $35 and for gel an extra $15. As for my ombré French tip, I had Lan do my nails and she too did an amazing job! Both of these ladies are very meticulous at what they do and I am very happy with the outcome. Both Cammy and Lan took their time with me and didn't rush (which I like). My overall experience here at VIP nail salon is 10/10! From the moment you walk in, get seated, getting serviced and the moment you leave you feel great and this place left me with a great first Impression. Mom and Daughter Day! It was our first visit and the place and the technicians were amazing! This will be our new permanent place to go. Service was great and attention to detail and comfort to us the customer was very much attended too. I have severe anxiety and this was my first time ever getting my nails done to where I was actually able to relax. My technician (Julie) had to remove my old nails and did so with so much detail and made it so comfortable and painless. I've gotten my nails done a million times over the years and this was also the first time someone didn't try to just pry the nail off and butcher my actual nail. She took her time and soaked my nails and removed my nails pain free! Even managed to make my real nail look healthy under the fake nail. She also took great care with my cuticles which I swear nobody ever really does unless you ask. Overall this was a great experience and I look forward to going back. read more

1 star Extremely disappointing experience at VIP Nails in Lodi. I went in expecting my nails to be properly prepared and fixed, but they didn't fix my nails or even cut them before starting to paint. During the appointment, nail tools/products were being slammed down, which made the experience very uncomfortable. I specifically asked for brown nails and ended up with black. My nails were also left looking worse than when I came in. When I explained that I was unhappy and asked for a refund because the service I paid for was not properly completed, they refused to give my money back and I was met with verbally aggressive and disrespectful behavior. Mistakes happen, but customers should be treated with professionalism and respect, especially when they have paid for a service that wasn't completed properly. I would not recommend VIP Nails based on my experience. read more

I decided to give this place a try since it's new and close to home. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure for my baby shower. I got the basic services but their selection of services look really cool, I'd like to try one of the fancier pedicure options the next time I go. Having said that, the classic pedicure was still very relaxing and it got the job done. Vince helped me and he did a really great job massaging both my hands and feet. I was so relaxed afterward!! He also fixed two broken nails and paid attention to detail while polishing my nails which I really appreciate. He checked in with me throughout my services and made sure I was comfortable and had a beverage at hand. I just got a pedicure at VIP Nails & Spa and it was hands-down the best one I've ever had! The salon was spotless, calming, and had such a luxurious vibe the moment I walked in. The staff were so kind and professional, making me feel comfortable and taken care of from start to finish. My technician was AMAZING -- she didn't rush at all and put so much attention into every detail. The soak, scrub, and foot care were perfect, and the massage was pure relaxation. Literally felt like I was walking on clouds after! It's clear they take pride in their work and truly care about their customers having a top-tier experience. It was fairly busy when I came in, with all nail techs working with customers. I came in for a classic pedicure, and the wait time was about 15 minutes. The service was a little awkward, but I knew the employees had good intentions haha. The pedicure felt nice, the chair was comfortable, and the tech who did my pedicure was very polite! Also, the service lasted for about 40 minutes, so they don't really rush their clients (I've been to salons that try to do everything quickly and skimp on their service). The only complaint I have is that he was a bit rough while using the buffing block on my nails, and my toe bled a little bit. It's alright though! Hello, I never write reviews but I think this one is well deserved! I had an appointment yesterday at 3:30 and was assisted as soon as possible. This really beautiful nice young lady did my nails. Jenny! She made me feel so comfortable. She sanitized the area right when she was done with her client to assist me next.That was the first time I've ever had her do my nails. She gave me exactly what I wanted! Took her time! She kept conversations with Me. She's really nice and friendly! She's funny too! She made sure my nails were very nice and filed right! I went to VIP nails and spa yesterday for a full set. My technician was Andy. And he was very nice and help me decide on whether to get a fill on my nails or do a full set. He let me know that I had some lifting on my nails and recommended a faucet to avoid any damage to the new nails. I came in wanting a jade marble with gold foil on one nail and A more natural look on the rest of my nails. He showed me some of his previous work and let me decide which to go through with. Every step along the way he made sure that I was satisfied with how they were turning out. They are better than I imagined they would've been! I stay coming to VIP 'cause they ALWAYS take care of me, every single time. No attitude, no rushing, just vibes. My pedicure came out hella clean and smooth like always. I thought they weren't doing the hot towel today and was lowkey sad, but nah--they pulled through like "don't worry girl, we got you." Period. They used gel for the acrylics this time and I ain't even gon' lie... it's holding better than the regular glue. Shiny, sturdy, and cute, just how I like my shit. Very pushy staff for reviews. Very bothersome when I was trying to relax. Great pedicure but lost a customer for the way she went about demanding reviews. The