I'm pretty sure this is the best pizza in Treasure Island! They not only do pizza but also some amazing sandwiches! Their location is perfect, since it is so close to the beach. We had a vegetarian pizza one evening--lots of toppings--and another time we stopped for an Italian roast beef sandwich (a hot sub) on a delicious garlic-buttered roll that is accompanied with marinara sauce for the sandwich dip. Excellent, and it was big enough to split the sandwich comfortably. This establishment was closed last year due to the hurricane damage, but they are back! Sadly they closed so we decided to give Original Pizza a try. Ordered a medium Sicilian pizza. Took one bite and had to spit it out! Was I eating a dessert? Sauce and limply crust were so sweet Just plain awful. I get it, that it's had to get the crust right down here, but this was NOT pizza. I don't know what it was! Was in the area for work. Found this place online reviews seemed decent. I had pizza one evening and then the next day I ordered a sub. The pizza was not bad but it could've been cooked a little longer. They seem to be in a bit of a rush because I came in 20 minutes before closing. My biggest issue is that they charge you for every little thing. My sub came with the basics of lettuce, tomato mayonnaise and onion but if you wanted to add pickles, it was $1.05 if you wanted to add anything extra cheese extra mayonnaise olives each thing was $1.05. I ordered online so I couldn't really see what I was ordering and I ordered a bag of potato chips to go with the sub for two dollars when I went to pick up my food. I was quite shocked that for a 1 ounce bag of potato chips, the really small bag that is usually complementary they charge two dollars for. Holy smokes! Not sure what happened to this place in the two years since we moved further south. We came to visit St Pete this weekend and were very excited to get our favorite pizza from this place. What a huge disappointment!!! First, it was going to take 45 minutes for delivery which would have been fine...It had been an hour, I called to find out where the pizza was and the extremely RUDE and abrasive woman on the other end told me that "Uber" had delivered it to our hotel and our room...No, they did not deliver it to our hotel or room we are staying in. My husband checked on all five floors...No pizza. He then went down to the front desk to inquire about a pizza delivery...Nope, they never had one stop in the lobby (and the other outer doors are secured). So after calling the store back, I got the same RUDE and abrasive woman on the phone who told me that she'd have it remade. It's already after 9, we told her fine please do that's (we were starving at this point). When I started asking some questions in regards to the delivery, she got angry and defensive and told me that she wasn't going to make another pizza and that she would issue a refund (we had to pay in advance, again, which is fine but we never received our product)...I then asked for her name, refused to give that up (guilty!) and said that there was no manager on at that moment and she would make sure he calls me in the morning. Again, card was charged, no pizza was actually delivered to this hotel (fraud! And we let our bank know immediately about the fraudulent charge), and no customer service was given. I would stay as far away from this place as possible!! Never again! We called a different pizza place down the road, got our new pizza in 35 minutes (delivered by an actual employee not "Uber") and it was delicious and we will be ordering there moving forward when we come into town. If she just would have been decent, we would give this place a second chance while in town but having such a rude woman answer the phone and not be empathetic is not someone I want to deal with nor would I employ at my business. read more

Very happy that they reopened (Helene flooding) after almost 10 months. Their menu has expanded from before: salads, sandwiches, Strombolis, calzones , pastas, etc. Their Pizzas, which we ordered previously, are as good as we remember. They're only 5 minutes from home. So happy I found this pizza place (and also not because I want to order from here way more than I should). I typically get a small pizza with onions and sausage and their breadsticks. Both are fantastic. This is true NY style pizza which is why I love it. If you don't like NY style pizza this probably isn't for you. If you think costco pizza is amazing then this pizza probably isn't for you. The sauce is delicious on the pizza and for breadstick dipping. It's my fav pizza place in st pete. Put in an order for a large cheese pizza. They do have an extra large, but im cautious on my first attempt. I tend to gauge a place by ordering a plain cheese. The large ran about $21. It tasted great. The cheese was firm and seasoned atop a sweeter tomato sauce. The cheese fit over the pie like a weighted blanket. The crust was thin, crispy and maintained a flexible chewy consistency. Combined with the cheese it was a pleasantly bendy experience. Sweetness of the sauce danced with the seasoning of the rest of it. Overall this is a great place to pick up a pie! I'll definitely be back to stretch my eyes across the rest of the menu. We called up for a delivery for lunch yesterday to our condo rental just a few blocks away. They had no delivery person available. We went to pick up our pizza order in person instead (plain cheese pizza). The pizza was soggy and dripping in oil. It can definitely be improved, less oil and a little more cooking of the crust. We put in our order for 3 large pizzas and 2 salads at 5:30pm for 6:45pm pick up. Pizza had very few toppings on our supreme and only about half of the pepperoni you'd normally get anywhere else. Very little sauce on pizza, under cooked and was cold when we got back to our condo. A 3 minute drive. Sad! Prices were a bit overpriced for the quality we received. Service was fine, but could have been better. We will continue to go a better pizza joint located in John's Pass. This is the best pizza in Treasure Island, or anywhere nearby, for that matter. The extra cheese was truly EXTRA and every melted strand was delicious. The pepperoni had perfect spice and the crust held just enough moisture to allow a New York style fold. Super flavorful and piping hot. We used to rave and look forward to a certain coal fired pie, which is very good, but to-date, simply can't hold a candle to Original Pizza. We'll be back before the trip's over. read more

This is the best pizza shops on the beach, I have been coming to this same location since I was a small kid, they are still at the exact location and the quality is always there. If you go to the pizza chains off the beach and then try a pizza here at Original Pizza, you wont ever want to eat at a chain again, there is that much of a difference. You would think there would be a large price difference between a chain pizza and this homemade style original pizza, but not at all, the prices here are very reasonable. This is take-out and not an inside dining room to eat, so its ideal for the tourists staying here to walk back to their hotel with a pizza pie or calzone. read more

Unassuming, small shop located in a strip mall across from the Bilmar Beach Resort with a tattoo parlor, a sweets shop and a bar among others. No flashiness and only a couple tables and benches but don't let that stop you. Sometimes the best places are the least assuming. Simple is great here. We walked in, ordered cheese sticks and a medium sausage pizza. Within 20 minutes we were out the door back to the room. The pizza crust was that balance of thin doneness and chewy.
