Took in our horse trailer after the dust cap on one of the axles fell off and the wheel developed noticeable play. We were told we could drop it off over the weekend to get service the following Monday. Left them with bearings and axles seals just in case something looked bad once they got working on it. We were helped by Noah at drop off and pick up and he was very pleasant and kind. Helped us get checked in, inspected the trailer with us and asked for our concerns, and helped us get it unhitched. At pickup we were helped by Tom who took time to give us tips on hauling the trailer and answered more questions about maintenance of the trailer. He was also nice enough to adjust the pins in our trailer and truck connecter so the brake controller could read the connection. Super nice and helpful and they did an amazing job with the bearings. Even painted the hub and dust caps black in a nice coating making everything look nice! Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to everyone! read more

I received rude service from another place that sells camper shell parts, and decided to come to Vintage Transport. It was out of my way, but so worth the effort. All the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I got calls regarding status updates for the parts that were ordered for my camper shell. I was able to install two of the locks myself, but I had no idea where to start for the last one. So they were able to schedule me in and get it installed for a very reasonable price. These people saved my vacation. We were going on a camping trip in my very old pop up camper and the door flew open and spilled out the part that raises the tent. I was devastated. My husband called around for a place that was on my way to the camp site and found this wonderful place. By the time I had arrived, they had already pulled a few selections and none of them were perfect, but that didn't stop them. They actually manufactured a part from what they had on hand that worked and my vacation was saved. I cannot say enough about this place and the customer service I experienced. We like to shop local but this place leaves a lot to be desired. The owner is really not that friendly and it seems like you are really inconveniencing her when you ask questions about products you are in need of. Topping on the cake is we had a brake control installed and whomever installed from their company put it right where your right leg goes to push the gas ( see photo I uploaded). Plenty of room to put in over about 6 inches. Now we get it move it ourselves and leave behind a nice set of holes on the dash. Wow! My boat trailer needed a complete brake, bearing, and caliper replacement. My current mechanic quoted $1300 - $1500 for parts and labor. Took the trailer to Vintage who at first tried to replace just the damaged parts but ended up ordering the entire unit as that was a more cost effective way to go and ensured a much safer braking system in preparation for a long trip to Flaming Gorge. Not only was this the best decision but their final charges were more than 50% less than my initial quote. Great pricing and very good communication as the repairs progressed. Made appointment a week in advance to have my boat trailer suge brakes fixed, dropped it off at 8:00 am returned at 4:00 pm trailer had not been touched! Very disappointed what a waste of my time! I purchased a set of bed rail caps for my Chevy truck.going to vintage transport was a huge mistake.the figment around the stake holes is approximately 1/4 in from covering up the top of my truck bed to a point where I cannot install any tie down anchors that will fit correctly. The store looks like a tornado hit it inside. Twice I was promised a follow up call concerning other issues with no success . I am extremely disappointed . The help looks like they are over worked and under paid. I would absolutely never make another purchase again from this establishment.they are horrible.one star at best. read more

I own" have dump trailer will travel"vintage transport has worked on all my trailers my flatbed,2 dump trailers and and my utility trailers and as far as i'm concerned I wouldn't let anybody else work on my trailers they do all aspects of working on any trailer big or small. they have great welders,and can find electrical shorts fast. and what i like they are so accommodating no matter how busy they are. and they stock anything it takes to repair any trailer I love walking through there store there is so many options for any trailer. read more

I have ordered stuff here in the past and been extremely happy but recently I have been unsatisfied. I called 3 times and left a message for a quote and it took a week to get a call back. I wanted to order a 5th wheel goose neck hitch and more from them but I got a quote for 2400$ from them when www.etrailer.com wanted 1250$. I like shopping local but a 100% markup is ridiculous. I live right by this place but I am not gonna pay that kind of premium to support local businesses. Thompson GMC just pulled the same kind of stunt last week and I skipped them too and drove out of the county to buy the exact same vehicle for a considerable amount less. I have lived here my whole life and I wouldn't mind paying extra money to support local companies but I think they are starting to prey on that fact. Now between Thompsons and Vintage, Placerville/El Dorado County has missed out on a lot of sales tax to support the community.
