Cannot recommend this auto shop enough. My wife took her Ford Edge here for a stuck trunk and to have the belts etc checked as part of a service. They fixed the stuck trunk within the day and stated the belts and other parts were fine until a future service. I also brought my vehicle here with ABS and other lights showing on the dash. They got me in the next day despite being busy, and warned it could be a drum and pads change for a few hundred $. When I picked it up, it was a realignment and tighten, with an oil change, for not even $150 all in. Absolutely incredible service all around. It's a relief to have a reliable and honest mechanic so we will always bring our vehicles here from now on, and will encourage everybody we know to do the same. Great place. read more

Replaced my water pump had it back the next day holy smokes that is impressive in a smallish town area where long waits are usually standard. We originally went somewhere else got charged for the diagnosis and belt removal and replacement only to find out they don't do water pumps which was a serious bummer. Found out the other place closer to us got bought out by Big Corporate. We're going to call JR next time. Looking for an honest, trustworthy mechanic? Read on. Coming back from a long trip, my 2005 GMC Sierra check engine light came on. It had two codes, one for the torque converter, and one for the mass air flow sensor. I called Jr's to set up an appointment. Over the phone, I was told that the mass air flow sensor could be causing the torque converter code and advised me to simply clean the mass air flow sensor. I did and it worked. No more codes. They could have simply let me come in, done some "troubleshooting," and charged me to "fix" the torque converter. But, they didn't. They gave me free advice on how to fix it myself and saved me a ton of money. These guys put in a transmission for me at 200K miles and I was happy with them then. Today? I'm even happier. I'd recommend them to anyone who had any issue with their vehicle. read more

I had a crack in each of the two exhaust manifolds and i had some wheel noise that others claimed it was a bearing. Dustin lift the truck and used a stethoscope and found out that the noise was coming from a differential and bearings were fine. He replaced the manifolds, differential and he called out a belt squeak, which i new about, so he replaced that as well. My truck now feels and sounds like new. Overall service and cost were great. I took my Mercedes-Benz to jrs automotive, I spoke with Dustin about changing one of my 4 catalytic converters . I ended up having then replace the rear 2. The price was really really good, Tim welded them in while I waited there. I inspected the welds and they looked sweet. While I was there a lady came in and spoke to Dustin about some work she needed done. I was listening in, he gave her great pricing. We were visiting the Placerville area, having pulled our travel trailer up. The "Check Engine" light went on in the truck, and not knowing if it would affect the ability to tow the trailer home, we stopped at the local GMC dealership for help. The service manager there refused to help us, so we frantically called around for help. Even though JR's was closed for the day, they offered to have us come by and they would run a diagnostic to find out what the error code was. As a courtesy, they scanned all 11 modules and discovered it was a Glow Plug and assured us it was safe to drive and tow the trailer home and took the time to give us some additional information and helpful hint as to how to replace it. If we lived closer to the Placerville area, JRs automotive is where we would service our vehicles. read more

The next day, my husband got a call from Dustin who quoted us $105 for a sensor replacement. In addition, I contacted him last minute for an oil change . So glad to find an honest mechanic in town.
