I arrived in Brandon, FL on Friday & needed something quick, healthy, & plant-based to eat. Came across Vine Vegan on Yelp & was impressed with their food selection. And when I had to call them (due to an online hiccup) I was also impressed by their good customer service. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito & also the Meatloaf platter. The broccoli that was with the meatloaf was sooo perfect...I could've eaten a plate of that alone & be totally satisfied. It was that good!! So good that when I ate the meatloaf, although it was filling (took me two days to eat it) & had very good texture, it wasn't as flavorful as anticipated. And the mashed potatoes that came with it lacked taste; although the gravy tasted good. Now the Breakfast Burrito...! Yummy yummy yummy for my tummy! That was also two meals in one. I would definitely order that again. I also tried the Nectar of the Gods smoothie. It was pretty good. Overall, I'd order from them again to sample their other dishes.....with an extra side of broccoli, of course. LOL! read more

I was searching the gulf of Florida for a vegan cuban sandwich and that brought me to this awesome find. The place seems very new and as if they are just getting acclimated with the space. The staff we interacted with were nice. The Cubano itself I'd give 4 stars being that it was a bit light on the proteins. And just did not hit the level of *spunk* a Cuban sandwich usually has. And to be fair on the rating this is not a Cuban restaurant so I'm super grateful they had it on the menu. The Cubano comes with chips as a side we paid a $2 upcharge to get the rice and beans. And OMG those did not disappoint! Super flavorful and wish id gotten a bigger side of these. Everything else we tried was 5 stars. The cupcakes are moist and a lot of flavors to choose from. We got the Blueberry. The breakfast wrap was delicious, huge and very filling and gluten-free. And lastly we tried their strawberry milkshake with a vanilla base and oat milk, you must get a milkshake. That's is all. Will stop by on my next visit into the city for sure! read more

I have tried a lot of different vegan food around Brandon - Tampa area and Vine Vegan stands out for quality and consistency in my experience. I have eaten breakfast and lunch here several times. I am not a vegan but I everything and I was impressed at how it did really match the consistency of the let's say the patty melt vs actual meat. The Philly cheeze steak and breakfast burrito are amazing as well. The staff are always very nice and professional. Anytime I am in Brandon I try to go here to balance out my diet. They also have great coffee. I have not tried everything on the menu but I hope to keep trying their unique recipes. The dining area is very nice and clean and they play some chill music. Went to Slutty Vegan popup at Vine Vegan in August. Waited in line for half an hour. Was told fries would take 20 minutes. 30 minutes later was told fryer was broken. 10 minutes later was told no bacon, burgers would be ready in 10 minutes. 15 minutes burgers still aren't on the grill. After over an hour with no food we got a refund and left. Never got a bite of food. Never got anything resembling an apology. read more

Visited vine vegan on the 28th after a recommendation from a friend. We waited over an hour for our food. They have a sign in the restaurant that says "we aren't fast food, we're fresh food" or something of the sort. I didn't expect it to be fast but I did expect my food in a timely manner. I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there... the food is really good and the staff... very cheerful and lovely people to be around. Myself, I have been Vegan for over 20 years and, enjoyed the owner of the restaurant commenting so favorably about my Vegan tattoos. The food is well prepared, very tasty and LOTS of it. My friend had pancakes... and we both thought it was great, but would have liked to maybe have the option to get 2 pancakes instead of 3 (lots of food) and possibly an apple side dish instead of the spicy tofu scramble. This place was outstanding! I had the breakfast burrito, and my wife had the breakfast sandwich on Cuban bread. Both were absolutely outstanding!!! Amazing flavor and portions. My sister in law got pancakes and sausage, which were also fantastic. Although I'm the only vegan, they both loved their food and it's definitely somewhere I will be back to. I'mleaving a 5 star review because I'm not one to leave negativity around but everything down below is constructive criticism as the only who would benefit from the corrections is the business itself not I. Food was great but the amount of time that it took was a major let down. It took only a 57minute wait for an iced latte with soy milk and sf hazelnut only to receive what seemed like a cup of milk with syrup in it at best. The girl that brought the latte out was a sweetheart. But, the guy that was running the pos needs help in training. Over all, restaurant needs a leader to run the boat and active communication. I would say they are understaffed but that's not the case, the one's present were just simply not making the cut from the front to the back of the house. Employees coming into the restaurant and then into kitchen fresh from home to clock into a new shift were just not interested as they were walking into the kitchen on there phone and with a pace with no purpose while the entire kitchen line was backed up with tickets. Also, I took some to read the reviews because I had time as it took 1hour 15min total for food to come out & 57min for 16oz latte. I had some questions as to why the 4.8 restaurant star rating was while I was not having a 4.8 review star experience as it claims and I got to reading the owner responses back to the reviews already published and the responses from owner to customer were very harsh and not customer service oriented at all. If you don't appreciate any and all customers that come through the door it's just another building with organic high priced tofu in it. read more

Found this gem while searching vegan friendly restaurants between Orlando and Ft Myers. It's almost exactly in the middle and a fully vegan menu?! Yes, please. I got the Cubano with sweet potato fries and it was heaven. Hubby got the patty melt and finished every bite. We got cupcakes to go and mine did not survive the drive back to Orlando. Quite possibly the best cupcake I've had, vegan or otherwise. It was increíble! It will be our new spot to meet our daughter at the halfway point. read more

I was in Brandon, FL for work and was searching online for vegan spots and this was the first place that came up. After a little research I saw that they were newer and family owned so I decided to give them a shot. They're located close to the mall so there's a lot of chain restaurants close but I prefer to support locally owned businesses. I ordered the impossible patty melt with sweet potato fries and an Elvis smoothie. Everything was delicious and the food came out relatively fast considering that it was moderately crowded and that they are newer. I've have been to restaurant a few times and have loved what I've ordered until today. What occurred was completely unacceptable for any place serving/preparing food. Apparently, one of the employees there thought it was a good idea to bring her dog to the restaurant for her co-workers to see... I watched one by one as they all went outside including mgmt & the kitchen staff (minus one older woman) and proceeded to hold and handle this dog while there were 3 guests, including myself waiting for our food. The other guests and I locked eyes as we couldn't believe what we were witnessing. The cherry on top was once the "visit" with the dog was over one of the kitchen staff walked right past the hand washing station behind the counter and back into the kitchen begin preparing food again. ​I spoke to a member of mgmt and ultimately what I received was a half-assed attempt to justify their actions. I explained to her this was unsanitary at best and should not be done st the very least while there are guests in the lobby.... I hate that this happened because I really did like this place but I can't now in good consciousness eat there again. read more
