Great muffler shop! They were able to get me an appointment within a couple days and helped me out by letting me leave my truck with them overnight. Above and beyond customer service. Excellent fabrication work. I had to poke my head under to see how the custom muffler turned out and it looked great! Clean welds, ran cleanly and the tips look amazing. I would highly recommend this shop, best in the area no doubt. read more

Casper's Muffler And Hitch Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Placerville, California

Had and have always had great experiences with this shop. Took my Rav4 in for a hitch install and it was done and I was out in a little more than an hour and that was with putting in the electrical! The unfortunate part was that I didn't want the electrical. :/ But! They did not charge me as there was a mix up with paperwork and I came away with paying my original quote. They rock! Nice work, great people. Thank you. read more

Casper's Muffler and Hitch went above and beyond with everything! What a great experience! I walked in and was greeted right away. They immediately addressed my problem, after asking some identifying questions. I have an infinite g35 and was told that what I'd originally thought was the problem was likely not because they rarely have problems with the cats. They ran some tests and gave me a couple of possible solutions. I will be using them for future business and will be telling every one of my experiences. Thank you again! read more

Took my wife's Ford Ecoboost to get some better sound... The Borla they recommended and getting rid of the Resonator was the Perfect solution. We even added a "Heart" shaped exhaust pipe... Price was great, service was great... Thanks guys read more

Brought my husband's truck to them to hopefully fix an electrical issue that nobody else (no dealership or independent mechanic) could fix and they figured it out! Not to mention, they fixed it for a fair price. Honest and trustworthy. Now he has a working brake controller and trailer brake lights and blinkers. Highly recommend checking them out! read more

Today, I brought my "new" 1965 L79 Corvette fastback to my old friends Greg and Seth at Casper's for new mufflers and to repair several exhaust leaks resulting from a frame-off restoration recently done to this car before we bought it. In typical Casper's fashion, the new Borla mufflers (smaller, lighter and better breathing than the stock cans) were the right choice. The entire project was handled professionally, competently and beautifully. Seth is a perfectionist; every custom pipe bend, every custom weld, every measurement precisely made and executed. He is truly an artist. This classic sports car went from sounding like a tractor to sounding like the 327 small block V8 it is. Once again, Casper's made me a very happy camper, and most importantly, my bride LOVES it! Casper's does a fantastic job replacing a blown out stock muffler or installing a trailer hitch on your truck, but if you have a high performance car that needs some special hot rodder love, bring it to Casper's. They ROCK! read more

Greg and his crew were terrific! Very professional and caring about their customer's and their workmanship! I had an electrical issue following the install of a front tow hitch on our Jeep. Greg stated that "if the issue was caused by their work they would make it right." After the remedy was found I brought the documentation to Greg after his deep apology he refunded the corrective work for the repair. I have grown up in the business world and realized early on customer service and making things right is very important to us. We are a customer for life! Christian and Laurel B. read more

I took my 2007 Chevy Avalanche in for a catalytic converter replacement estimate. The truck had been running on 7 cylinders for several thousand miles and I just had an engine rebuild. I suspected that the bank-1 cat had simply been burned up. had already used my high-end scan tool to test the 02 sensors to ensure that they were not the issue. I went to Casper's to get a quote on a single cat replacement, and it was within $300 of the dealer cost for factory bolt-in replacement. They agreed that getting the dealer part and bolting it in myself was the best option. These guys are straight-shooters. read more

They were very professional and kind and on time, I have had them work on a couple of my vehicles and they have been dependable and accommodating. Very accommodating in an emergency, excellent job with my camper ties and fixed my muffler

We took our GMC Terrains catalytic converter replaced in December of 2022 which they stated they did picked up the once they said it was done immediately had a bad smell of exhaust coming into cab of vehicle, brought back for them to recheck they immediately stated that everything they did was correct and there had to be something mechanical with the engine. After getting the vehicle back a second time the exhaust smell was gone. Now in November of 2023 check engine light came back on took it back left it all day for them to recheck the catalytic converter because the code was p0420 and again was told it must be something wrong with the engine. Finally took the vehicle to get looked at another auto shop and was told everything looks good in the engine and the only thing wrong was the work Casper's had done or not done. Was informed by shop Casper's did not in fact replaced the cat as we paid for just put a spacer in called Greg and informed him of the other shops finding and was greeted with hostility told can't do anything unless had a receipt knowing California law they have to keep a copy as well. Guess Casper's needs money that bad they are willing to take it anyway possible be careful read more

