Pear & Berry Mule and Pomegranate Margarita
    Norah T.

Vintage was nothing short of amazing! I am not from Madison, but my close friend who lives here always talks about it and how it is a Madison classic. We sat in the bubble outside and it came with a heater in it which definitely was needed. The pear and berry mule was my first drink and it tasted mostly like ginger bear, not berries or pear, but I am not complaining. The pomegranate margarita was amazing though, not too strong but you could definitely taste the tequila! Pomegranate taste was prevalent. The real star of the show was the food. I got the Tuscan sandwich which comes with grilled chicken on it. All the toppings were so needed. I LOVED the caramlized onions on it and the red peppers. It was not boring in any sense, and I loved how the brioche bun was crispy. The fries on the side were perfect. Crispy on the outside and the inside part of the potato did not overpower the crispiness. With wedge fries that tends to happen, but Vintage has the method down. Lastly, our serve was amazing. He was visiting home for Spain and it was his first day back and he was on his A - Game. He checked in on us at least 6 times in those 2 hours and was very considerate. Ended the night with the $3 mystery shot and it was delicious. Some type of brown crème, caramel liqueur I would assume. I would so go back to Vintage!

Small outdoor patio for lunch on a nice day. Game broadcast was a little loud. Food was good. Great fries! Turkey club, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders and fish tacos were all great

Our group of four was easily able to snag an outdoor spot on a busy Saturday morning. All of us ordered versions of the loaded breakfast potatoes and it hit the spot after a long celebratory night out just hours before. Cute little spot for a quick hair of the dog! Good service and a good downtown location. Prices were reasonable. Got the nachos, tater tots, and caesar salad. Everything was tasty and hot. They were able to put the chicken on the side for the nachos which I appreciated.

Drinks are fire, and the food is even better. Nothing much better in life than some chicken nachos and a Bees Knees on the patio on a hot summer day. If you have Grant or Cole serving you, they are easy pickens, but every other server is sweet.

We went here for an outdoor patio that would allow dogs and it's the perfect spot! On a Friday evening we were able to walk right in and order food (kitchen closes at 10). Service was quick and they also brought out a water bowl for our friend's dog. Their drink list is also pretty extensive. I recommend!

Service was fantastic , food was delicious (had spicy peanut bowl), beverage selection was large, and music was on point...will revisit when I'm back in Madison!

This place has a really cool vibe! I stopped in here with some friends before a night out and we tried the nachos and they were really good! For $12 ($10 without chicken) they give you a very generous amount and they don't skimp on the toppings! The queso had a bit of a kick to it too which I really loved. Everything tasted super fresh and I'll definitely be coming back in the future to try some of their other food! They have a really extensive drink menu too and games available for customers to play.

I like coming here on a chill night - they have a really good selection of beers, mostly their own as well! The bar feels a little divey, but who can say no to good beer that's also cheap? They frequently have good specials here, but most beers are under $6-7. Dedication is one of my favorites, but I tried the oatmeal stout this time and it didn't disappoint! Definitely recommend!

Seems to be a pretty nice place to meet up with people. It's very nice and trendy with the ambient hanging lights and such. Not too too loud music perfect for conversations. We sat outside,,, if you haven't already noticed that I was describing their patio area. Anyways, I ordered cheese curds to share. Vintage burger and the Caesar salad for me. So!! Here goes... Cheese Curds: they were pretty good. Squeaky cheese is always a good indication of perfect curds. Caesar salad: forgettable Vintage Burger: That was the redeemer of everything. I would have to say that it's definitely a strong burger. I would love to give it a 4, but unfortunately the service was a bit lacking. There was no shareable little plates when the appetizers arrived. I had to ask for it. Then when the burger came,, the server was non existent. I've seen her pass by twice,, seemed like she was ignoring us. So I just took it upon myself to walk to the just recently vacated table to grab their condiments for my burger. My water was never refilled as well. Oh well right??? What's done is done. At least the beer was cold and the food was pretty good. And I told you all about my experience through this app. Thanks for reading my review. I hope this helps. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

We have been staying downtown and now visited the last Vintage of the three in town. This one serves the college crowd and the food menu reflects that. We wanted the spinach salad but they were out of spinach. We settled for the nachos, which were awesome but not the healthy route that we originally wanted, we also ordered the chicken tenders with fries. Kitchen is limited that is maybe why... Nice outdoor sitting area and nice staff, Michael the bartender was awesome.

Nice spot for brunch. Great patio with outdoor seating. Like the build your own bloody bar and at $5 that's pretty cheap for a bloody anywhere, much less BYO. Mine didn't taste good, but probably my own fault. I ordered the huevos rancheros and thought it was the perfect meal for the start of Saturday after late night drinking Friday. My wife had the spinach crepes and I must say they looked so un-appetizing and had the consistency of raw dough. The inside was excellent however. All in all I enjoyed the place, nice drink menu, good beer selections and they make their own too :). Give it a shot. Especially if you don't want to wait forever at Bassett Brunch around the corner.

