I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service I received at Roger's Jewelers in Modesto, CA, on March 28th. As a loyal customer who frequently shops at your Elk Grove location, I was extremely disappointed by the treatment I received at the Modesto branch. I own several Tag Heuer watches, including the Connected E4 smartwatch, and was experiencing issues connecting it to my new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Given my positive experiences at the Elk Grove location, I decided to seek assistance at the Modesto store while I was in town for an oncology appointment. Upon entering the store, a salesperson approached me and asked what I needed. I explained my issue, and she informed me that she was unfamiliar with smartwatches as they are not sold at this location. However, she mentioned that her manager, who had worked at other locations, might be able to assist me. She went to speak with the manager and returned, stating that he would help me once he finished his phone call. While waiting, my wife and I decided to browse the store. Another salesperson asked if we were interested in purchasing a Tag Heuer watch, and I explained that we were waiting for the manager to help troubleshoot my watch. We continued browsing, as I was secretly looking for a gift for my wife for our 34th wedding anniversary on April 5th. The manager completed his phone call and walked right past us to assist another shopper without acknowledging us. Common courtesy would have been to explain that he was currently working with another client and would be with us shortly, but he did not even make eye contact. After helping his client, the salesperson reiterated our request for assistance. The manager responded loudly enough for us to hear, without facing us, that he did not know how to troubleshoot the watch as they do not carry smartwatches at this location. The manager should have taken the time to explain his unfamiliarity with Tag Heuer smartwatches and offered a solution, such as contacting customer support. Instead, my wife and I felt ignored and unimportant. We stopped browsing and left the store without any acknowledgment from the staff. This experience has left me feeling disgruntled and questioning whether I will continue to shop at Roger's Jewelers. I was immediately greeted by Kenzy who was friendly, knowledgeable and so patient. As we started we knew we needed more hands so Amanda quickly stepped in to give her helping hand and expert advice. We went in to have a battery replaced in my watch and ended up with a beautiful Two Hearts Collection diamond engagement ring to replace my wedding ring. In October, Todd helped us add to the ring. He helped us pair two beautiful diamond bands with the engagement ring to complete the set. It's such a special piece now complete with an engagement ring, wedding band and anniversary band. Its stunning! Fast forward to yesterday March 16th. Todd invited us to a special event happening at the store. March is my birthday month and I had been eyeing an aquamarine ring. The special event was insane. One of the biggest collections of jewelry I have ever seen in one place. Fantastic pricing too. A bit overwhelming. I ultimately decided that I still really wanted the aquamarine ring and diamond Todd has showed us previously. He gave us the friends and family pricing and it was a GREAT deal. The customer is great. The entire store runs well. From sales to finance everyone seems to be working together. I pop in when I am in the area and they clean my rings and check them over without hesitation. I can't see buying jewelry anywhere else. My family has gone to this jeweler for years. I thought, why not take a necklace that broke in two places to be repaired? I trusted the reputation and long family history of buying jewelry. I thought why not. WELL, I had them add Gold to strengthen the existing gold. The gold is a discolor and looks like shoddy work. I had them put an o'ring from the rope to the lobster clasp. Yea, that work is terrible due to the soldering tool. Also, the necklace didn't look like the work was clean and up to par. I will not be back. Very disappointed. read more

We were immediately greeted by the "upselling" tactics and were unfortunate enough to encounter an employee that was not only condescending, but flat out disrespectful. At one point she referred to my husband and "the husband". Hate to break it to you lady, but "the husband" would have been the one paying for the chain you tried to upsell us. This all started with a challenge. Seiko released a limited to 2500 pieces, Presage watch about one year ago. I knew it would be tough to find in the area, given as it is a worldwide release. I called several certified Seiko retailers in the area of Sacramento and alas, could not find it and the jewelers couldn't get it from Seiko directly. Deciding to take another go at potentially finding one in the area, I find Rogers store as a retailer for them. One call led to speaking with Todd in Modesto. From inquiry, to the store acquiring the piece from their Bakersfield location, and to holding it "in the back" for me till I got there and not selling it prior to me being able to see it; it was nothing short of excellent customer service from Todd. Getting a new time price is great, having exceptional customer service leading up to the purchase is even better. "Diamonds are a girl's best friend!" Marilyn was definitely on to something. Like most women, I am drawn to shiny, sparkly things, especially jewels. Diamonds are at the top of my list in terms of desirability. I think we are hardwired for this attraction. It is futile to resist. Now granted, my jewelry stores of choice include Tiffany, Cartier and Harry Winston, oh my! Unfortunately, none of these pleasure palaces are found in Modesto. *sniff!* Fortunately there are other choices where you can get your fine jewelry fix in Modesto, including Rogers Jewelers. I gave Rogers 4 stars because of the diamonds. I mean, I just can't rate anything that has to do with diamonds less than 4 stars. That would be wrong! This new Rogers location is considered a "superstore". The interior is quite spacious and sleek. There is even a room for children with child-friendly activities so the parents can shop for gems in peace. The best thing about that room is that you can start your child's appreciation for jewels at a young age! And that is a good thing. ;) read more

We went in Friday to look at earrings. We were promptly greeted and asked a thousand questions about what we were looking for. The guy was like the earrings are over here so we casually worked our way over there because we were looking at their other jewelry.