Greg at Casper's is the best. Casper's had installed the hitch on my 2020 Subaru Outback and did a fantastic job. The hitch looks like it came with the car. I am so grateful for Greg as every time I need help with a trailer hitch and or questions, he always is so willing to give me advice and help. Just the other day he helped me and my girlfriend with my boat trailer as pulling the boat with her vehicle was causing trailer sway. He found the correct hitch/ball mount out of several I pulled my from garage and put it on our vehicle, which solved our problem. Greg was also kind enough to inflat my trailer tires to the correct pressure specifications. Thanks so so much for helping two girls with their boat as we sure needed it and I am so grateful. read more

I would like to say thank you to Casper's Muffler and Hitch Service for their HONESTY!!! My son came in to get an x-pipe welded on only to find out he already had an X-pipe in from the previous owner. My son 18 years old and his first car he paid for is his baby( 2014 Mustang ) my son could have been easy prey for some and I want to thank Casper's so much for being honest, despite them making a profit, and they took time to give referrals and ideas for his vehicle in the future. Thank you we will be back :) read more

This is a six star establishment. I can,t say enough good. Free estimates, even complicated ones, free, for me anyway, emergancy fix up, a reliable appointment and a lot more. Great service, great price, nice people. Greg, the owner, is the best car related mechanic, I've encountered in my whole freaking life, and I'm 75 yo. I'm recommending this shop to everyone I know, even those who have no cars. read more

talked to them about getting a car back installed on my car, it was all set to go and they did the job. it sounded good and was a good price around $600. When I later had to get under my car to do the oil change I noticed they only welded some mufflers on to make it sound better. Wouldn't work with me to solve the problem would not recommend this shop. read more

Will never go here again. Worst experience ever. Walked in, he was with a customer so I waited (the door bell rang and I know he heard it since he looked at the door). Had me wait for at least 5 minutes, no acknowledgement at all. Finally I walked outside to see if he would even look at me and talk. Ignored again.... Then another person drives up, parks the car and he switches instantly to him and starts chatting with how he can help. WTH? Really... Is this how a business operates? Lack of customer service is clear here. After 10 minutes of being there, I called Muffler Tech and gave my business to them. If you want to be treated like crap, by all means go here, you won't be disappointed. If you want to be treated with respect and a valuable customer, go ANYWHERE but here. read more

Called Casper's a week prior to today to set an appointment and make sure they had the correct part on order so they would be ready. With a steady part time job and day to day responsibilities we planned our day around the scheduled appointment. Casper's continued to wait 30 min before my appointment to notify me that they have the wrong part and they vehicle will need to sit at the shop until the following day then it will be fixed. I am disappointed in the timing. Was the order double checked before sending out? Why did they get the wrong order? Will they reduce the pricing? Although they are getting the job done I would appreciate a thorough and specific time and date for an appointment and correct times so it does not interfere with other plans. read more

Had an O2 sensor bung replaced. Did a great job, had it done very quickly and at a great price. Would highly recommend.

When I went into Casper's for what we thought would be a minor repair of the exhaust and then do a cat back modification on the exhaust system. However, upon further investigation the repairs would be considerably more extensive, so we had to sideline the plan for modifications for now. I am happy to report the repairs went well and my truck sounds like it did when I first bought it and the check engine light has not been triggered because of erroneous o2 sensor fails. Overall I was pleased with the net result and the speedy service and yes, we are still going to do the mods. read more

Steve and his guys did an awesome job helping me with my '93 Silverado Dually. My truck is in excellent condition and they returned it that way. He ordered a gooseneck hitch the day I called and had it installed in less than 24 hours after I left my truck with them. He was very friendly and didn't mind explaining things, answering my questions, or addressing my concerns. I'm very happy with the work they did at a low price, and even saved me some money on wiring that already existed and didn't need to be replaced. Thank you Steve and Team! I will refer friends and return for any more work I might need on hitches and mufflers! read more
