    Mozzarella caprese salad.

This is a great little "mom-n-pop pizza" place that should and will serve the surrounding neighborhood very well, but it's not ready for prime time. On this particular Friday night, I was joined with a group of about 12 people. I feel that we probably overwhelmed the small place, so I won't focus on the negative too much. The place is tucked away on the side of a little strip-mart, so you wouldn't even know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The owner, Tony, has done a great job updating the outside & inside to elevate the look to be more than your average pizza joint, so kudos for the effort. Inside, there is seating, perfect for families, and they even accommodated our large group without any issue. I will say that, at least at the time that we were there, the dinning area was uncomfortably hot, and it only got worse when the oven was on. I believe that much of my group's complaints would have been nonexistent or at least overlooked if it were not for the unbearable heat that we endured. The owner Tony is a wonderful host, and took time to greet and introduce himself to everyone that came in. His staff, on the other hand, were very young, very nice but still have not mastered the art of hospitality. I'm not sure if the staff were family or not, but I know that finding good help can be difficult, and I won't judge the establishment too much on staff alone. I'm sure that with a little experience, his servers and help will be wonderful one day. And again I will mention that we had a huge group, along with all their walk-in traffic and another family dinning in. THE FOOD Since we had so many people, we were able to order lots of different items from their robust menu. I had a HOT ITALIAN SUB, (I am always looking for the ultimate Italian sub) and I would say it was "O-kay". It needed some zesty peppers, parm, oregano or something to make it pop. It was not horrible, but relied too much on the meats to carry the flavor. The hoagie roll was very nice. My wife ordered the double-crust white pizza with spinach & tomato, and she also ordered the mozzarella caprese salad. The salad was interesting, but again lacked the flavor. It needed a tad more balsamic drizzle over the cheese and tomatoes. The pizza tasted as impressive as it looked, and the small size was hearty enough to feed a family. My wife combined the caprese salad with her pizza bites and created something truly special. Other guests in our party ordered Baked ZitI, Meatballs, Stromboli and a custom pepperoni roll which were all handled and served in a somewhat timely fashion considering our large party and their small staff. The overall consensus among the group was that the food was better than "okay". The true star of all the food that we ordered was the massive Sicilian pizza. It was delicious and big enough to serve a football team. SUMMARY If you live in the immediate area, I would suggest that you give Cafe Classico Express a try. Several people in my neighborhood have tried it and RAVE about the authenticity and deliciousness of everything they have ordered. I wish the the owner and his staff much success with this great little place.

Amazing pizza, and I'm very picky when it comes to my pizza. The crust can stand alone with its amazing flavor. The owner made the pizza and was very friendly. Yelp had the wrong phone number for them, so use google to look it up.

A…read moregroup of six of us stopped in on Friday night and were amazed at how different the place felt. Same decor, same tables but, it definitely had a positive upbeat atmosphere, it hasn't had in several years. We met the current owner who stopped by each table checking in and making sure patrons were satisfied. Our server was sharp, he knew the menu well, he knew what the ingredients were and he knew how things were prepared. We were a bit concerned when he took our orders because he didn't write anything down but, everything came out perfectly. He checked on us several times and made sure we had everything we needed. Our food was absolutely, spot on delicious.Sandwiches were large and filling and expertly prepared as though some little grandma was preparing them. The dinners were large and well seasoned, needing a box for leftovers. The pizza was the star of the show, thin, crispy crust with toppings edge to edge and flavor that was as robust as anything in Chicago. The sausage had that scrumptious fennel taste that distinguishes it from any other place in the country that, and the fact it's cut into squares. Having lived in Chicago over 20 years, it was an awesome experience when requesting the gahlick and the 'regano and it came out in shakers. That really seals the deal!! The only thing missing from this place compared to those in Chicago was the addition of ordering homemade creamy garlic salad dressing on the salad. All in all, this place is top notch, give it a try and tell Joe, Jack sent ya!!

I do have my go to's, but I am always looking for a new fave to add to my list. I even follow a FB group for Chicago pizza in Florida. Unfortunately, this is not it. Yes the thin crust is it and the square pieces yes, but the crust is a no bc there's no flavor. There's no sauce. Which even with adding sauce on the side it didn't do much for it. It's just a crunchy piece of dough with a lack of sauce and cheese and Hawaiian. So I will stick with my nearby fave which still crosses off the boxes and is made to perfection - Paul's Chicago Pizza in Clearwater for thin crust. I do see there are locations for Little Italian in Naperville IL, which I always frequented, but this for sure is not it right here. For some maybe, but not in my family. Still this is a nice location inside. Spacious, full of light, comfortable, and friendly service. Check them out and see what you think.

I ordered a large cheese pizza and…read morechicken alfredo fettuccine, and both dishes were extremely underwhelming and honestly unpleasant. The menu claims the food is "made from scratch," but that was very hard to believe. The pizza sauce tasted like it came straight from a can, with absolutely no visible seasoning or flavor. It was bland and tasted processed. The chicken alfredo fettuccine also tasted artificial, nothing like a fresh or homemade alfredo sauce. It lacked the rich, creamy flavor you would expect from a scratch-made dish. What made the situation worse was the customer service. When I politely brought the issue to their attention and explained that the food did not taste fresh, they refused to take the food back or make it right. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or show any concern for the customer's experience. Unfortunately, between the poor food quality and lack of customer service, I would not recommend this restaurant. There are far too many places that value quality and their customers to spend money here.

No big deal for a bigger pie, actually. One thing I neglected to mention about the toppings on this thing...they are fresh! No canned mushrooms or soggy pepper chunks on this bad boy. Again, the veggies are plentiful and there's enough protein (sausage, pepperoni and mutz) to keep the flavor going. I know Westshore just up the street uses canned veggies on their pies...yet another valid reason to stay away from there. Now here's an interesting side note...I made the call to place the order. For a split second I thought I dialed the wrong number. A lady with a thick Asian accent answered and I had to slow down a bit to make sure I understood her and conveyed my own information properly. When I get there to pick up, indeed an Asian lady (Vietnamese, actually) was behind the counter running the place. I usually get the owner himself, but he wasn't anyplace in the small store. This time, meanwhile, their newest menu was plastered onto the pizza box. One of the oddities I noticed in the appetizer section of their menu is "Vietnamese Egg Rolls." I'd seen it previously but thought nothing of it. So putting two and two together I figured out that Mrs. Owner was in charge today! Now the egg roll app makes a lil more sense! So the big thing out of all this is what I'd said previously...I am glad to support these local "little guy" operations. I'm particularly proud to do so when I see a hard working couple running an operation like this rather than filling some third party's pocket. She was a very nice, polite lady, much as her husband is a well mannered man. Both are friendly and solicitous, and they know how to make a mean pie. I highly recommend them; I would just get it to go, because the shop itself wins no prize at all.
