The Last Slice Pizza parlor Has opened up just blocks away from my house. So I thought I should check it out since I'm a Chicago Pizza loving person. Any of you who have read my reviews of pizza places, you know by now that I'm always searching for Chicago style pizza. And I've mostly been disappointed. Well I'm here to say that The Last Slice is not Chicago style pizza but it's the best pizza I've had here in Florida that hasn't been Chicago style pizza! I ordered the carnivore. It has lots of sausage, bacon, ham, and pepperoni. Also included in my carry out were plenty of packages of Parmesan and hot pepper flakes. I didn't bother taking a picture of the pizza itself since the ones already on the Yelp page are spot on. Yelpers who check in also get 15% off their order! UPDATE: The pre-opening offer of 15% off has been removed.

Carnivore plus bbq sauce, pineapple and jalapeños.

I'm from Jacksonville and I can say with confidence that this pizza is better than every place I've had in JAX. SOOOO GOOD!! The crust was crispy outside and soft inside, exactly how you want it to be.

I go here on my lunch break. Pretty good wings. I got the 5 wings and fries for $10. Could use a little more fries but a good amount of food for a non glutinous meal. $4 single slices are legit. 2 slices and a drink for $8 is a great deal but to much food for me for one sitting. Good enough to not be able to snap a pic before I start eating .

Our new go to Pizza spot! High quality toppings and dough. The pepperonis curl up and char perfectly. The Ceasars salad we ordered had a homemade dressing that was great! Very cute and clean inside. A MUST try. We need to keep great places like this around.

I keep hearing you can't get good pizza in Florida. Well let me tell you, if you're looking for a good slice you've found it here! Some of the best crust I've ever had. Super fresh and those pepperoni cups? Cmon! $8 for 2 huge slices and a drink. Can't beat it. Service is fast and friendly. Seating can be a little crowded if they're busy but it's worth it.

This place is Phenomenal! If you are Pizza Fan boy. And love watching the Portnoy Reviews this is a 8.2 no doubt. I wish they were on the One Bite App! Not only is the Pizza great but so is everything on their menu.

Gluten free Pit Mastwr with added pineapple.

The food was amazing. Best gluten free pizza I have ever had. The crust was nit burnt and it was still crispy the way I love it. What a great find while in vacation. The staff was amazing as well. Finally and friendly! We will be back!

Great new pizza place. Got pepperoni and the deluxe pizza.

I saw Violet Stone on social media commercial and it looked good on the commercial. Went there…read moreexcited to get a cheesesteak like I saw on the commercial. I ordered the cheesesteak with onions. I also ordered some cheese sticks. My wife ordered a pizza. The following is one guy's opinion: 1. My cheesesteak with onions was terrible. They used a weird type of bread with sesame seeds on it. It was kind of hard too. Also, it was way too much bread for a cheesesteak in my opinion. It was a really bad choice to wrap cheesesteak with. The chopped onions on the cheesesteak looked gray. The whole thing just looked unappetizing. As I feared, the bread doesn't compliment the cheesesteak. I only ate about a quarter of it and took the rest to go. To their credit, the restaurant does have a sign that says if the food is a flop, to return it. I didn't. I don't like telling restaurants that their food sucks. I just don't come back. I took it home hoping to find a homeless person to give it to, but didn't see anyone so I threw it away. 2. My wife is a cheese stick fanatic. She's always looking for the perfect cheese stick. However, the cheese sticks here also were disappointing. The breading on it was too thick and didn't taste good. I think it was a bit overdone on the outside, but not done on the inside. The cheese inside was not melted or close to being soft or slightly melted. It was the consistency of a piece of cheese that was left out at room temperature, soft, but not melty as a cheese stick should be. It was merely a warm piece of cheese wedge covered in a breading that also didn't have much flavor. I think it's because they were overly done. They were on the darker bitter side that you get from frying something too hot and fast yet the cheese was not soft. Were they frozen and that's why they cooked that way? I don't know, seems that way. 3. My wife liked her pizza. I had a slice because the cheesesteak was a fail for me. The pizza was ok. Nothing special. They do their pizza "well done". For some it may be too well done. My wife likes her pizza well done so she liked it. The place was also expensive for what it is and I felt kinda cheated for spending almost $70.00 (not including tip) for two drinks, a crappy sub, a small pizza, and some cheese sticks. I went, I saw, I conquered, but won't be back. Sorry violet stone. Go check out your competition and change some things.

The garlic bread tower absolutely deserves the hype. Same with the mini rigatoni and meatballs. Very rich, very comforting, very "I'll just have one bite" and suddenly your plate is gone. Also already convinced I need to go back for the chicken Milanese and ricotta donuts because apparently everyone leaves emotionally attached to them. The whole place has that upscale-but-still-fun energy where dinner somehow turns into staying way longer than planned. Perfect for a girls night, date night, or honestly just wanting to feel a little main character for a few hours. Definitely one of those places that reminds you St. Pete's food scene is getting dangerously good. Parking tho... either valet or good luck

So when my brother (a local) told me to hit Joey Brooklyn's on a Saturday night, I was skeptical... until I walked in and saw the line out the door. That alone told me everything I needed to know. Ordered a large sausage & ricotta pie over the phone for pickup. The combo sounded weird to me at first, but trust the locals -- the sweet Italian sausage paired with big dollops of creamy ricotta is straight-up addictive. The crust is thin, crisp on the bottom, foldable but not floppy, with just the right amount of char. Sauce has that perfect tangy kick, cheese is applied with a generous hand, and every bite screams Brooklyn. We demolished the box in the living room while a UFC card played -- grease-stained napkins, cold beers, and zero regrets. Exactly how pizza nights should go. If you're in St. Petersburg and craving an honest-to-God New York slice (or a whole pie that eats like the ones up north), quit scrolling and look no further than Joey Brooklyn's. Late-night hours are a bonus, the staff hustles, and the pizza kicks absolute ass. Like the UFC fights! Already counting down the days till my next visit. Well done, guys.
