Today, I brought my "new" 1965 L79 Corvette fastback to my old friends Greg and Seth at Casper's for new mufflers and to repair several exhaust leaks resulting from a frame-off restoration recently done to this car before we bought it. In typical Casper's fashion, the new Borla mufflers (smaller, lighter and better breathing than the stock cans) were the right choice. The entire project was handled professionally, competently and beautifully. Seth is a perfectionist; every custom pipe bend, every custom weld, every measurement precisely made and executed. I took my 2007 Chevy Avalanche in for a catalytic converter replacement estimate. The truck had been running on 7 cylinders for several thousand miles and I just had an engine rebuild. I suspected that the bank-1 cat had simply been burned up. had already used my high-end scan tool to test the 02 sensors to ensure that they were not the issue. I went to Casper's to get a quote on a single cat replacement, and it was within $300 of the dealer cost for factory bolt-in replacement. They agreed that getting the dealer part and bolting it in myself was the best option. These guys are straight-shooters. read more

We took our GMC Terrains catalytic converter replaced in December of 2022 which they stated they did picked up the once they said it was done immediately had a bad smell of exhaust coming into cab of vehicle, brought back for them to recheck they immediately stated that everything they did was correct and there had to be something mechanical with the engine. After getting the vehicle back a second time the exhaust smell was gone. Now in November of 2023 check engine light came back on took it back left it all day for them to recheck the catalytic converter because the code was p0420 and again was told it must be something wrong with the engine. Finally took the vehicle to get looked at another auto shop and was told everything looks good in the engine and the only thing wrong was the work Casper's had done or not done. Was informed by shop Casper's did not in fact replaced the cat as we paid for just put a spacer in called Greg and informed him of the other shops finding and was greeted with hostility told can't do anything unless had a receipt knowing California law they have to keep a copy as well. I am so grateful for Greg as every time I need help with a trailer hitch and or questions, he always is so willing to give me advice and help. Just the other day he helped me and my girlfriend with my boat trailer as pulling the boat with her vehicle was causing trailer sway. He found the correct hitch/ball mount out of several I pulled my from garage and put it on our vehicle, which solved our problem. talked to them about getting a car back installed on my car, it was all set to go and they did the job. it sounded good and was a good price around $600. When I later had to get under my car to do the oil change I noticed they only welded some mufflers on to make it sound better. Wouldn't work with me to solve the problem would not recommend this shop. read more

Called Casper's a week prior to today to set an appointment and make sure they had the correct part on order so they would be ready. With a steady part time job and day to day responsibilities we planned our day around the scheduled appointment. Casper's continued to wait 30 min before my appointment to notify me that they have the wrong part and they vehicle will need to sit at the shop until the following day then it will be fixed. I am disappointed in the timing. Was the order double checked before sending out? Why did they get the wrong order? Will they reduce the pricing? Although they are getting the job done I would appreciate a thorough and specific time and date for an appointment and correct times so it does not interfere with other plans. read more

Had an O2 sensor bung replaced. Did a great job, had it done very quickly and at a great price. Would highly recommend.

When I went into Casper's for what we thought would be a minor repair of the exhaust and then do a cat back modification on the exhaust system. However, upon further investigation the repairs would be considerably more extensive, so we had to sideline the plan for modifications for now. I am happy to report the repairs went well and my truck sounds like it did when I first bought it and the check engine light has not been triggered because of erroneous o2 sensor fails. Overall I was pleased with the net result and the speedy service and yes, we are still going to do the mods. read more
