We stopped by this place after a day of wine tasting at vineyards, and I'm really glad we did! It was a dark, cool place that had plenty of seating. Seemed more like a casual lounge/bar environment than many of the other wine tasting places in Napa. There was even a TV playing a basketball game. I loved hanging out here and drinking their wine. Their tasting had about 6 wines to try, and they waive the tasting fee with a purchase too! We ended up buying two bottles here. Raymond our server was fantastic, he even brought out bread sticks for us to eat while enjoying our wine. Overall great place, would definitely come back again. Great hole in a wall find! Unlike other wineries, twenty rows wasn't packed and gave off a more intimate and personal feel. Tim was very knowledgable and generous with his wine. There were barrels and barrels of wine inside with plenty of seating and an art gallery in one of the rooms. My friends and I really enjoyed their Vinoce tasting. Delicious wines and wonderful staff. I loved going to Twenty Rows. It is located just outside of downtown Napa--away from the craziness of Highway 29. And the service is personable and personal. I had such a great time here, I would feel terrible if I didn't give them 5 stars. This tasting room felt like a hole in the wall, and initially upon arriving I was skeptical. But, as soon as we were greeted by Lori (owner) and we walked into the tasting room/barrel room, I loved it immediately. I don't usually like barrel rooms because of the dimness in them, but at Twenty Rows, they took the time to add a few extra lighting, some nice tables, and a nice lounging circle with cool looking lounge chairs ( i knew they wouldn't be comfy, but I couldn't resist sitting on them), which made the room feel much more romantic. After being greeted by Lori, we were introduced to her son Tyler who assisted us for the rest of the tasting. For such a young age, I have to give Tyler credit for being so knowledgeable about his family's business. He was very informative and helpful. My fiance (and I...I'm more quiet when my fiance is around =) ) enjoy chatting up our wine servers when we go wine tasting, and we definitely had a great time talking to Tyler. Lori came back mid way during our tasting and it was so fun talking to her as well. Honestly, very friendly and definitely family oriented winery. You can feel the hospitality from Lori when you talk to her. Because we felt so comfortable and was having such a good time, we spent over an hour ( I think close to 2hrs) at their tasting room. Now onto the wines, we tasted a sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, merlot, the grappler, a twenty rows cab and their Vinoce label Cab. All of their twenty row label wines were $20. Good deal for great wine, in my opinion. The ones that stood out to me the most were the Chardonnay, the Grappler and the Merlot. Needless to say, we walked away with half a case of wine filled with a combination of the three wines above. During our tasting, Tyler also offered us a little plate of bread and homemade croutons (made by Lori- which were delicious on their own may I add) to dip with their Olive Oil (which they also make). Again, it was just so friendly and quiet here, I would definitely go back. I would also recommend this to anyone who are more interested in the smaller wineries to get a more personal experience. It's definitely not the type where you see the vineyard, or taste in this fancy room with 5 servers at a time behind the bar. Again, small, intimate, and personal wine tasting experience. read more

5 stars, all the way. I am VERY glad we decided to visit this spot. At first we only decided to come here because it was listed as one of the wineries that provides complimentary wine tasting for Napa Card holders. Unfortunately, they no longer accept the card. But luckily, the guy working there, Tim, was nice enough to offer us a 2 for 1 deal. I instantly fell in love with the place as soon as I stepped foot into the building. It even includes a small art gallery. Lights are dimmed and includes community-style seating. Every worker was very welcoming! The goal of this winery is to make wine that people can drink every day... and that is exactly what they did! Every wine that we were able to try was amazing. It's hard to give a recommendation just because all of them were delicious. HIGHLY recommend coming to this winery! One of my favorite places in Napa. Stopped by Memorial Day Weekend with my boyfriend. We had researched the best places to go to while in Napa, and Twenty Rows was on our list of the most highly rated and least commercial/corporate wineries. Service was excellent -- Twenty Rows is operated by the family that owns the vineyards. They really do care about their customers and it shows. The family was able to achieve a very intimate setting in a very spacious place. Wish there were places in LA like this. My boyfriend and I tried a few wines (both Vinoce and Twenty Rows), mostly reds. Our favorite was the 2011 Grappler, a nutty Zinfindel that was a great value at $20. We purchased two and they waived the charge of the tasting. Definitely would come again. Thank you so much! read more

I went to Twenty Rows recently with a big group of girlfriends and they had by far the best wines and tasting room experience of the weekend. This is the only downtown Napa location to actually make the wine, which lends itself to a very authentic yet unpretentious experience. The manager/owner/tasting room operator, Tim, has so much enthusiasm for his family wines and his passion for the industry easily shines through. I would recommend this winery to anyone that wants to drink great, non-commercial wines and get a personalized experience. It's good for groups big or small. When my wife and I went they were showing the Duke vs Syracuse bball game on their projector and preparing for a superbowl party...did I mention no pretentious Napa attitude? Veronica was very nice. And blond guy with glasses...tim?... Was super nice too. We tested vinoce sauv blanc...it was delish. Twenty rows Merlot was magnificent, easy to drin1k. Grappler zinfandel was only 13.9% versus other Zinfandels.. Very fragrant. Nice and Spicy. Cab sauv was soooo good. Very syrupy. Won lots of awards apparently. Came here on Saturday with the BF to do a tasting before we headed off to a massage. The staff here were very friendly and got us started on our flight right away. The lady that was helping us was super nice and very informative about the wines and where they are grown and what the taste should be etc. I thought that was great she was super nice. Really cool little hide-away in Napa with great indoor seating and nice wines. This place reminds me of something outta the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland.
