Shrinky dinky Reuben. Not much for $13.
Tom P.

The food here is good. I got a hot Reuben sandwich last time. Was surprised how small it was. It was good, but gone in a few minutes. I could have easily eaten two of them. Shrink-flation.

Ehhhhh. Drove out for a couple Reuben sandwiches. They were mediocre. I wouldn't recommend. Microwaved and the bread stuck to the paper. Decent flavor but not something I would eat or order again Three stars because it was edible. Apparently their BBQ is good

We stopped at Vineburg Deli in Sonoma and I ordered a create your own sandwich. It was fresh and delicious with soft bread, plenty of meat, and crisp veggies that made it really satisfying. The sandwich came out to about $15, which honestly isn't bad, especially in Sonoma where prices can run much higher. The customer service here is excellent, the staff are friendly and quick, and they make the whole experience enjoyable. While there is no indoor seating, they do have outdoor tables available which are perfect on a nice day. Overall, Vineburg Deli is a great local spot for a hearty sandwich at a fair price with outstanding service!

Hot Tri tip sandwich
M B.

I got their hot tri tip special sandwich as is and I must say it's got to be one of the most flavorful sandwiches I've had. Their Dutch crutch bread is not too filling or thick. Easy to take a bite. The meat portion was very generous. And whatever sauce they have just binds the sandwich together. The staff got my order correct and super helpful. Friendly team working. The deli is clean and organized. I can't wait to try more from Their menu.

When we couldn't find the taco truck we were looking for we gave this deli a try. All in all was a good experience. The staff were quite friendly and the prices reasonable. I had the veggie sandwich which was packed with goodies & quite delicious. There are some cute areas to dine outside- which we did. It was very cold tho & heat lamps weren't working. I'd come back if I was in the area.

Location location location value. This great little deli is at the crossroads of hunger and happiness. When driving out in the countryside, you are only looking for a few things when hunger takes hold of you--quantity and cost, and this place has both in spades. Right at the crossroads, this deli has all the charm of a country store with the benefit of an amazing selection of deli favorites. Cost is low (for Sonoma), the sandwiches are packed, and the service is friendly. Make this a new pit stop on your roadtrips.

The food truck is awesome!

I have homes in Hawaii and Napa - this is one of my favorite places to visit and grab some amazing food. Coming from Hawaii where there is guava smoke and other great BBQ, this place is just as good! The truck is delicious as is the Deli. The BBQ at this place is flat out fire I forgot to take pictures of the food because it barely made it to the table before we all cracked it open and hooved it down All the love and Aloha to this place - everyone is amazing and friendly. The vibes are what makes this place, the pit master is straight up funny!

Ordered a breakfast burrito with a coffee that came out to be $19.00. Extremely overpriced for a potato filled burrito.

Must try the sandwiches. They don't miss. If you pick any special sandwich from the menu it'll be one of the best you have ever tried.

Hot pastrami.

Driven by a dozen times at least...finally I stopped. Great little deli with daily specials. Tons of drinks and chips to choice from. Nice simple deli sandwiches. I stopped on a Friday and their special was a 1/2 pound bbq bacon cheese burger.

We have driven past this spot so many times without stopping in and that was the biggest mistake! These are real deal deli sandwiches! Great prices and stuffed to the brim with meat and toppings. I went with my basic turkey and cheddar but it was great! Let's take a moment for the pickles. They were crunchy good deli dill pickles.Perfect for sandwich topping. The tomatoes were nice and fresh and had some crunch to them. And did I mention that there were 2 slices of cheese!!! A deli after my own heart. To order your sandwich fill out a sandwich slip to your exact specifications. You can build your own or there are signature sandwiches you can choose from off the boards. They do smoke their own meat 5 days a week outdoors and next stop I am going to try the tritip!

