The great peeps at DeLosa's have been tossing pies since the early 80's and I've been a fan since '89. Nestled in Johns Pass Village on Village Blvd @ Boardwalk Place W the restaurant serves great traditional New York Style Pizza, Sicilian Pizza, Oven Roasted Subs, Wings, Calzone, Salads and more. The Italian Sub or Hot Sicilian are delicious! There is a GRATE lil bar at the S end that is well stocked with top shelf Bourbons & Beer. Dine in or Carry-Out the food is great and prices very reasonable. We love their thin crust NY style, the sauce has a great Italian herb flavor and the ingredients are fresh. Stopped by for an early dinner on a cool and windy Monday. We had a medium sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom pizza. Love NY style pizza so we were anxious to try this one. Did not disappoint. All good. We would have like to stop by the bar that's attached, but decided to try that next time. Would recommend and we would even try the wings or a sandwich as they both looked good. Poked my head in here when the rain came on Friday afternoon as I wandered around John's Pass. After I fancy and filling breakfast I was seeking a simple easy late lunch and ended up getting 2 slices and a soda. I liked that each slice could be personalized with toppings and that it was reasonably priced. The staff seemed happy to be at work and even witnessed one provide complementary side of sauce to who I am assuming was a regular customer, they called her by name which makes me think this place does a good business and community connections are important! This pizza is unreal! My family is vacationing and staying nearby so it's about a 4 minute walk to DeLosa's for us. Our first night we ordered and it was amazing. So good that I keep going back for lunch to get single slices! Extra cheese and toppings are a little pricey but it's worth it and so yummy! Staff is extremely nice and fast. Definitely recommend. read more

A local in my group of friends recommended this place, so a group of 8 of us went for dinner on a Thursday. We got there around 7, and there was a staff member walking around the restaurant doing table management and chatting with customers. He was thankfully able to accommodate our group and hold 2 tables. You have to order first in order to claim a table though. Everyone tried different things from the garlic knots, salads, chicken parm to a variety of pizza flavors (veggie, meat crumbles, pepperoni). I appreciated that there was an array of additional spices (oregano, red pepper, parmesan, etc) at each table for us to customize our food to our taste. I got the 16" veggie ($25) and a half dozen garlic knots ($5). Unfortunately it's unclear whether the crust or bread is vegan, but I left the parmesan and cheese off. Still tasted great, and I had the leftovers for lunch the next day. If you are someone who eats the crust, I recommend dipping it in the garlic oil from the garlic knots! Most people took to-go boxes, but we also had room to get ice cream afterwards. Service was overall decent. The guy walking around made a lot of jokes with customers, but maybe because I got there 10 minutes earlier than the rest of my group, he also made some comments that made me feel pressured and called out. Things like: are your friends even coming? And we won't be able to hold a table for you if they don't show up soon. Most of the servers were friendly though and made sure everyone got what they ordered and even kindly took a group picture for us. The lady taking orders at the counter was very efficient but made judgmental comments about my order. There are lots of shops conveniently nearby and a boardwalk to stroll around too. Parking was a hassle but apparently cheap (about $3/person if you carpool). I biked and found a bike rack at the boardwalk just a stone's throw away. There's a bathroom inside that was clean. Also a separate bar area that we didn't check out this time, but they had a selection of teas, beer, and sodas at the counter. read more

Great spot in John's Pass! They have a cute bar top on the side with about twelve seats and a full liquor bar. Very friendly bartender and a few regulars to chat with. They have full restaurant seating and a few outside tables, too. They offer pizza by the slice with any toppings you would like. Full menu selection. I can't wait to go back and try their buffalo chicken salad. Good prices and a neat spot. It deserves 5 stars for staff, price and quality. I just would recommend they heat the individual slices alittle longer to make them hotter is all and to cook peppers. read more

DeLosa's is VERY GOOD ... my husband wished his was cooked a bit more -- the dough was not cooked enough. They have ice cold beer which goes great with pizza! But I love this place, a tried and true great pizza place who supports local little league etc ... I was taken aback at the rudeness of the staff, one in particular. I inquired about ingredients due to food allergy concerns, asked if there was either an online or physical list to see, and was met with "Well I can't show you that!," and walked away after another staff way too casually asked kitchen staff if the specific allergens were in their pizza. If it was a proprietary issue, that could have simply been relayed, and without the ridiculous attitude given by this gentleman. I immediately left with my son. read more

