I realized I had two days left to use my quarterly Resy credit, so I started looking through the app for somewhere in St. Pete to use it. I saw OLIVIA and also realized their tableside chicken parm that had been all over social media was about to end, so I figured why the heck not and headed over. I've actually been to OLIVIA locations in South Florida years ago, and at the time I remember thinking it was good but not quite worth the price. After seeing so many good reviews of the St. Pete location and videos of cheese going on chicken parm plates, I figured it was time to give it another shot. For cocktails, I tried the Sicilian Lemonade, which was excellent. It had a really nice lemon flavor without being overly sweet, and I'd definitely order it again. For food, I started with the Caesar salad, which I found out was deconstructed. It tasted great and the presentation is nice, although the tower falls apart pretty quickly once you start eating it, so plan your attack accordingly. My only complaint was that mine had very little dressing. I definitely don't like an overdressed Caesar, but this was almost the opposite extreme. The tableside chicken parm was the highlight. The chicken itself was great quality, the breading wasn't too heavy, and having the cheese obviously makes for a great presentation, but it also genuinely tasted really good. I added a side of cacio e pepe, which paired perfectly with it, along with the garlic bread. The garlic bread was fantastic and is worth noting. I finished with the olive oil cake. It was very moist and tasted good, although I was expecting the flavor to be a little more distinctive given that it's an olive oil cake. It mostly tasted like a really well-made, moist slice of cake to me. Good, but probably not something I'd specifically come back for. Overall, this visit definitely changed my opinion of OLIVIA compared with my experiences years ago. I came to The Olivia in St. Petersburg after seeing multiple videos featuring their tableside Chicken Parmesan, and I'm happy to say it absolutely lived up to the hype! We started with drinks, ordering the recommended Serenata and an Aperol Spritz. The Spritz was perfectly balanced with just the right ratio of Aperol and Prosecco. For an appetizer, we tried the Brussels sprouts, which were delicious. The crispy prosciutto added a great savory touch and complemented the dish really well. For dinner, we shared the tableside Chicken Parmesan, which was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was every bit the internet sensation I had seen online. Just a heads-up: the Chicken Parmesan does not come with pasta, so we ordered a dinner portion of the Tortiglioni to go with it. Between the Chicken Parmesan and pasta, there was more than enough food for the two of us to comfortably share. Our waitress, Elenora, was fantastic throughout the evening. She was extremely helpful with recommendations and offered great suggestions for both drinks and dinner without ever being pushy. I really wish I could give this place 5 stars, because our server was wonderful! I wish I could remember his name because he truly did a great job. Unfortunately, one part of our experience left me extremely disappointed. Our food took quite a while to come out, and at one point I decided to run to the restroom. Of course, that ended up being exactly when our chicken parm arrived...you know, the viral dish that was honestly one of the main reasons I wanted to come here! Since I missed it being served, my date tried to quickly pull out his phone to get a video for me. The person who brought out our food told him that he wasn't going to wait for him to get his phone out, which was really disappointing. I understand they're busy and need to keep things moving, but considering the presentation and experience surrounding this dish is such a big part of its popularity, I wish he could have spared just a few seconds. I guess you could argue that I shouldn't have gone to the bathroom, but after waiting so long for our food, I didn't think stepping away for a minute would be an issue. Since we were staying with family at the beach for a week, hubby and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at Olivia, St. Pete location. Olivia is a modern restaurant with delicious food. We have been to the Tampa location many times but never to the St. Pete location. We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Olivia. When we sat down there was a note on the table wishing us a Happy Anniversary which was a nice touch. Also, the server greeted us with two glasses of prosecco which was really thoughtful. Our server was Nicole who was sweet and attentive. The manager also came over to wish us a happy anniversary which was sweet. For my cocktail I had the Sicilian Lemonade which I always enjoy. For dinner we shared the Honey & Ham Pizza which is described as truffle honey, speck ham, taleggio, scallion. It is incredibly delicious! Then we shared the Squid Ink Casarecce which is described as shrimp, lobster brodo, fresno chili, soppressata salami, scallions. It also was incredibly delicious! I've been watching viral videos of the tableside chicken Parmesan, for months now. I mean, chicken Parmesan is good, but how good can it really be? Well, it was absolutely the best I've ever had! The breading was crisp and light without being dense, and the cheese and sauce topping was delicious, to die for! My friend and I ordered the short ribs entrée, and for me, nothing can normally be better than short ribs! But the chicken Parm