Turkey dressing entre with mashed potatoes and Oven Baked Mac and Cheese
A D.

The flavor of the few choices entre's of food is subpar to plain. Only a few choices and, the all you can eat price after 5pm is too expensive. $16 advertised price goes up to $20 after a drink and after taxes for old left over from earlier cooked food they don't want to throw away after their 8pm closing time.

Fresh salad, broccoli casserole, and swai fried fish. See that beautiful biscuit!!

Well, this place is different ! It is cafeteria style, BUT serve yourself! They just opened where 5 spot is too be on Progress and 316. Love the new decor very fresh and clean! Our server Amy was fantastic! She explained how things worked after seeing us looking confused! They had several meats, fried chicken, country fried steak, baked fish, fried swai fish, which I got that was delicious, baked chicken, and I think meatloaf. Meats were like $3.40, vegetables around 2.40/2.80, same for desserts. I chose broccoli casserole, and it was so good! Plus, I had a very fresh salad along with strawberry shortcake. My friend had swai and chicken, Mac n cheese, and green beans. He cleaned his plate, saying everything was great! Oh yeah, he had a biscuit that was Ahmazing and huge! Cathead size and would've been awesome for breakfast stuffed with sausage, egg, and cheese ! They do a breakfast buffet, too. My meal was reasonably priced at $10. See pic

This is real deal, cooked with love, kinda food. Some of the best, I mean the BEST biscuits I've ever had. Weekends until 3 is the best brunch buffet. Run to this little gem. So very, very good.

This was actually my second time visiting this restaurant. The location is a bit away from everything and it just sits alone like a little country cottage. Lots of parking was available. And both times I went it was actually not busy at all. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, asking us if we had ever been there before. My children hadn't so the waitress was very sweet and explained to them how things work there. So basically it's an à la carte type of deal. You go down the buffet line and choose the items that you want. Most of the food was country comfort food if I had to explain it. Fried chicken, chicken livers, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, baked macaroni and cheese, fried fish, and of course salad and some desserts. There was more also including cornbread. There's a station off to the side with all of the fixings that you'll need, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce... Those type of things. We all said at the table and the waitress came along with her handheld computer to input each item that we had. And for a family of four, our bill was only around $60, which was absolutely amazing. As far as the food goes, it wasn't bad, but could have been seasoned a little bit more and possibly freshened. But I'm still not complaining. The entrance feels like you're walking into one of your old family members homes in the country. The inside feels like you're in your grandma's kitchen. There wasn't anything to stand outish about this restaurant, but I was pleased with my visit and will most likely be back again.

Great comfort food. My granddaughter and I enjoyed it.

The breading on the chicken was comparable to what you would find at Popeyes. The food arrived piping hot, almost too hot to eat I had to let it cool for a few minutes. I ordered the cat fish sandwich, which was quite large. However, it lacked seasoning altogether. If they add more seasoning, I believe this could be a hit. Unfortunately, I did not receive any seasoning, and I do not believe I would order again. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a small, family-owned store on the corner of a strip mall. The interior was clean and nothing special. The staff was friendly. Calling in the food would reduced the 20-minute wait time, as the food is made to order. I have no issue with this, as you can clearly tell by how piping hot the food was. The other items I ordered besides the fish sandwich were whole chicken wings meal that came with French fries and a drink. The price is slightly on the higher side. In my opinion, I will not return to this establishment.

It has a selective but deeply French inspired menu that fits everyone's tastes and very generous portions for the price. I went here to celebrate my birthday with my family and what an amazing experience! I highly recommend The Galloping Galette not only for their service but also for the food, the atmosphere and the attention-to-detail. It was our first time here and I had the Lakeside cocktail which was very smooth without being overpowering. Everyone who tasted it also loved it. We had the salmon roll and the mussels for appetizers. My husband had the French onion soup that he said he would come back here just to have the soup, it was so good. For entrees, we had beef strips, scallops, the 1" thick pork chop special with sweet potatoes that was like a perfect soufflé, and flavorful collard greens, which I typically don't like but these were very good. I can't remember the name of the other entree, but it was like a beef roast over mashed potatoes. I'm totally butchering the names of these entrees. The menu is in French with descriptions in English. We had the dessert with bananas, the dessert with exotic fruits and the dessert with chocolate. Everything was excellent in taste, texture, timeliness and presentation. Viviane, who was the owner and explained that she and the food were from the northern part of France, I believe, sang happy birthday in French! She came to the table a few times to check on us and the servers were on the spot with meeting our requests and needs.
