Tip: The club lounge is between gates E6 and E8. I got upgraded to business class when I flew on an Air Canada flight from MSP (Minneapolis - Saint Paul) to YYZ (Toronto Pearson). It is such a treat to board first or at your leisure, and get a priority tag slapped on your luggage among some of the perks. What I wasn't expecting was complimentary lounge access at the United Club lounge at MSP. I had been to one United Club in EWR (Newark) over a decade ago. I probably have a different perspective from others who have rated this United Club. I am the type who doesn't take such opportunities for granted. I am a seasoned traveller, but I still feel like I'm the newbie who crashes business class now and again. Between the EWR and MSP United lounges, the former is indeed bigger. I remember snacking and making hot chocolate. It doesn't take much to keep me content. However, I like MSP a lot more. Sure, it's small. Size isn't everything. I feel like many are so focused on how large things are. How about quality? How yummy the food is? How nice staff are? This club is between gates E6 and E8. Air Canada and United flights arrive at and depart from concourse E. To get the magical door of this club lounge to open, you press a button on the right side of the wall. Once you are inside, you check in at the desk by scanning your boarding pass. I always feel like I'm a newbie at any lounge. Luckily, the woman at the desk was so friendly. I scanned my boarding pass from my phone. It worked nicely. The woman welcomed me in as if I were a regular. As expected, all lounge seating by the window was taken. I was fine being in front of a TV screen, with the windows to my right. I actually was pleased that the view was so nice. I had charging plugs and USB ports by my comfy seat. I charged my phone, which felt like a luxury. I headed to the food and drink area to see what was there. I came in with a Caribou Coffee sparkling drink, so I didn't bother with drinks at this lounge. However, I did feel like a snack. I got veggie sticks and a turkey sandwich. Both were yummy and hit the spot. I was here on St. Patrick's Day. A woman came by, asking if I wanted a corned beef sandwich and coleslaw. Wow! I said yes. I got them on a little tray with a fork. These two items were even better than what I had just eaten. The sandwich was divine. Maybe it's because I don't indulge in corned beef as much as I used to. I loved the coleslaw. It was crunchy and I'm always a fan of some side salad. I used the washroom before leaving this lounge. It was a single stall and was clean. My flight was to start boarding at 4 pm. Instead, I heard a courtesy call in this lounge that it was the last call for my flight. What?! The good thing was that I was boarding at gate E3, which wasn't far. I also didn't have anyone sitting next to me in my aisle, so I didn't need to make anyone stand up to get to my window seat. I thanked the two women at the club front desk and wished them a great day. I then headed to my gate and heard my last name being called out with two other folks. I had a wonderful experience at this lounge. It had everything that I needed. Staff were friendly. That corned beef sandwich with coleslaw was yummy. (137) read more

There's nothing inherently wrong with this location, but it's just not on the level of other United Clubs I've been too. It's a pretty small club so I imagine during busier hours this place is hard to find a seat at. I got there a little after 5 AM so it wasn't bad but an hour and a half later it was full. The food selection was disappointing. Outside of the oatmeal, there weren't any hot food options. Everything else was pre-packaged like the fruit, boiled eggs, and egg salad sandwiches. Snacks to go were limited to chocolate covered espresso beans which is an elevated option, but not being a morning sweets kind of person, variety would've been nice. They did have orange juice, cranberry juice, teas, coffees, water, and lemonade so breakfast wise that worked for me. I did notice that there wasn't a drink fountain so you'd probably order soda from the bar. The bathroom was clean, the WiFi was fast, and the team members were friendly. There weren't any desks or meeting/phone spaces so not the most ideal if you're planning on working while traveling. This airport is pretty nice with amble seating, but I wouldn't pass up on this United Club next time I'm here. However, if you're buying a day pass, I'd probably opt for the Escape Lounge because it's cheaper, bigger, and has hot food available. read more

This is definitely not one of the nicer United clubs I've seen. It is extremely small. There are comfortable chairs to sit in as opposed to waiting at the gate. There is a very small coffee station as well. There is a full bar but it is paid. The food is not the same as it is mostly all pre packed food in plastic not buffet style like the other lounges I've gone to. I guess it's better than waiting at your gate but it really doesn't have much to offer. read more

This is a cozy boutique club that has a personal feeling. I sat at the bar while typing this review and I like it. Unlike other clubs, this one has prepackaged food, a great coffee/illy machine, chocolate almonds and a bar. The team is very friendly and I recommend this one. Yes it is small and it is worth it! This is definitely the tiniest United Club I've ever been to. The service was decent, but honestly, with MSP having just a few gates for United, I was surprised they even opened a club here. If you're looking for a better club experience, you might want to check out the Escape Lounge in Terminal 1, located on the mezzanine level above the entrance to concourse E. read more

