I'm pretty sure this is the best pizza in Treasure Island! They not only do pizza but also some amazing sandwiches! Their location is perfect, since it is so close to the beach. We had a vegetarian pizza one evening--lots of toppings--and another time we stopped for an Italian roast beef sandwich (a hot sub) on a delicious garlic-buttered roll that is accompanied with marinara sauce for the sandwich dip. Excellent, and it was big enough to split the sandwich comfortably. This establishment was closed last year due to the hurricane damage, but they are back! Very happy that they reopened (Helene flooding) after almost 10 months. Their menu has expanded from before: salads, sandwiches, Strombolis, calzones , pastas, etc. Their Pizzas, which we ordered previously, are as good as we remember. They're only 5 minutes from home. So happy I found this pizza place (and also not because I want to order from here way more than I should). I typically get a small pizza with onions and sausage and their breadsticks. Both are fantastic. This is true NY style pizza which is why I love it. If you don't like NY style pizza this probably isn't for you. If you think costco pizza is amazing then this pizza probably isn't for you. The sauce is delicious on the pizza and for breadstick dipping. It's my fav pizza place in st pete. It is unfortunate thaylt you can't order by the slice but I still think it's worth 5 stars. I order it online and pick it up. Never had any issues. read more

Came by this place after an afternoon at the beach. Appetites were strong and eyes were wide after all that sun and swimming. What caught my eye was the cute Italian flag sign, effortlessly blended in the plaza amongst the bright signs of other places. Looks really low key so I knew it would be a good choice. Has a very down home, hole-in-the-wall feel. A true "Mom n Pops" pizza joint vibe. You can see the pizza artists in the back. No software involved, the front end server just hollers to them. Walked in and was greeted with a-lot of excitement which only amplified the appetites. Felt like a regular even though it was the first time. Smiles always go a long way. Put in an order for a large cheese pizza. They do have an extra large, but im cautious on my first attempt. I tend to gauge a place by ordering a plain cheese. The large ran about $21. It tasted great. The cheese was firm and seasoned atop a sweeter tomato sauce. The cheese fit over the pie like a weighted blanket. The crust was thin, crispy and maintained a flexible chewy consistency. Combined with the cheese it was a pleasantly bendy experience. Sweetness of the sauce danced with the seasoning of the rest of it. Overall this is a great place to pick up a pie! I'll definitely be back to stretch my eyes across the rest of the menu. It was ok, but I guess it works if you're at the beach. If you like paper towel thin crust, then this is the place for you. Sauce was pretty bland. Even the pineapple we got on one of the pies seemed lacking in taste. The Sicilian pizza had a good thick crust, but was almost burnt. read more

We called up for a delivery for lunch yesterday to our condo rental just a few blocks away. They had no delivery person available. We went to pick up our pizza order in person instead (plain cheese pizza). The pizza was soggy and dripping in oil. It can definitely be improved, less oil and a little more cooking of the crust. We put in our order for 3 large pizzas and 2 salads at 5:30pm for 6:45pm pick up. Pizza had very few toppings on our supreme and only about half of the pepperoni you'd normally get anywhere else. Very little sauce on pizza, under cooked and was cold when we got back to our condo. A 3 minute drive. Sad! Prices were a bit overpriced for the quality we received. Service was fine, but could have been better. We will continue to go a better pizza joint located in John's Pass. This is the best pizza shops on the beach, I have been coming to this same location since I was a small kid, they are still at the exact location and the quality is always there. If you go to the pizza chains off the beach and then try a pizza here at Original Pizza, you wont ever want to eat at a chain again, there is that much of a difference. You would think there would be a large price difference between a chain pizza and this homemade style original pizza, but not at all, the prices here are very reasonable. This is take-out and not an inside dining room to eat, so its ideal for the tourists staying here to walk back to their hotel with a pizza pie or calzone. read more

This is the best pizza in Treasure Island, or anywhere nearby, for that matter. The extra cheese was truly EXTRA and every melted strand was delicious. The pepperoni had perfect spice and the crust held just enough moisture to allow a New York style fold. Super flavorful and piping hot. Unassuming, small shop located in a strip mall across from the Bilmar Beach Resort with a tattoo parlor, a sweets shop and a bar among others. No flashiness and only a couple tables and benches but don't let that stop you. Sometimes the best places are the least assuming. Simple is great here. We walked in, ordered cheese sticks and a medium sausage pizza. Within 20 minutes we were out the door back to the room. The pizza crust was that balance of thin doneness and chewy.