was really really good and I enjoyed it and all of its flavors and textures more than the short ribs! The atmosphere was lively and buzzing with a really positive vibe. We didn't have reservations, so we arrived promptly at 5:00 p.m. and were lucky enough to grab two seats at the bar, which is first come, first served. Maeva and Christina never seemed to stop moving; giving recommendations, crafting cocktails, checking on guests, and somehow keeping everyone's glasses full while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. The food is absolutely something to rave about. I honestly wanted to order one of everything on the menu. The garlic bread may sound like a simple starter, but it's anything but ordinary. The salmoriglio, roasted garlic, fresh parmesan, and crisp texture come together to create something that's incredibly satisfying. I only planned to have a couple bites before my meal, but I ended up eating a couple pieces. Also, the meatballs are worth trying as well. They had moisture, flavor and the tomato sauce sealed the deal. To drink, I started with a classic Negroni and later enjoyed a Last Word with my entrée. Both cocktails were exceptionally well balanced and paired beautifully with the food. For my main course, I ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly and served over a creamy herbed risotto with romanesco and piquillo peppers. The crispy slice of prosciutto added the finishing touch, bringing just the right amount of texture and saltiness to the dish. Everything fit together beautifully and tasted every bit as good as it looked. I cleaned the plate as best as I could. To finish the evening, I enjoyed a shot of espresso and a scoop of gelato--a fitting way to end an Italian meal. It's easy to see why Olivia stays consistently busy. Between the exceptional service, thoughtfully crafted cocktails, and outstanding food, they've built something special. I'd love to visit their Tampa location to compare the two, but I'll gladly return to this location again and again. You use a fig dip and a soft cheese dip for them. Order it! The pasta is all home made and cooked to a perfect aldente texture. The 24 hrs bilognese was fantastic. I tried everyone's food and its all excellent. The chicken parm done at the table is huge and can be shared by two people easily. This place gets a 10 out of 10 and is the best dinning experience I've had in a while. Service, food, atmosphere, and everything else was perfect. Well worth the price of the food. We had 4 people and we left stuffed and spent $173 with several apps and several alcoholic drinks. They do add a 15% tip automatically which our server was clear to point out. Our waitress Savannah was very friendly and had good recommendations. We ordered meatballs for our appetizer, cacio e Pepe and the short rib agnolotti for our entree, and cannolis and espresso for dessert. The sauce was delicious on the meatballs and the meatballs themselves were tender and decent. Makes it with Vodka sauce. It tastes fine, but would be better with just marinara (all of us decided that).... Wife had frito misto and enjoyed it too. It is an app, but plenty of food for one small gal. Then ordered desert... very nice they brought us out mini-cannolis for our birthday. We ordered the Tiramisu. It did not come out cold and they put a big glob of choc mousse on top..... who needs that if the tiramisu is good. But the Tiramisu we all decided was not very good. So now the bill comes....When you get the bill they add 15% service fee on there.... for what? The back of house, part is a tip and the rest are owner trying to gouge you so you feel you should give another 20%. I truly hate this..... Look if this is what you expect then charge me $2 more for the dinner... charge me another $1 for the drink.... etc. This is not right. When will you ask me if I went to the bathroom and add $1. All of this is getting out of hand. But here is the coup de gras. So we leave and our friends had valeted. We asked the waiter if they validate and he said yes, I think you get $5.00 off. So we get out there and the valet says... oh yes you get $5.00 off. So my friend hands him $10. NO, it is really $20. But you get $5. off when you eat...... For entrées, we ordered the chicken Milanese and the veal parmigiana. The veal parmigiana was a great size, I think it could even be shared. We thought that the goat cheese on the chicken Milanese would be on top of the salad, but they actually put it on top of the pieces of chicken. If you're not the biggest fan of goat cheese, I recommend asking for it on the side, as there was a lot. The service was amazing, and our waiter was extremely professional. Olivia -- your food was a dream I can't stop thinking about the food and the flavors. A collection of diverse salad ingredients delicately piled to the heavens. My partner had a delicious pizza, too, and the slices were fairly large! The crust was salted well and I enjoyed the garlic crunch and hot honey. Next to the pasta, the Tuscan Kale salad was my favorite dish. So many textures were bursting alongside each other -- the crunch of the fresh kale and lettuce, the silk of shaved fresh mozzarella, the heat of the banana peppers. The salami and peppers added a salty, hearty element that I loved. This is definitely one of the most unique and memorable salads I've ever had. The restaurant was slightly noisy depending on where you're seated, but not so bad you can't have a conversation. The gratuity note caught me off guard. It's a quirk for sure. Overall: LOVE.
