I haven't been to a Vino Volo in a few years but I am glad I did on my flight from Minneapolis to New York! Proud loyalty member here and glad to accrue more points! Kudos and respect to Nique for holding down the bar and working on Easter Sunday! He's an also a mighty chef making my tomato basil mozzarella flatbread pizza! Great food! Might fine selection of wines of course. Reds, whites, sparkling, take your pick! Very relaxed ambiance. Elegant and refined!

I got through TSA surprisingly fast and had some time for a glass of wine - I had just sent my children's book off to the publisher earlier that day and wanted to take a moment to reflect and celebrate! This was a great place to do that! It's a quiet , lovely spot in the airport and the staff is awesome! Super fast service. I tried a flight/tasting of red wine and a delicious salad. I was enjoying this moment so much I forgot to watch the time. When I checked, it was boarding time for my flight - several gates away. I asked for a check and they brought it immediately. I raced to my flight and was the last to board. Yikes - but it was worth it!!

Decent food and wine. Stopped in on way through for work. Got the spicy ham pizza and a moscatto. I asked for crushed red pepper but man, after a bit with no added peppers, changed my mind. The pizza had plent of balance and heat. Good place, decent prices.

When you have time between flights or you to the airport with time to kill, highly recommend Vino Volo, it's such a classy little spot in the airport but it transports you from feeling like you're in an airport. I had the Celebration Sparklers Taste All 3 for $19 and it was well worth it. Look how classy and cute the flight is! Also it for me feeling pretty good right away, so you know it's high quality champagne that they are serving! I had the burrata appetizer ($15) and another full glass of a Sparkling Blend from Armenia ($17). This blend has notes of green apple and lime tart. Perfectly crisp and bright! All in all I'm really pleased with this experience and would highly recommend it to anyone! A classy, luxurious moment with champagne?! Sign me up! 10/10

Had some time in PIT, wanted a glass of good wine! Located Vino Volo by asking about wine. Had not heard of it. Liked the Ambiance immediately. The wine I ordered was a hit! Castello di Stefanago! Italian Panini was excellent. Service was excellent, attended very well.

Nice table area with outlets and friendly service. But a double Tito's and OJ was 31.65 before tip. The restaurant a few spaces down has much better price points.

Much better than the average airport food. They were able to accommodate a vegan in our party. Love that the wine comes with tasting notes. Extensive wine menu plus good (apps, flat breads, salads and sandwiches).

Great prompt service. I see these venues in many airports and I now seek them out. You can order a small plate with a wine flight of your choosing. It's not at all fast food that find at most airports. I had the ultimate with my wine flight. A beet avocado salad. Perfect before my flight.

Fun to try their flights. Gives you a good taste of the selected region. And it's not in-house wines. Where else can you try three pours?

Excellent grilled chicken salad. Lisa made an excellent wine recommendation. The Lupo di Mareviligia from Pulgia tastes complex with cherry notes. I highly recommend stopping if your in MSP. Deb

Grabbing a bite before my flight. There was some seating in the back and I felt like we had our own private dining room. Alter Ego cider was fantastic. Flights of wine were extremely reasonable too. Beet & avocado salad. Delish!!!

Nice lil pit stop in the airport. They have wine flights ranging from $15 and up so that you can do a little tasting while you wait on your flight. Lots of seating available and very courteous service.

For this meal, we were all especially pleased to see persimmon gracing the menu. This lovely winter fruit added bright color, texture, and flavor to the dishes that it was incorporated into (I highly recommend them). I had it in the second course, a lovely salad that also contained endive, pear, radish, pine nuts and a wonderful layer of creamy taleggio. It was unique and very delicious. For my third course, I ordered the masa dumplings, which I have had before. Spoiler: they were just as good this time. With a pleasing firm but tender texture, these wonderful little dumplings hit just right. The Calabrian chili in the sauce adds a pleasant rosy color and a bit of warmth without being spicy (it's totally safe for your most Minnesotan dining companions). As always, it was beautifully plated. For my next course, I ordered the toasted farro, which is delicious, hearty, and comforting. The chewy grains combine beautifully with the umami from the cheese and porcinis to make a wonderfully substantial flavor and feel. Underneath it all, a bright basil pistou adds a pop of color to remind you that even though it's winter, spring is just around the corner. This is just a perfect dish for a cold, dark winter night. For dessert, I tried something new: the cream cheese tart. I chose wisely: this was a lovely winter dessert that was somewhat reminiscent of cheesecake (but definitely better). It was just the right amount of richness and perfectly balanced by a delicious pear compote and a layer of balsamic vinaigrette. Absolutely perfect. As always, I appreciated the awesome selection of N/A beverages. (The paNOma? Still my favorite!)