My daughter wanted us to have pizza at least once during this most recent vacation, so of course I had to oblige, she is my sweet beloved! We were being tourists doing our tourist thing here, and decided to pick up a large pie to eat at our hotel balcony overlooking the ocean. We grabbed a couple bottles of beer, our combo pizza and grabbed a Lyft to the hotel. Once we threw on our jammies and situated ourselves for the sunset over the water view, we grabbed a couple slices and munched away! Overall, it did have a nice flavor in the sauce, but man, this pizza barely had any toppings? What's up with such a chintzy cheap hand making this? I barely saw any more than 3 or 4 bitty tiny squares of green pepper or mushroom, and the onions were non existent! So sad. The pepperoni and minced sausage was on the slim side too. Dumbass little girl at the front register should go work at Walmart or something cause she obviously doesn't have a clue what she's doing. Tried to add a beer to my order and she looks at my Military ID and just says "NO". Wouldn't give me an explanation why and just kept saying "NO". I respectfully asked her if the manager who was behind her could take a look at it and she starts huffing and puffing and ignores me and starts taking the next persons order. Service: We were greeted by 2 young girls at the register. They seemed pretty nice. I'm from the west coast, and I don't know if it's just the culture of the east coast, but a smile and kind voice isn't really how people talk here. I've noticed that in customer service, people kind of keep a straight face and monotonous voice while saying, "Thanks have a good one" and don't typically say, "Hi :) what can I get you/how are you?" So, the service was 'alright' to me. If you don't find facial or verbal cues important then you may think differently from me. Food: Pizza was good, I wouldn't say it was anything special, it was thin crusted pizza. We built our own slices so every topping is extra, I forget how many cents -- I think it's $0.50 per topping? So when you get the typical things (like pepperoni, mushrooms, and sausage) on two slices, you might as well have gotten a whole pizza somewhere else. The establishment itself was giving 'busy diner' vibes, and that made sense since it's located in a tourist attraction. Which is also why I understand the cleanliness wasn't perfect, since customers are in-and-out and things are moving at a fast pace. Overall, this place was good but if I visited the boardwalk again, I would only swing by for a quick bite and just do a plain slice so it's actually just a dollar or two. read more

We ordered a large plain cheese pizza and I really wanted to enjoy it more than I did. The crust was tough and it didn't have much cheese, but it worked for three hungry adults who didn't want to wait long for a table or for food. We did have to find our own table and wipe down the dirty table and chairs... and I wouldn't recommend sitting right by the restroom...every time somebody opened the door, the door would hit my chair, arm, or elbow. But the service was very fast and friendly, and it is in such a great location. read more

Well, we decided to walk the 1.5 miles to the John's Pass area since we wanted a boardwalk and dinner for our last night. We settled on pizza and I convinced the crew to go here since the sign on the awning said something along the lines of "the pizza that made John's pass famous". Bold asf on that claim amirite. You order at the counter and then grab a number to put on your table. We had a group of 6 and you can tell it's not the most optimized for larger groups. I ordered a large pepperoni, sausage, and bacon pizza (top). We also shared the 12 garlic knots. The knots were solid, would order again. They poured heavy in the sausage but nothing a little shake couldn't fix. Overall, glad we stopped by as it was a filling meal for not that expensive. Saturday night in John's Pass was packed. This pizza place must have baked 1,000 pies that night. Tables were full, take out line was out the door. We ordered two pizzas and garlic knots online. It took about 45 minutes which wasn't bad considering the crowds. They were both enjoyable but I feel like the ovens were not baking to their standards. Pizza ovens can cool below optimum temps when they're overworked and the result is soft doughy crust. I'm sure this place deserves more stars, maybe on a night when the ovens can do their job better. I met a kid outside who just picked up his order. He told me the first thing they do when they arrive in town is order DeLosa's pizza. That immediately raised the bar for my expectations but again, I feel our pies were cooked well below the optimum temp. I will try again on a weeknight when we return one day. read more

I've seen this place in every video when you pull up Madeira Beach so we had to go here. The staff was very friendly and fast, we had our pizza in no time. It claims to be New York style pizza but I would say not so much. It was hot and had a great crispy crust, they didn't hold back on the toppings so cuddo's for that. Not a bad place for a quick bite. We went on a Dat evening and it was busy and loud. The food didn't take to long to show up. 8 ordered 2 slices fries and bonkess wings. The 2 slices were decent they were clearly reheated but for what it was worth not too bad. The wings were surprisingly pretty good the breathing was crispy and they were cooked hot. The garlic sauce was a little bit oily but overall not bad If you can get a seat it's a nice break while exploring the pass. read more

Horrible. To call this NY pizza is an insult to every NY/NJ pizzeria. The crust though cooked well lacked any flavor. Was like eating cardboard. The sauce was average at best. We ordered meatballs on our slices. No idea if they were meatballs because they were chopped up so much it could have been dog food. A slice with meatballs is actually suppose to have sliced meatballs on it. Give this place an F will never be back read more
