Belsy and Valeria, have been incredibly communicative and helpful, walking me through every step. The background and employment verification was thorough, which gives me confidence that the company is serious about who they rent to and maintaining a good community. My experience so far has been very positive. I've heard great things about the tenant platform for paying rent and submitting maintenance requests, and I look forward to using it. I've already done my baseline inspection and reported a few minor repairs to Barkley the Maintence Coordinator, and her responsiveness was excellent, with a reply within a day! Just hoping the repairs will occur just as quickly. So far, so good! I'm excited to move into my new home and will be sure to post another honest review once the reported issues have been resolved.

Very impressed with this company and highly recommend.

Baldwin Property Management took over managing our condo complex about a year ago. Our previous HOA…read morehad a history of ignoring requests and communication - our place was a mess - so I'm sure many of us were understandably cautious when Baldwin Property Management stepped in, especially after seeing their Yelp Reviews. However, they've exceeded all my expectations. It's refreshing to finally have an HOA that communicates clearly, responds promptly, and keeps us updated on what's going on. Just to list a few things they've done since taking over: hired new landscapers and cleaners, cleaned a stairwell that hasn't been touched in literally a decade, brought out community gym to the cleanest state in years, fixed our garage doors, put water back into our fountains, turned on the gas to our BBQ grills, and installed security cameras near our mailbox. These sound like basic things but these are the things HOAs should do and from experience and from what I've heard, things that a lot of HOAs neglect. Special thank you to Christi Schaeffler, our community manager who I believe has been largely responsible the improvement in our community.

This is mainly because the manager of the property, Mel, sets the highest standard for what a property manager/landlord should be. He was always readily available if we ever needed to contact him. He was extremely efficient in responding and sending someone out to our unit if we ever needed something fixed, replaced, or looked at. The best thing about Mel is that he cared. He cares about the unit your renting or staying in, of course, be he also made it feel like he cared about us which is an uncommon quality in landlords/managers nowadays. If you ever get the chance to rent a property managed by NorthStar Real Estate Group and Mel, himself, you have to jump at the opportunity. You'll be in great hands.

I am a tenant of Fertig and Gordon of over 5 years. My biggest gripe over the years (that I got…read morefrustrated enough to make a review over) is that if you need help/have a question/concern, the only way to get their attention is with a maintenance request. It's the only thing they seem to pay attention to (and even then it can take over a week for updates). Not every concern is a maintenance issue, and people who pay rent duly every month should have an easier time reaching employees who's job it is to serve their and the property owner's needs. Besides that, people who work normal 9-5 hours are out of luck, because Fertig and Gordon conveniently closes at 4:30 every day (they used to at least go to 5). You can't leave voicemails that they will follow up on and you can't text them anymore (they used to be able to be contacted via text, which I really appreciated). They used to have better people working in the office who have since moved on, and it shows. Service and communication continues to get worse and worse. I have used the emergency line for after hours concerns and only once did I get a follow up for it. I would avoid this property management company and advise you to rent directly from an owner or someone you know for a much better experience.
