Received a watch for graduation and stopped by the only place I knew from my past, Vintage Time. They did not disappoint. I did not get his name, but extremely nice gentlemen in shirt and coat examined my watch and explained the dual screw links and that it would take some time. Instead of making me come back as I was headed to Livermore, he expertly measured my wrist, removed the proper number of links, and had me back on my way in less than 30 minutes. He explained that it was a complicated job and apologized for the delay. He said he made others wait to be sure I had my grad gift ready to wear. It fits EXACTLY the way the manufacturer recommended with slight play. I loved the service. I only needed the watch band adjusted but the customer service this time was as great as it was years and yeats ago when I bought a Swiss Army watch from them. I will never go anywhere else. PS...I had no idea Vintage Faire mall was as nice as it is today. I though covid decimated it and I was glad to be wrong. It was unbelievably nice and a great variety of stores and food options. I needed a minor watch repair, and there weren't too many options here in Modesto. I have seen this shop before in the mall and had a battery replaced a time or two with them. And so I did give them a call to see if they could replace the missing pin on a sports watch strap. He told me they probably could but to bring it in. And so I came by and although he was busy with another client asked me to drop the watch off. I also had an issue with another similar watch where one of the buttons wasn't working. Long story short, I gave him about 30 minutes while I did some shopping in the mall and came back and was pleasantly surprised with both watches, fully functional! Young man was skilled in his work, a good communicator, and made the transaction easy. I would recommend this shop for minor watch repairs and battery replacements. Went in for a simple battery change. Was quoted $30, usually I pay close to $10. I can understand inflation but not to this degree. I got the battery installed since I was in a rush, walked out and asked at a watch battery booth a few steps down just for my information, was quoted $15 for the same watch. The older place upstairs that closed was much more trustworthy. Be ready to be fleeced here with fast talking sales tactics. read more

Do not go here to resize a ring. I brought in a very lovely 14ct rose gold plated wedding ring, and after getting it resized 2 sizes, come to find that the rings rose gold plating, which at 14 carats would not just rub off, is missing from the bottom half of the ring, the middle crystal around the diamond is gone, and the rose gold on the top half of the ring around the smaller diamonds has turned a gross yellow. This all happens after we are quoted on a $30 ring resizement then get told when we bring the ring it it'll be $60 instead. Will update after we take it in to get it replaced as it is obviously damaged, but the experience alone has ruined any small reputation this up and coming business had with me. read more