While we were very happy with our enormous half-pretzel and my partner said Prost made the best beer cheese sauce she'd ever tasted, our mains were kinda lackluster. My partner remarked that the Beyond Bratwurst merely tasted like breakfast sausage. The sauerbraten was just some plain pulled pork with a scant drizzle of sauerbraten gravy, nothing like the well-marinated real deal. The potato pancake wasn't really pancake-y, more like some glorified shredded hash browns. The red cabbage was kinda bland. The pickled veg that accompanied the sausage plate looked and tasted fresh and crisp, with a nice hint of warm spice present in the carrots. The space is a pleasing reuse of an old deconsecrated church, with the requisite beer hall-style dining benches. Sports play on the televisions in the main dining hall and above the bar. In summary, I guess you gotta know what Prost!'s strengths are. Their pretzel is epic, but most everything else seemed to fall short. If you're there just for the beer, you can't go wrong.

The menu is filled with elevated pub food, a few classics and then a few twists on those very classics. Come hinge, because the menu is carb-driven, so be ready to eat! To start, we went with the poutine, because why not! The fries were crispy, gravy was velvety and the curds were firm, yet melty enough for a good cheese pull! For our mains, we both went sandwiches. I went with the Celtic Burger, which is their standard burger with added caramel iced onion, whiskey bacon jam, Irish cheddar and a garlic aioli. The burger was good and cooked well, but it was less impressive than I expected given all the goods they added to it. While the aforementioned additions sound like a flavor bomb, it was still fairly one note in overall flavor. It was still tasty, but again, not as expected. My buddy went with the corned beef sandwich. He enjoyed it, no major issues! I did appreciate that exchanging fries with fried curds was an option, especially after loaded up on fries as a starter. The curds were well fried, pillowy and quite tasty. Perfect side for sure! In addition to the food, they are known for their bar offerings so you know we had to grab a few cocktails! I went with the Golden Dew and my buddy the Old Fashioned. Golden Dew was delightful, however the old fashioned was a bit sweet, but that's possibly the brandy. Service was great. We walked in and hit the wait list, however was able to scoop up a few seats at the bar before our table was ready. The bartenders were friendly, helpful and an overall joy to interact with. Overall, definitely a fan of The Coopers Tavern! When back in Madison, I would certainly swing by again!

The bartender assured us that their vegan options were incredible. MadisonTap features many local Wisconsin beers on tap. They seem to often rotate the beers and keep a solid selection. MadisonTap was spacious with bar seats, tables, and booths available. The design and decor were well thought out. The crowd seems to be young professionals in their mid-20s to early 30s. I don't recall the beers I got here but I do remember prices being ~$7-10 range mark. The bartender and owner place special emphasis on being vegetarian and vegan friendly. Even one of the cocktails used vegan butter. There was a single bartender when I visited but it was a bit slow. We had a great conversation and watched Christmas movies on the projectors. We went on a Saturday night. The crowd was mostly young college students from the nearby university but it is for all ages before 8pm. The atmosphere was a very fun, high energy vibe, with music in the background but still laid back because it is a small arcade bar. I loved the arcade/gaming themed bar and food menu that goes perfectly with the whole atmosphere! They have cheap fun cocktails that come in cute cups like Pac-Man(sweet Sex on the Beach cocktail) and fruity shots like the Fiery Mario and Kitby's Dream Potion. There was a decent selection of tap beers and even mocktails! They have a small menu of bar food like the Donkey King Chicken Strips, Street Fighter Nachos, and a selection of Lorenzo's Pizza. Make sure to check out their website because different days they have different deal specials throughput the week. To play the arcade games you need to purchase a loadable Tap and Play card with denominations of $20, $30, $40, $50, $75 and $100 but beware of the $2 new card fee. To play the games, you tap the machine with your card. It's 35 - 95 taps per play depending on what game you want to play. I thought the pricing was high compared to some of the other nearby arcades since its also a small selection of games. Some of the games you can earn points or rewards called CAPS where more tap points are added on your card to play more games or even claim for food/drinks off the CAPS menu. Double Tap Beercade didn't have a big selection of classic games but they had my favorite game "Street Fighter". They have games a small mix of carnival, pinball, and arcade games such as skee ball, Mario Kart, Pac-Man, and Sink It. I noticed a-lot of dirty food plates, empty drinks not cleaned up from the tables left on tables when people were clearly done. I hope they make an effort to be better about staying on top off of picking up dirty plates, clearing, and cleaning tables as people are done so guests can enjoy available clean tables because it wasn't super busy and there was more than one staff. The Double Tap Beercade has room for improvements but it is definitely a great, small, laid back, fun arcade bar that is fun place to meet up with family, friends, or a date night! The bartenders provided attentive, friendly service! I definitely plan on going back again because it was such a fun atmosphere!
