I liter live right down the street so decided to give this place a try. I was a month overdue for a pedicure and plus I was going to leave town for a vacation, so it was definitely needed. I would say walking in, I didn't expect this place to be so spacious. It was huge. Lots of spa seatings but I don't think they have enough workers. It was pretty busy foe a Thursday afternoon. I was greeted and taken to a seat in the back. Think I soaked my feet a good 15 mins before someone had came over to start on my pedicure. They offer refreshments so it wasn't too bad. My spa service wasn't bad. Maria did a good job massaging and what not. Super sweet and attentive. Think my only complaint was the nail polish itself. She didn't smooth it out or polish it evenly. You can see some unevenness and not completely smooth. But everything else was perfectly fine. This place is a bit pricier than most places I've been too but not bad. I like it. I truly love Violet Nails & Spa. However, there have been two occasions where I have not been very pleased as a very long time, consistent customer. Today was that day. Yesterday at 11:57AM I called in and scheduled an appointment for today December 14th at 10:00AM. Upon my arrival, the gentleman was quite confused as he asked me what services I needed, what time was my appointment, and who was the appointment with. He then states, "they got your appointment mixed up with someone else." Well sir that's not my problem. So I informed them of this information again, although I had already called and scheduled an appointment in advance. I scheduled a shellac manicure with Theresa and a pedicure with Orlando. Both individuals were with other customers. Theresa does a great job on my nails and that's why I give this place chances. It bothers me that the person who took the information for my appointment did not write the information down. And Sonny, who is usually maintaining the appointment clipboard comes over to me and says "you'll be okay" as he puts his hand on my shoulder. First off don't touch me and second off don't tell me that I'll be okay because I'm voicing my concerns about my experience. That's annoying and unprofessional. So what should have taken about an hour and a half took about 2 hours or so. I frequent this place but I will definitely not be back for a while and may find another place. read more

Mann do not go here ‼ The tools they used were not clean She cut my finger nail while doing my manicure and didn't bother to clean it until I asked And even after she cleaned it it kept bleeding When she finished my manicure she went to go eat And my finger nail was still bleeding bad anyways I also added acrylic on my big toe and she did horrible the acrylic application she put on my toe was so think and it actually made the sides of my toes hurt after two days so I took it off and look the sides of the acrylic where poking my side skin of my toe I'll never ever come here again anywyas I went to JOJOS nail salon and they did me right application on my toe was perfect nothing on the sides and looked so nice DO NOT GO‼‼‼ read more

AND APPARENTLY THE OTHER NAIL TECHS DONT KNOW WHERE HE WENT EITHER Upon arrival, the salon is very clean and pleasing to the eye. like any nail salon, you're greeted with awkward stares. the first time I had services done here, my nails were done by Orlando the nicest nail technician ever. very nice, friendly and tedious. he was very skilled at his job-in a timely matter as well. my second time I had services done by-I believe her name was Helen. Helen was the worst...absolute worst nail tech. she seems very rude, catty, and could care less about the outcome. she seemed to be in a hurry-for lord knows why. I appreciated Orlando service because he actually cares about his clients. if you ever visit violet nails, don't bother with any other techs, go strait for Orlando. he knows what he's doing, enjoys what he's doing, and does well at his job. y'all...the holidays are coming up and i had to come see Orlando. i tried "powder dips?" for the first time and i am amazedddd. he recommended this burnt orange color and i'm in he was so attentive and paid such close attention to detail. will be back to see him for christmas!!! read more

The salon is busy so I recommend making an appointment because you will wait as a walk in. If you have an issue it can and will be QUICKLY resolved by Cathy. I take my daughter, who is 15, approximately every 2 weeks to get her nails done. Her technician, John, is great. The issue I have is that I always make an appointment for her and her time is never honored. We always have to wait at least 30 minutes past her time. I like that someone is always available to do my nails when I'm in a hurry, but today was not a good experience. The girl that did my manicure seemed to be a new girl which is fine but she seemed to lack knowledge of what she needed to do with my nails. She stated to the other technician that they shouldn't get us drinks, give us the bare minimum amount of service since we picked $20 & $22 pedicures, and to hurry so that they can go work on other people that are spending more money. Before we even sat down, she complained that we were taking too long to pick our colors. She had no idea I was Vietnamese and understood everything, until she asked. She also had her coworker finish my pedi so that she could take other customers and he started stating that if he was to "talk shit" to us, he would do so in English. I don't know what kind of salon this is, but it's not going to be around for long if this is their definition of service. In regards to the pedicure itself, it lasted about 15 minutes and the paint job was mediocre. Stay away. read more

I went to violet nails to see Orlando from another yelpers review because her nails look so pretty. It was my first time there and the shop is very spacious and very bright. I was a walk-in and asked for Orlando. He was with another client and i waited no more than 15 min. He greeted me with a smile and i told him i just wanted color-preferably gel. He took a look at my nails and told me how brittle they were with damage from gel polish before. He recommended nail dip-that it was stronger and the removal process is alot easier on the nail. It took him about 30-40 mins for the set. He was so kind and even offered me a drink. Im very pleased with the outcome-ive gotten many compliments. I have been waiting for 1:50 after I was advised it would be an hour wait so I did. And didn't complain after it most definitely exceeded the time. Now iv been here once before months ago and enjoyed it but this time around after the WAIT I left without getting anything done. I'm so pissed rn. They asked me what I wanted which was a full set and I advised them i just wanted the acrylic...so they tell me they can't do it because they are short on staff and don't have the time. 1) why is the my problem 2) I have been waiting like everyone else 3) so you deny me services that they do perform because you don't want to take the time to do them The lady asked me again what did I want to get and i just got up and said nothing ... I don't want to pay for something I don't want. Which was really hard at the moment because i really wanted them done. I rarely do anything for myself as it is age I've been really stressed out. They have no idea how something they do on a daily would have done for me.... it would have just made my day hell month.
