Been going here for the last 15 years. Great customer service, good prices and great nails.

Acrylic manicure and pedicure. Good job, friendly and efficient. Average price for area and knowledgeable to know why dip was not working correctly. Came to them after 10 yrs at another salon who's service has plummeted read more

I have gotten my nails done a few times and it was a good experience. After leaving this review I will probably need to find a new nail salon and I'm ok with that. I got my lashes done there and it was a terrible experience The lady attempted to tape my lashes down then decided I didn't need them taped. That should have been my first clue. She kept pressing under my eyes and pulling my eyes open she said to make sure I was not sticking. It hurt it was awful. She took about 20 minutes total to do my lashes. They werent the shape I asked for but they looked ok and I was ready to go. This was Saturday today is Tuesday and I have already removed them. She glued the lashes to my whole lash. When I removed them I found that they were not clusters at all. It was lash strips cut into sections that she glued to my eyelid, lashes, and lash line. AWFUL experience I do not recommend!! I hate when I pay good money for a service and the technician is just trying to make a quick buck, cutting corners and trying to do the least work possible. Now I am out time and money as a result of an unprofessional tech. read more

First time there, my experience was great. I was seen right away. All the staff was really friendly. The inside was clean and organized. My pedicure turned out good. My mom got a fill on her manicure and she thought it turned of good also. Prices are good compared to other places We will be going back. read more

I liter live right down the street so decided to give this place a try. I was a month overdue for a pedicure and plus I was going to leave town for a vacation, so it was definitely needed. I would say walking in, I didn't expect this place to be so spacious. It was huge. Lots of spa seatings but I don't think they have enough workers. It was pretty busy foe a Thursday afternoon. I was greeted and taken to a seat in the back. Think I soaked my feet a good 15 mins before someone had came over to start on my pedicure. They offer refreshments so it wasn't too bad. My spa service wasn't bad. Maria did a good job massaging and what not. Super sweet and attentive. Think my only complaint was the nail polish itself. She didn't smooth it out or polish it evenly. You can see some unevenness and not completely smooth. But everything else was perfectly fine. This place is a bit pricier than most places I've been too but not bad. I like it. Maybe I'll go back whenever I'm in need. read more

I truly love Violet Nails & Spa. However, there have been two occasions where I have not been very pleased as a very long time, consistent customer. Today was that day. Yesterday at 11:57AM I called in and scheduled an appointment for today December 14th at 10:00AM. Upon my arrival, the gentleman was quite confused as he asked me what services I needed, what time was my appointment, and who was the appointment with. He then states, "they got your appointment mixed up with someone else." Well sir that's not my problem. So I informed them of this information again, although I had already called and scheduled an appointment in advance. I scheduled a shellac manicure with Theresa and a pedicure with Orlando. Both individuals were with other customers. Theresa does a great job on my nails and that's why I give this place chances. It bothers me that the person who took the information for my appointment did not write the information down. And Sonny, who is usually maintaining the appointment clipboard comes over to me and says "you'll be okay" as he puts his hand on my shoulder. First off don't touch me and second off don't tell me that I'll be okay because I'm voicing my concerns about my experience. That's annoying and unprofessional. So what should have taken about an hour and a half took about 2 hours or so. I frequent this place but I will definitely not be back for a while and may find another place. read more

They were fast and did a good job I am in town visiting and my daughter recommended them.

UPDATE: ORLANDO NO LONGER WORKS HERE. AND APPARENTLY THE OTHER NAIL TECHS DONT KNOW WHERE HE WENT EITHER Upon arrival, the salon is very clean and pleasing to the eye. like any nail salon, you're greeted with awkward stares. the first time I had services done here, my nails were done by Orlando the nicest nail technician ever. very nice, friendly and tedious. he was very skilled at his job-in a timely matter as well. my second time I had services done by-I believe her name was Helen. Helen was the worst...absolute worst nail tech. she seems very rude, catty, and could care less about the outcome. she seemed to be in a hurry-for lord knows why. I appreciated Orlando service because he actually cares about his clients. if you ever visit violet nails, don't bother with any other techs, go strait for Orlando. he knows what he's doing, enjoys what he's doing, and does well at his job. y'all...the holidays are coming up and i had to come see Orlando. i tried "powder dips?" for the first time and i am amazedddd. he recommended this burnt orange color and i'm in he was so attentive and paid such close attention to detail. will be back to see him for christmas!!! read more

EVERY time we come with an appoint made, the tech is busy with another customer. We are always on time or a few minutes early. They don't apologize, just make the excuse that they are running behind and tell us to come back later. Very unprofessional. read more

I have been going here for a few years! Maria has been my pedicure specialist for over 2 years and she is absolutely amazing, pays attention to every detail! Recently I have had the pleasure of having Cindy as my nail tech....the first time she did my nails I received compliments from everyone! Today I informed her I was taking my kids to Disney World tomorrow for spring break and she definitely exceeded my expectations! My Mother and I absolutely love Cathy (Owner) and her salon! We have been coming here since she opened. The nail technicians are thorough, personable and seek perfection when providing your service. The salon is busy so I recommend making an appointment because you will wait as a walk in. If you have an issue it can and will be QUICKLY resolved by Cathy. I'm excited to say that I have watched her business grow and couldn't be happier for her. Only salon I've been to where I can say I've actually seen her interview nail technicians. Hands down Violet Nails is a 5 Star establishment. read more

