Picked up a pie today first time at this place. Not my favorite pizza and probably won't go out of my way for it. What I wasn't a fan of is the sauce tasted straight out of a can with little to no seasoning. What I did like was seeing the $1 slice available it's what gets you in the door. This is the fourth pizza joint I e been to since moving here and it's ranked the lowest out of the other three. I ordered from Vinny's yesterday evening. Upon asking for my debit information, I gave this to the owner and asked how much the charge would be. He admitted to mistakingly overcharging me and assured me that the difference would be paid in cash by the delivery driver. 2 hours later, I called back because the order had not been delivered. Attempting to resolve, I called and no one was there. I called this AM and advised to what was going on. He asked me to call back at 4pm. I did, and he said the delivery driver asserted that he gave the food and refund to a man who claimed to live with me. I assured him that no one lived with me except my chihuahua. He told me the driver would go back to the address and figure out what was going on. I advised him that I would just like a refund to my card. The owner hung up on me multiple times while I tried to reason that I have been a loyal customer in the past, and that I understood the mistake but no one lived with me and I'd like my money back. When I called back at one point in another attempt to resolve, I was told to 'shut up,' and I was also told that I was trying to 'swindle money' from them as well as threatened to have the police called on me for harassment - when I was only trying to resolve a transaction issue. read more

A welcome addition to the area. This place used to be a Po-Boy shop that was pretty good. Pizza is really good by the slice or whole pie. Cheese steak did not blow me away but was very tasty nonetheless. Employees are friendly and polite. read more

Never again! We ordered delivery through Grubhub because our regular place is closed on Sunday. My wife ordered a cheesesteak & I ordered Sausage & pepper parm sub. She said hers was not what she expected & didn't like the cheese. The sausage on mine was in some places hard to find & when I did find some it was thinly sliced or chopped, overcooked & almost crispy. As a 63 year old NY'er of Italian descent I've had my share of sausage parm subs. Steer clear. To top it off I've never had a rancid cannoli before. Thank God we have a classic New Jersey/New York East Coast Pizza place. Sardos has NOTHING on this place. NOTHING. Real "GRANDE" brand Mozzarella (yes, the kind that's stringy, chewy, tastes real...yeah REAL cheese). Crust is thin and done right, sauce, same thing, homemade. Finally stopped at Vinny's since it opened. Have been looking for a place on Largo with decent pizza. . Got the 2 NY slices and a drink for $5. Meatball and other pepperoni/mushroom. Nice size, barely finished. Loved the crispy thin crust. Place small enough where I saw the guy making the fresh pizza orders. For sure will be back and trying other toppings. read more

We tried Vinny's pizza for the first time tonight and I tell you ... hands down this is the absolute BEST pizza around . The sauce is a perfect balance of spice and sweetness and great tomato flavor . The Crust is so good , this nice thin crust that has such a great flavor . Between the sauce and crust , you'd be a happy camper . The toppings just puts this over the top with GOOD QUALITY ingredients . There is actual tomato bits in the pizza sauce . The sausage , excellent sliced italian sausage . What ever you ordered (than you love ) on a pizza , you will get in every bite ! I have had pizza in Chicago , in Detroit .... Vinny's has them all beat . The BEST OF THE BEST , just try it once like I did and you will not be sorry . I had this yesterday. My boyfriend knows I love garlic knots, and he ordered pizza and a side of knots for us to take it down to the boat ramp to watch the sunset. Everything from Vinny's Pizza was amazing. Garlic knots was so much better than Domino's, and the marinara sauce was full of flavor. We ordered it at work all the time. Loved it!! Since it changed owners we have had it a couple times. Pizza was lacking in flavor and also lacking in sauce. The customer service is even worse. Last time I ordered for a delivery at work they couldn't find the address. I work 2 blocks from them!! They called my phone to find me but I was unaware "BECAUSE I WAS WORKING!" When I called them back some man answered and yelled at me because I Didn't answer my phone. Told me that the delivery people didn't have time for this and wanted me to come and pick up my order. I couldn't pick it up!! I gave him my address again. Took him a while to write it down. I wish I would have told him to forget it. It was a waste of $40. Pizza had no flavor and hardly any sauce. Went in the garbage. He's not going to have to worry about delivery drivers being busy for long. Very rude and food is definitely not the same. I will not be ordering again. Grabbed 4 slices on way to the beach and 4 more on the way back. Kids had cheese and loved it, while I had the pan sausage, it was the best slice of pizza I've ever had. Got it twice just to be sure. We moved into the area right behind Vinny's less than a year ago and this place is AWESOME! I'm Italian and my Aunt had a pizza shop years ago, when we were kids, and the sauce here at Vinny's reminds me so much of how my Aunt made hers...it has just the right amount of herbs, nothing overpowering, and you can tell they use fresh roasted tomatoes and cook and simmer it all day. And, the meatballs...*kisses fingers*!, so so good! The pizza is yum and love their garlic knots, I'm a bread junkie and these knots are the best, and the portions they give you are huge! We've ordered several times since moving into this area and will keep ordering from them. This is the type of restaurant you WANT to support, especially now when so many places are struggling...a small family run place that gives you real food, not the frozen junk you get at chain pizza places. I'm just sorry we didn't know about them sooner. I highly recommend Vinny's. read more
