This great store is located in Century Center. I would have given it five stars, but the prices are high and I'm not a fan of jewelry in the first place (so I'm a little bias). That being said, the service here is outstanding. Not only will they help you find what you need, but they will teach you how not to get swindled by less reputable jewelry establishments. Took my wife's ring for repair on Wednesday(7/16) and was told it would be ready on Tuesday(7/22). Went in on Tuesday, only to be told it wouldn't be ready until Wednesday morning. Went in on Wednesday at noon and still not ready. Ten more minutes and it would be done. As we waited, the owner's dog roamed freely without a leash in the shop, sniffing at our legs and at one point licking my wife's foot. Completely unprofessional and disturbing. When the ring was done, I requested a discount, which we were given. Had I not requested this discount, it's obvious that we would have been charged the full amount. We will definitely not be returning there again and highly recommend that you not take your business there,unless you like being put off and enjoy a dog sniffing your legs and licking your feet. read more

Happened to me when I first brought in my 1970 18kt solid gold Geneve watch and then again with my Breitling Avenger Skyland watch. The woman behind the counter quickly and politely answered all of his questions. She was very nice when she helped me as well. Then, geez, I got my self into trouble and looked at the men's rings. If you are a man, DO NOT DO IT, don't look, you will get into trouble as well, lol. I remember always digging their jewelry...always unique stuff w/pizazz. Long story short, I came back multiple times and ended up purchasing four awesome rings...you can see some pictures I included. Overall they did a really good job and look forward to saving money do I can go back. I hope that this review was helpful in some way to someone. If you have real money, not like me, Terry Jr is your man, The Dude, some say the Stig, The Myth...just kidding, no, but seriously he is an amazing jeweler and his forte is definitely creating custom pieces. For example, if I had the money, I'd for sure have a meteor pendant necklace commissioned immediately, with white and pink gold outer cage, with connected gold lattice, sprinkled with just the right amount of perfectly cut precious gems, rubies emeralds and diamonds, to draw people in. Terry Jr showed me how he uses a certain type of wax, to literally sculpt, in super super fine detail the mold for any type of jewelry to be created. So, customers can give a final nod before the mold is cast and the piece is created, leaving room for artistic creation between you, the piece and Terry's expertise. Happy Times Everyone Just realized...to be more helpful, the cost of each of the 4 rings I purchased several months ago was around 500 each. Extremely affordable considering their caliber and quality. Also, free cleanings and polishings for life. There was one time when they gave me a time to pick up ring after being sized, when on way I called in and they turned me away saying please wait another hour as got behind due to Reps coming in. Luckily, this was no biggie for me, especially in light of the fact that they did it in two days as I was going out of town. read more

The guy gave me fair price. $20 bucks and pick it up in a week. I had a lot going on and believe it or not I forgot about it. But they gave me a curiosity call to let me know it was done. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took a gold chain that just needed a larger lobster claw clasp put on it because my mom is no longer able to maneuver the one it had due to some medical issue. When I took it in the owner's son he showed me 2 sizes of clasps and I chose the larger one. He told me the total would be $75.00. My mom felt that was quite expensive but having not purchased gold jewelry for a long time, I just didn't know. When I picked up the chain and brought it home we realized that he had not returned the orginal clasp. My mom called him and was told she could have the clasp back in two days for an additional charge of $15. REALLY??? You are going to charge me for my own gold clasp. WHAT REPUTABLE JEWELER DOES THAT? Every jeweler I have ever used automatically returns any gold they remove from jewelry I have brought in even if it is a small amount. I then took the necklace to a REPUTABLE JEWELER I have used for years in Alameda and showed him the new gold clasp and asked him how much he would charge for the same thing. He looked it up in the Stellar book (a manual that shows wholesale and retail that EVERY JEWELER uses) and showed me the retail price of this clasp according to this book is $28.00. Yep, you saw that right $28.00. Oh, and MY jeweler says he ALWAYS returns the excess gold to the customer. He stated the only time he wouldn't do that is if when I brought the item in he advised me he would discount the cost of the new piece by stating the amount of trade in he would give me for keeping the old piece. I was introduced to Terry's Touch of Gold, and Terry Jr. a year ago when my sisters and I need to divide a ring that belonged to our father, it was a rather large man's ring. I lived on the East Coast and was just visiting family so I wanted Terry to design something simple and quick. Since it was the end of my trip I left the ring in his possession and went home to the East Coast. After several e-mails he convinced me to do something more interesting with the ring and he asked me if I had any old jewelry that I might use. I sent him a photo of my dream ring and my old wedding ring and told him when I would be back in town in a few months. I recently went here with my boyfriend to pick out an engagement ring. After checking out all the other jewelry stores, we found that my boyfriend didn't qualify for the credit, and we needed to find another option. A friend from work suggested we try Terry's and we were immediately impressed with them! Right away we were approved for credit and they sat right down with us and I described the ring that I liked in another store. They drew a picture of the ring right there and that night they emailed me pictures of the computer generated model to confirm that it was what I wanted! Terry Sr. took one look at her hand and confirmed that her ring needed to be cut off and then instead of telling us to go to the hospital where she would be charged $1,000 - $1,200 to have it cut off, Terry did it for her for free.