There is a reason why this place has won best sandwich in Sonoma for the last ten years…read more We are tourists, we came here TWICE for lunch but I wouldn't have minded if we also came for breakfast and dinner hahahaha. You go all the way back to the deli, grab a paper and pen and fill out the sheet on how you want your sandwich. Then place it on the counter and they stick it in line. Sandwiches take a few minutes especially if you want it hot or toasted. If you want a burrito or some special not on the paper, just announce it to them and they'll make a paper and put it in line. They put a ton of meat of the sandwiches. We were very pleased. I went with the cucumber which was 0.50 extra so my sandwich was $15.99. My husband got the pesto which is also an extra charge. They forgot the pesto but we took the sandwich to go, so we didn't realize that. The next time we got lunch, I had the burrito and it needed salsa or hot sauce. Luckily, we ate outside in the covered seating area and I was able to go back in to get hot sauce AND the pesto sauce they forgot a second time. What is it about the pesto that they forget? They offered to remake the sando but I said no just gimme a side. Apparently there is hot sauce by the microwave FYI. The store has all kinds of drinks and snacks. We grabbed two small bags of chips. They also have premade meals for lunch dinner and even breakfast. Everything looked so good. If I lived there, I would shop all the time. They have a butcher shop as well. There is a small bathroom around the back for customers. And a sink in the covered eating area to wash your hands. Parking is along the street or their little lot. Check this place out. It's not fancy. But is sure is good.

We saw the sign in front of the building which said they had award winning sandwiches, so we thought we'd give it a try. We entered and found our way to the deli counter where we were greeted by a sandwich maker. Once we made our choice--ham and turkey with provolone on crusty white sourdough bread with mayo, pickles, lettuce and tomato, we waited for the assembly. While waiting we pondered grabbing a pasta salad from the tasty looking assortment on the shelf to accompany our sandwich but in the end opted for a container of local California strawberries, and chips (plain for the hubs and oil and vinegar for yours truly). While at the register the friendly cashier suggested a Mexican marzipan style cookie, which we readily agreed to. Lunch was delicious later as we sat on a park bench by a peaceful pond in the middle of Jack London state park. My husband particularly enjoyed the bread. We'd recommend the market to anyone in need of a delicious sandwich and we'll be back next time we're in Sonoma. They also had a plenteous supply of groceries.

Good thing Sonoma Market is known for their sandwiches and deli and fresh prepared meals. You'll find a really fun selection of local cheeses, condiments, produce, and baked goods that bigger grocery stores don't carry. You'll spend a little more, but the shopping experience is more curated and atmospheric, and the products speak for themselves. I stopped in recently while on a short trip to Sonoma, specifically for salsa, some kind of dip or spread for crackers, and a cheese or two. I spent awhile browsing because that's the best part, and left with exactly what I needed (proud and amazed I stuck to my budget haha). I bought a fantastic bleu cheese, brie, a cantina style salsa, and this whipped, layered, tomato-basil dip made of ground almonds, avocado, sour cream, tomatoes, and herbs. Kind of a lot going on, but it was so good. It's always fun to see what you'll find here. Like a locally made gluten free apple pie, the perfect bouquet of flowers, or a freshly baked loaf of sourdough.

The store could sell so much more food than it does, they have no idea. But people want quality food at the hot bar not what they have there now. Overall, the store is pretty good but they're hot food display is an absolute embarrassment for the store. It's always old picked over food or just empty. If you come in here at five 5 o'clock or after, it's always a disgusting display. Very sad to see.

As I was heading back to the square (where there is an abundance of restaurants), I didn't want the busyness of the scene; thankfully, I got on Instagram, typed "good eats in Sonoma", and BAM! Salumeria Ovello popped up on my feed, and thank goodness it did! An easy 4-minute walk from Vallejo House, Salumeria Ovello is owned by Andrea, who is a Michelin-star chef from the area of Piedmont, Italy. Having been to Italy twice this past year alone, I remember quite well the quality and taste of the classed Italian Sandwiches. The worker who served at the counter was very helpful, and within the restaurant --- there are just a few seats. I'd say, 3 tables with two seats at each table. For my food, I decided to order the Massimo --- which is on "sliced Focaccia, and has sun dried tomatoes, stracciatella di burrata, prosciutto cotto, basil pesto and crumbled taralli (crackers)". Each sandwich is made fresh-to-order, and you can taste the quality. Each ingredient worked together in harmony, and to satisfy the americani in me, I definitely enjoyed the taralli in the sandwich --- reminded me of putting chips in my sandwiches in school. While I waited, Andrea also brought out some slices of salami for me to try --- free of charge, which was very kind of him to do. All in all, if you want to get away from the busyness of the Mission Square, take a 4-minute walk to Salumeria Ovello, and you'll find a little piece of Italy in Sonoma! Ciao tutti!
