For a long time, I've skipped over this place because of the location and the name. I was under the impression it might just be upscale, "chain pizza." I'm very glad I researched this place better! They put out excellent NY-style pizza here. A perfect crust, sauce you can taste, and plenty of quality toppings. Bravo! While I most often only get take-out, the dine-in area ambiance seems like a great place to grab a beer and eat. As for the service? My pizza was hot and ready upon my arrival. Wanted to try -can't say I tried the pizza but I did try the chicken parm and mozzarella sticks. The honest review --service was very nice -staff and countertop people were friendly -although they were putting away the tables and chairs as it was empty and I ordered take out. The decorations and store were in a strip mall by a gym so not the nicest location to eat anyway: The food --well the mozzarella sticks was no different than something you could cook at home that you got at Publix and the same I felt for the chicken parm which really tasted like chicken tenders with sauce and cheese. For me I rate places like this based on relative quality and taste and it just wasn't there. I would try the pizza next time but something I am not rushing to go back to. read more

We love eating at Brooklyn pizza as opposed to ordering delivery. This night we did delivery and it was really good. Typically, if we get a specialty pizza delivered. The crust is subpar by the time it gets to the house. The cheese pizzas crust does well and is still crispy with delivery. The mamas meatballs are my favorite item on the menu, but this time they were not really warm and the cheese topping was a little tart. So I ended up throwing them away :(. Because this is not my first time at Brooklyn, I'm not giving a lower rating than 4 because I think this may have just been a one off experience. Vacationing in St. Petersburg, FL from Des Moines, IA - our group of 6 included my parents and 3 small grandsons; we were looking for a good local pizza place for dinner. Our hotel shuttle driver recommended this place when we asked for "good pizza with somewhere to sit-down. This place didn't disappoint. It was a 5-10min drive from the hotel. (Holiday Inn Express St Petersburg-Madeira Bch) Restaurant staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Our server brought each of the boys a pizza dough and cutters to play with while we waited. We ordered an order of Honey BBQ wings and a Bronx Bomber pizza. Drinks and wings (delicious crispy but not overdone with just enough sauce) came out 1st to get us going and then the hot delicious pie. We have 3 small children and came here looking to eat some good food after a long flight. We were greeted by a friendly staff that were very welcoming of our three kids. We learned quickly that this must be a special spot. They gave our kids fresh dough and cookie cutters to play with at the table. The food itself was amazing. All made from scratch. Nothing comes in a can, per our server, Tim, who was excellent and very attentive. You can definitely taste the difference. My wife and I split the Godfather Pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious!! So glad I found this pizza spot! Came in on a Friday evening. The restaurant seemed busy but they had a table available for my part of 3. Ambiance was family friendly. Plenty of available seating outside as well. Our waitress was fantastic. We had the garlic knots (yummmm), bruschetta (ok but probably won't get again), and pepperoni pizza (because we're basic). Ordered the Bronx Bomber pizza which has mushrooms and black olives which my wife doesn't like so asked for it on only half. When person on the phone told me the total price it was a bit higher the website price and I asked why. Apparently they bumped their prices and didn't update their website and were also passing on the credit card fee. Certainly they can charge what they want but I didn't appreciate the negative surprises. Then when I got home neither the mushrooms or black olives were cooked. It looks like they threw them on after it came out of the oven. The staff was very nice and placed was very clean as I've experienced in the past. While in St. Pete Beach, we ventured to Seminole, Florida, to visit the Brooklyn Pizza Company. Brooklyn is a locally owned joint whose owner has over 25 years in the pizza business, including time in the UK, and their motto is "They take their pizza seriously." We started with an order of Wings with medium sauce on them. The sauce has a nice light amount of heat. These large wings are meaty, fried perfectly with a nice crunch on the outside, and the meat is juicy on the inside. They are coated well in the sauce, not swimming or drowned. My fiancé and I decided to try the Pepperoni Pizza. As the business name suggests, this is a New York-style thin crust. It has a good cheese melt that offers a decent stretch while not having too much cheese. There was a good deal of toppings offering pepperoni in every bite. The homemade sauce on this pie is a simple marinara in a reasonable amount, and it complements the crust and toppings. The crust has a good flavor and crunch with a nice chew. It offers a good fold without breaking apart. Brooklyn has an extensive menu offering specialty pizzas, wings, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. They also serve beer. The service was amiable, and it was family-friendly. The Fat Man says Brooklyn Pizza Company is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins. read more