No big deal, we followed the signs and located the new location, which is tucked off the road in an odd sort of retail center. Unfortunately, we discovered that the new location shares a space with an Italian cafe or bistro type of restaurant. There is a good amount of wine available, which makes sense I guess. But the beer selection, which used to be among the best-curated and most unique in the area, is now not even worth the stop. The walk-in cooler for beer is a sad, sad state of affairs, especially if you know what the selection used to be like. Certainly, if wine is your thing, I'm sure there's something passable if you need a bottle to go with dinner or take to a party. But if you're looking for beer, move on to a different store. Hit Thomas Liquors or Ale Jail in St. Paul. Sadly, everything that made Sunfish a unique beer lovers' destination is no more. We are truly sad about it. This was one of our favorite hidden gems in the Twin Cities. As an aside, we also were not impressed by the service. When we walked in, a girl rushed up to us and asked if we needed help. I highly suspect she thought we were going to steal something. It did not make us feel welcomed. And then she straight-up lied to us. She told us that most of the beer from the old location had been brought over, which is absolutely not true. I am truly sad to say we will not be back.

It is such a treat to board first or at your leisure, and get a priority tag slapped on your luggage among some of the perks. What I wasn't expecting was complimentary lounge access at the United Club lounge at MSP. I had been to one United Club in EWR (Newark) over a decade ago. I probably have a different perspective from others who have rated this United Club. I am the type who doesn't take such opportunities for granted. I am a seasoned traveller, but I still feel like I'm the newbie who crashes business class now and again. Between the EWR and MSP United lounges, the former is indeed bigger. I remember snacking and making hot chocolate. It doesn't take much to keep me content. However, I like MSP a lot more. Sure, it's small. Size isn't everything. I feel like many are so focused on how large things are. How about quality? How yummy the food is? How nice staff are? This club is between gates E6 and E8. Air Canada and United flights arrive at and depart from concourse E. To get the magical door of this club lounge to open, you press a button on the right side of the wall. Once you are inside, you check in at the desk by scanning your boarding pass. I always feel like I'm a newbie at any lounge. Luckily, the woman at the desk was so friendly. I scanned my boarding pass from my phone. It worked nicely. The woman welcomed me in as if I were a regular. As expected, all lounge seating by the window was taken. I was fine being in front of a TV screen, with the windows to my right. I actually was pleased that the view was so nice. I had charging plugs and USB ports by my comfy seat. I charged my phone, which felt like a luxury. I headed to the food and drink area to see what was there. I came in with a Caribou Coffee sparkling drink, so I didn't bother with drinks at this lounge. However, I did feel like a snack. I got veggie sticks and a turkey sandwich. Both were yummy and hit the spot. I was here on St. Patrick's Day. A woman came by, asking if I wanted a corned beef sandwich and coleslaw. Wow! I said yes. I got them on a little tray with a fork. These two items were even better than what I had just eaten. The sandwich was divine. Maybe it's because I don't indulge in corned beef as much as I used to. I loved the coleslaw. It was crunchy and I'm always a fan of some side salad. I used the washroom before leaving this lounge. It was a single stall and was clean. My flight was to start boarding at 4 pm. Instead, I heard a courtesy call in this lounge that it was the last call for my flight. What?! The good thing was that I was boarding at gate E3, which wasn't far. I also didn't have anyone sitting next to me in my aisle, so I didn't need to make anyone stand up to get to my window seat. I thanked the two women at the club front desk and wished them a great day. I then headed to my gate and heard my last name being called out with two other folks. I had a wonderful experience at this lounge. It had everything that I needed. Staff were friendly. That corned beef sandwich with coleslaw was yummy. (137)

It's a pretty small club so I imagine during busier hours this place is hard to find a seat at. I got there a little after 5 AM so it wasn't bad but an hour and a half later it was full. The food selection was disappointing. Outside of the oatmeal, there weren't any hot food options. Everything else was pre-packaged like the fruit, boiled eggs, and egg salad sandwiches. Snacks to go were limited to chocolate covered espresso beans which is an elevated option, but not being a morning sweets kind of person, variety would've been nice. They did have orange juice, cranberry juice, teas, coffees, water, and lemonade so breakfast wise that worked for me. I did notice that there wasn't a drink fountain so you'd probably order soda from the bar. The bathroom was clean, the WiFi was fast, and the team members were friendly. There weren't any desks or meeting/phone spaces so not the most ideal if you're planning on working while traveling. This airport is pretty nice with amble seating, but I wouldn't pass up on this United Club next time I'm here. However, if you're buying a day pass, I'd probably opt for the Escape Lounge because it's cheaper, bigger, and has hot food available.

Without that credit it would be overpriced just like everything at the airport, but still that was very yummy. One is a bar and restaurant, and there is also a shop with golf-type stuff. Seating is comparable to a family restaurant and it overlooks the central concourse. Then there is the quieter, more lounge-y section. You can get the same food/drinks whichever side you choose. And there are golf simulators!
