I politely asked whether there could be a price adjustment since the full service would not be rendered, but I was told, "Yeah, no." [[HIGHLIGHT]]The receptionist, Kayla, made it seem as though she had already checked with a higher-up regarding the matter. She was polite throughout the interaction and even acknowledged that she understood my frustration and agreed that the situation did not seem right.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because of that, this review is not necessarily a reflection of Kayla personally, but rather of the management decision and lack of accommodation from whoever she had to answer to, whether that was a supervisor or the owner. Received a nice pampering oxygen facial from Alyssa and truly it was Heaven! This facial had all the bells and whistles along with the use of luxurious tools and serums. Alyssa had such a gentle yet effective touch and even did a deep massage on my hands, arms, chest, shoulders, and back of neck. I was also expecting more targeted reflexology in my feet, as I paid for the addition for both my husband and myself , and it just wasn't it... The room was super small also, so I don't know if that played a part in anything. For $290, I don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon... at the very least, make sure that your masseurs do not have a 7 o'clock shadow on their arms! read more

I am overdue for updating this review! In my first review, I mentioned that my massage therapist was named Samantha. I had her name wrong, and I feel so terrible about it! Her name is Cassandra. I have gone to her a couple of times since, and still highly recommend her! I feel like my massages have been the perfect balance of relaxation and muscle rejuvenation. 3.5 stars Came to Perfect Balance in September for a birthday thing and expected very high services after reviewing Yelp reviews extensively. After the 3 of us got undressed in that well-stocked (robes, rubber slippers, towels, keyed lockers, wet bags too, yay!) but tiny locker/changing room and into robes, we walked the short hall to the hot tub/sauna/sitting area. I was pleased to see the adorable barrel sauna, the hot tub, the homey wooden shower with shampoo and wash provided & the sitting area complete with a TV, & table for gathering and lounging. It looked so cute and homey and the area was all ours, just the 3 of us. I thought with vision this could be a place my group of lady friends can visit regularly in the future. After washing up in that snug but unique rainfall wooden shower, I entered into my favorite and most anticipated part: the hot tub. But, my anticipated moment of excitement turned to disenchantment. The water was lukewarm! I glanced at the # on the pad, it was 90- 95 degrees at best. The past two amazingly relaxing & steamy hot tubs I have enjoyed this same month, the temperature was 104 and that was at Asha Urban Baths in downtown Sac, and Well Within in Santa Cruz. The minimal degrees difference makes a huge difference in relaxation, trust me. To my dismay, sister pointed to something else: the hair and the dirt smudged on the tub. There was some kind of film lining the tub. Yuck! Did they forget to clean it the night before or the morning of? It was only 10am, was the hot tub really that dirty already? I was grossed out & wanted to get out and shower again. I was really contemplating what to do. I didn't want to make a scene plus my friends were in such deep conversation I just waited it out and showered upon exit. The wine barreled sauna was lovely and hot and I really enjoyed the unique round shape. The massage after was just ok. She went way too light even though I asked her to go deeper. The scrub which I was really excited for was odd since they used a glove versus real scrub. I left feeling average, although I wanted and expected so much more due to the high yelp reviews. Had the hot tub and massage been hotter and deeper I would be a repeat customer, but due to the literal gross negligence to the hot tub, and average massage, I won't be back. They utilized the full hour for sure and we all came out of it feeling refreshed, relaxed, and a little sleepy lol. We relaxed in their tranquility room until everyone was finished and then paid for our services. We were able to split payment which was great as well. This spa is located in a nice area with some residential homes. Parking can be hard to find depending on the day you visit. We had a girls day at this spa and we were happy with the spa services, massages and facials we got. There is a salon all within the same facility so it's a nice touch to have beauty services available such as manicure or a deep conditioning after your spa services (they do run by appointments usually). The only reason why I didn't rate 5 stars is because once we paid/tipped, we felt like we were chased out. I get when a facility has appointments scheduled and customers are coming in but in this instance, we were trying to get dressed to leave in a decent manner after our spa services. Using the bathroom on the way out didn't seem like it was sitting well with the staff. I don't know if there was something else going on that we weren't aware of but it definitely left an awkward vibe in the air. read more

My partner has Susan and I had Marisa and they both did wonderful. The right amount of pressure to be therapeutic but also still feel good. They also give you a free bath bomb on your birthday! So we had come to Lodi California for a friend's wedding. And we were staying in this historic neighborhood at this beautiful Air B&B with a group of four other couples. We were told that there was a spa right behind the house, but I had no idea when they said behind the house they meant right in your backyard. But aside from that being the coolest thing in the history of the world, let's talk about the spa experience. I love a spa where you walk through the door, you get hit square in the face with a feeling of Tranquility. This place does that and more. They have such a great and calming waiting room that you almost fall asleep before you even get to your massage. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the place is incredibly appointed, very clean and luxurious. I had a 50-minute massage with Ronica, and she was absolutely, without question, one of the best massage therapist I have ever had! Not only did she know what to do with her hands, but she had some of the firmest massaging I've ever experienced. This is a good thing for me, because I tend to carry all of my stress in my neck shoulders and upper back, and she knew exactly what to do. So many massage therapists that I've had are so light touched that it almost feels like there was a cat that walked across your back rather than getting a Therapeutic Massage. Ronica was amazing! She Not only was a great masseuse, but she was friendly, as talkative as I wanted to be, or as quiet as I wanted to be. She has a sweet, calming nurturing personality that made the massage experience that much better. Honestly, if I could have stayed there all day, or if I could have afforded to stay there all day, I absolutely would have. I cannot recommend her services enough! The cool thing about the spa is that it looks like they had just finished building it the week before. Everything was well-maintained, meticulously up kept, super clean, and very homey and relaxing.