As others mentioned, it is very small. But, friendly and pleasant staff, and variety of grab and go options, mostly, and a working illy coffee machine. The Club is a haven that makes my traveling so much be easier. Their Chicken and rice hot porridge was full of comforting flavors. The variety in the fridge was surprising too. There were half croissant turkey sandwiches, crudités with hummus, chicken salad with cucumber slices and crackers and fresh fruits in a container. Service was efficient, helpful and patience was exercised by all the staff that day. There were many flights that day which were delayed and rerouted, plus's other flights were waiting for flight crews to arrive on other flight. The crowds trying to get a space into the lounge were to say the least disappointed and a few were rude to the staff at times. Ambiance is what you make of it. Comfort, clean, nice bar well stocked with a good bartender. read more

It's a very small united club. It's nice but always get illy espresso when hanging out and the espresso machine was out of order. Staff was very nice and accommodating of whatever needed. Asked if there was any thing they could get me while looking at food bar. My big reason for 3 stars was the size of the club and no espresso today. read more

Some soup of the day, stale tasting old coffee cake, and a bunch little salad to-go choices like pasta salad. Blech! Front desk person was lovely, but bartender gave hubby a flat soda. So hubby nicely just said, "Hey this is flat." Bartender tried to blame a flat soda on it having ice in it. Dude. You just poured it, and we just were being polite. That wasn't a big deal, but then he complained about my hubby to front desk person when we were seated 5 feet away. We are in Minneapolis, not a Paris bistro! And we tipped the bartenders! If you're spending time at the airport, it's well worth the cost of peace and quiet. A "day pass" also allows you access to any other United clubs on your travel that day. The place was packed when I arrived. I just barely found a place to sit. After I arrived, people were coming in and then turning around and leaving because there was no place for them to sit! About a basic of a United Club that you will find without it being a popup. However, the team staffing are some of the nicest people I have met in a club and the facilities are super clean. With limited resources, they do an amazing job at making sure you are well taken care of. The snack spread is very disappointing as they don't have the space to serve the food seen at other United Clubs (salad bar, luncheon meats) and similarly have abysmally tiny bathrooms (single occupancy!!) With that being said, United Clubs in other airports are really not that much better so you aren't missing out on much. The staff at least is very friendly and, given that there are only a few UA flights from MSP, it's nice that there is even a United Club here in the first place. I would never pay for a day pass, but if you have a United Club pass you might as well swing by. read more

Came here in the morning, the food selection: Banana, oranges, corn flakes, assorted pastries (cinnamon roll, croissant, muffins) and a pretty well working illy coffee machine- I liked my latte a lot! They had milk, juice (cranberry, orange and apple) yogurts, fruit cups & granola bars too. Besides that, it's a really quiet place & the front desk lady was sweet. She even let me sift through the box of wires to try to find an iPhone wire to borrow! Good wifi, quiet, good latte, comfy seating-- It's not the best or the newest United club I've ever been to, but it met my requirements. A tip- I learned from front desk United will soon no longer allow mileageplus members to use their 2 yearly club pass if they're not flying United on the day they use their club pass. read more

This makes it hard to find a spot to sit if you're traveling in a group. The chairs are arranged in groups of four which is not my favorite seating style, but probably maximizes the usable space. Only one flight status board - way in the back, none in the bar area or up near the front. 2. One toilet per gender. Annoying when you're in a hurry and need to pee quick before heading to your gate. 3. Sodas only Sprite or Sprite Zero without going up to the bar. Can I get a Coke? 4. When our flight was perpetually delayed, then boarded, then brought back to the gate, there was nowhere for anyone to stand as they waited for help at the desk. First impressions (on May 15, 2016 around 2pm) were that it was small, frayed, and dirty. I couldn't figure out why people would choose to pack themselves into such a dirty place in such a state of disrepair voluntarily. The person at the desk seemed obviously annoyed to see more people entering. Instead of communicating in a conversation of what she needed, she just blankly stared waiting for me to volunteer up the information she needed. When I thought she had what she needed because she was so uncommunicative, we started to walk into the club, which resulted in a "WAIT! I NEED YOUR FLIGHT NUMBER." She represented every stereotype of the disinterested airline employee, barking at the customers. We then entered the filthy facility. It was borderline disgusting. The white tables were absolutely filthy. I didn't dare go into the restrooms. The place was packed and it was hard to find seating, but the seating looked far more frayed and worn out than standard seating in the terminal. The bartender seemed confused about getting people drinks. The snack selection was decent but was displayed poorly. I was left wondering who was responsible for cleaning the place. I saw what seemed to be some contract staff trying to clean up. And she was the only person who bothered to say anything, thanking us when we left. The actual club staff couldn't seem to care less about the customers there or the state of the place. If this is a gage of the state of today's United, we were glad to be flying Delta. read more