Got white nails but they ended up having a pink residue from the sns dip base coat that was used. The first guy took 23 to put my tips on!! to where the owner had to take care of my nails. the shaping is also off as well. smh ‍... I see why i didnt come back to here for awhile ! read more

I've been numerous times and only when I can't make it to my regular nail shop across town. Never had a bad experience although I have seen others have a bad experience in front of me. I had a pedicure and a refill done and both ladies who helped me were good and efficient. read more

I take my daughter, who is 15, approximately every 2 weeks to get her nails done. Her technician, John, is great. The issue I have is that I always make an appointment for her and her time is never honored. We always have to wait at least 30 minutes past her time. I find it very unprofessional and don't understand the point of making an appointment if it's not going to be honored. read more

I love John. My daughter introduced me to him and he did NOT DISAPPOINT! I made a few more appointments with him. So there's this one women I always go to she wasn't here today. The first picture with the glitter was with her for only 25$. (awhile back) TODAY, I came in the front desk lady did not do her job correctly and I called beforehand about pricing etc. etc. AND ALSO. To confirm The price BEFORE I SAT DOWN. The front desk lady did not inform the guy other customers were waiting etc etc. Vietnamese is my 2nd main language. Ended up with 30$+ Tip which is not bad and the guy was NICE(techni). Another customer was giving service to another technician in which, I denied service too do my nail. SHE gave me a stank look. While working on the another customer I notice when she was about to get off the chair she accidentally sprayed the water on, and while giving the customer shoes back she dropped it too fast on the floor and didn't even say sorry. Both me and the lady looks at each other like... . Was a regular customer but nvm. I went with my sister cause I referred her to the place. WE BOTh came out saying bad service. WASNT EVEN BUSY TODAY. They close early on Sunday.......... read more

Likes: nail polish color, cheap prices Dislikes: waiting period, my pedicure wasn't all that great (basically seemed like a polish change, no difference in my actual feet), all the workers yelled back and forth amongst themselves in their language majority of the time (the looks on the customers' faces said it all). Not worth a cheaper price, I would rather pay more for quality service. read more

I like that someone is always available to do my nails when I'm in a hurry, but today was not a good experience. The girl that did my manicure seemed to be a new girl which is fine but she seemed to lack knowledge of what she needed to do with my nails. The lady that did my feet half assed my pedicure and left many times throughout my whole time in the chair. And towards the end did not come back to finish the rest of the job. And I then proceeded to pay 80 for half ass work. Will not be returning. read more

Pedicure was really good, Maria did really good job. But other lady was doing manicure twice and its terrible. I think two year old kid would do it better. I showed the lady when i was paying what bad job i had on my hands and she told me i did. My mani is literally fucked up. read more

I only come here when I'm desperate and today was horrible . I asked for coffin shaped nails and apparently it's 5$ extra. They made me pay BEFORE my nails were even done and I didn't even get my coffin shape. Instead the lady tried horribly to create the shape but still ended up doin a square shape which I absolutely hate. Please avoid this place at all cost it's not worth the 45$ I spent read more

I went to violet nails to see Orlando from another yelpers review because her nails look so pretty. It was my first time there and the shop is very spacious and very bright. I was a walk-in and asked for Orlando. He was with another client and i waited no more than 15 min. He greeted me with a smile and i told him i just wanted color-preferably gel. He took a look at my nails and told me how brittle they were with damage from gel polish before. He recommended nail dip-that it was stronger and the removal process is alot easier on the nail. It took him about 30-40 mins for the set. He was so kind and even offered me a drink. Im very pleased with the outcome-ive gotten many compliments. This may be my regular spot and Orlando may as well be my go-to guy! read more

Take your business elsewhere. My technician (picture attached) blatantly talked bad about my friend and I when we went in to get pedicures. She stated to the other technician that they shouldn't get us drinks, give us the bare minimum amount of service since we picked $20 & $22 pedicures, and to hurry so that they can go work on other people that are spending more money. Before we even sat down, she complained that we were taking too long to pick our colors. She had no idea I was Vietnamese and understood everything, until she asked. She also had her coworker finish my pedi so that she could take other customers and he started stating that if he was to "talk shit" to us, he would do so in English. I don't know what kind of salon this is, but it's not going to be around for long if this is their definition of service. In regards to the pedicure itself, it lasted about 15 minutes and the paint job was mediocre. Stay away. read more

This is my second time going to this nail salon. I just love it and have found an awesome new nail tech!!!! Her name is Cindy she can do it all even designs. So, if your looking for a great nail tech in the Katy area try her out. You won't b sorry!! 5 STARS Carolyn read more

I have been waiting for 1:50 after I was advised it would be an hour wait so I did. And didn't complain after it most definitely exceeded the time. Now iv been here once before months ago and enjoyed it but this time around after the WAIT I left without getting anything done. I'm so pissed rn. They asked me what I wanted which was a full set and I advised them i just wanted the acrylic...so they tell me they can't do it because they are short on staff and don't have the time. 1) why is the my problem 2) I have been waiting like everyone else 3) so you deny me services that they do perform because you don't want to take the time to do them The lady asked me again what did I want to get and i just got up and said nothing ... I don't want to pay for something I don't want. Which was really hard at the moment because i really wanted them done. I rarely do anything for myself as it is age I've been really stressed out. They have no idea how something they do on a daily would have done for me.... it would have just made my day hell month. I live near by and have also recommended them but (NO MORE will I) and WONT BE GOING BACK !!!! read more