manager stood over me and demanded I give another review even though I already gave one. She even tried time download apps on my phone as she was scrolling to "prove" I didn't give a review even though I do. Very upsetting when I was trying to enjoy the service. This is my favorite spot in Lodi and I've been going to them for 3+ years. Everything looks and feels so fancy. It's so easy to walk-in or book individual/group appointments online. Their service is top notch with friendly staff, complentary drinks, and full service menu. They can do anything you ask to you exact liking. They're so great that they will talk you into upgrading to gel or adding extra services. Paying cash is best but they have an atm inside too or will take cards for a small fee. They have great overall service and their staff is always very helpful and kind. They always offer you something to drink when getting a service as well. I've been getting pedicures here for many years and have always loved the quality of their work. I appreciate that they have many different price levels to choose from as sometimes I want to switch it up. I absolutely enjoyed my experience at VIP Nails & Spa. I received a gel manicure and a gel pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure was "Lisa 2" she was very nice and did exactly what I asked. The man who did my gel manicure was extremely patient. After a couple of mishaps that were made because I'm very particular, he was still extremely friendly and never made me feel as though I was asking too much of him. Vince did my nails today, I got an acrylic gel full set & they turned out amazing. I didn't have an appointment and didn't have a wait time at all! I will definitely be going back to have Vince do my nails again. Also the customer service at the front desk was amazing. They really make sure to take care of their customers! I came for the grand opening and was pleasantly surprised! The place was nice, clean, and beautiful. It's design was very modern yet grand. However, the main star of my visit was my nail technician, Lan. I got my nails painted pink and white and they came out very well. She did amazing and was very friendly. I walked into VIP Nails for the first time today. I asked for a fill and pedi and was checked in right away. I was offered a beverage and got the iced tea and it was so good! The nail tech that took care of me was Lan and she absolutely did a phenomenal job. I asked for a French tip with glitter and she made sure I was satisfied! I've been coming to VIP for a while now, and they always do an amazing job on my toes. The pedicures are clean, gentle, and they pay close attention to detail every time. I had a wonderful experience at VIP nails. The service was amazing! Vince did a beautiful job on my acrylic nails. They look fantastic! Not only is the service great so is the ambiance. I don't think it's fair if you make and appointment and they still tell you to wait 30 minutes or come back and I was early like 15 minutes. So mind you I leave and come back they tell me to have a seat and I see all these other people coming in while I'm waiting and I'm like okay. Then they start taking some of the people into the back like I haven't been there so many times before and been waiting longer than anyone. I came into his shop on my lunch break. I went in to get a specific shape done (pointy stiletto to be a exact), I told him what I wanted and to make it Matte. He removed the remainder of the gel set that was left from the previously set I had on. He filed my nails and buffed them. He moved onto putting the new set of nails on, it was fine. He filed/buffed/shaped them. By this time my lunch break was coming to an end so I told him. He said to come back after work and he'll finish them off. When I came back he barely fixed the rest and started painting them. He then made them shiny. I told him that's not what I asked for, he said he didn't hear me in the beginning. Also he didn't have any matte polish left. Ok fine whatever. I said shiny is fine then, I can't force him to make them matte if he doesn't even have it. Anyhow he finishes the set and at first glance they look ok. I was in a hurry and I left. When I got into my car and at closer inspection I realize how crooked and slanted to the side the nails truly were. The point of my nail should have been centered to the middle of my cuticle - not slanting to the left or right. Not only that, they were not skinny what so ever. I wanted them to be thinner. The only positive thing I can say is they were at least smooth and buffed well. Which he did a good job of. Now I can say from a distance they looked okay. But anyone who looked closer at them told me I shoulda gone somewhere else. I was upset, Vy usually always does a good job. So I thought I could go back in and ask him to file the side to shape them to be skinnier and make the point of my stilettos centered. He wasn't in so I thought to come back the next day after work. When I went in he had stepped out. I was told by his employee to come back later. I figured I'll just come back and talk to him about it. He's usually so nice, he'd take a look and just adjust the nails that weren't to my liking and he'd just fix the nails that were too wide. I get a message from him on Venmo, saying that there was nothing wrong with the nails, they were straight and smooth so he doesn't see an issue. Except there was, hence why I came back. And I told him that they're not centered but the color is fine. I can come in and show him. He didn't even want to take a look at them. I told him I f he doesn't want to take a look at them and doesn't want to fix them, just give me a refund and I can go someplace else. He ended up giving me a refund and sent a green pukey "" emoji attached to refund. Are you serious??? That's unprofessional, and immature and a very sure way to lose a loyal customer. It was not very good customer service on his part, especially considering he's done better. The lady I went to after definitely fixed the problem and she definitely saw the issue with the nails.
