The service was very good. We were greeted and seated quickly. A bus boy brought us water and the house garlic bread promptly followed shortly by our waiter. We already new what we wanted to order as we tend to get same things from Italian restaurants often. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and my wife ordered the Lasagna. For sides my wife had the diner salad and I had their cream of mushroom soup. The salad was pretty average, not special or bad. The soup was ok but needed seasoning. Quite a bit. Which seemed to be a common theme. The garlic bread was fairly bland as well more like a sweet buttered roll with barely a hint of garlic. My chicken was quite hot. Well cooked and not dry but it tasted like the chicken was either reheated or cooked by boiling and the watery Marsala mushroom sauce added as and after thought. Not part of the cooking. It probably would have been better if they added Marsala to the soup and put that on as a sauce. It came with a side of pasta and meat sauce. The pasta was overcooked and barely warm. The sauce was ok, but not great. There was also some broccoli on the plate that I didn't even try. It looked like all the color was cooked out of it. On to the lasagna. The wife took one bite and not only was it cold but just a big mass of cheese and noodles. I took a bite and found it to be bland and cold as well. This is one of the first restaurants that I can remember where neither of us wanted to try something else on the menu when getting something neither of us liked. They offered to make the lasagna again but it wasn't good enough to want that. And what can you do to make a bland meal better the second time when pretty much everything you had up to that point was bland as well. They did not charge us for the meal so I have to give them credit for that. As for the decor. A bit odd and dated but that's not how I decide on my reviews. If the foods good and the place is passably clean I'll go there often. One last note, a musical note. They had live music. Not a reason to come or go. Just an odd eclectic couple playing Patsy Cline and Moon River while singing an occasional happy birthday. I see they have plenty of 4 star reviews and my sister says the pizza is good and supposedly they make their own pasta. Hopefully your experience will be better than ours. We went for piano night not realizing that it was $40 per person with a set menu. So, we opted for the dining room. It's very pretty and the staff is friendly. But the food is what gives it this rating. The noodles were soggy and overcooked, the sauce was basically just canned tomatoes without seasoning, the chicken was rubbery and unflavored, and the bread was like something you would slap together at home. Finally after waving the server down we ordered water and the mozzarella sticks. When we were about done with the appetizer they brought out bread, for all the tables but ours. Again I waived down the server and he explained they couldn't make a lot of bread at the same time, and just walked away. I sat there fuming. When he finally came back with some bread I asked for the check and the manager. He showed up apologizing and telling us he would take care of the 2 cokes and mozzarella sticks and said he will be our server. He did a good job in service. My wife ordered a white pizza and he highly recommended adding shrimp. I ordered the stuffed pork chop. She was not fond of the pizza and the pork chop was dry and very lightly stuffed. We have been coming to Vincitorio's for years under the previous ownership of Mario and Ginger. It has always been a lovely experience with good food and wine. We returned with the new ownership and were happy that the pizza was still very good. However, we were very disappointed to see that they are now adding a 3% charge to use a credit card. We were very saddened to see this charge added. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. Do they really think that people carry enough cash or want to use a debit card when they dine out or make a purchase? We hope they return to the previous policy of no 3% charge. Pretty terrible experience for lunch today. Our group had a reservation for 16 at noon. The table was properly set for us, but after that, nothing prepared this restaurant for a large group. We waited about 30 minutes (as some people arrived a bit late) for a glass of water. Those who ordered coffee and tea were served, and those who chose water were not. Our ONE waiter seemed bewildered and was disorganized and slow beyond belief. He didn't start taking our orders until 12:40 pm. A very skimpy amount of bread was offered soon after. He brought the glasses of water two at a time, not using a tray, just his hands on the top of our glasses. When it was time for the salads, a young lady began serving them for us. She was fast and responsive, but we were pretty disgruntled by then. The food was mediocre at best. Across from me a friend ordered a cheese pizza. The wait staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I greatly enjoyed how entrees came with garlic bread and your choice of soup or salad (Caesar salad for a small upcharge). My partner ordered the gnocchi with pesto sauce and I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. My partner enjoyed his gnocchi and overall my eggplant parmigiana was good. The broccoli was an interesting touch that I enjoyed but the pasta on the side seemed like an afterthought. The marinara sauce in general had decent flavor but a little bit more watery than I typically prefer. Overall, a cute spot with reasonable prices. We've patronized this restaurant many times over the years, and what happened today, Mother's Day, probably is an anomaly. But I will say that what I'll describe here connects to concerns I've had about the tone of service on occasion. The short version: At least three tables seated at the same time as us finally walked out after 90 minutes without receiving entrees. After an epic wait, the waiter announced to our area that a computer problem kept orders from reaching the kitchen and that the kitchen was backed up as a result and yada, yada. This is not a huge restaurant, and it was not full, by the way. What we didn't hear during our 90 minutes of waiting for only one of our orders to arrive was an apology. People sitting in other parts of our dining room did get food, so I'm guessing our server messed up. Anyway, I'm shocked that the owner, who came around early on asking how things were long before the scope of the disaster was evident, wasn't personally delivering apologies, comping this and that, anything to acknowledge that people were having their Mother's Day celebrations ruined. I finally bailed 20 minutes after my wife got her pizza, which was excellent. She shared it so we all didn't succumb to hypoglycemia. When I offered to pay for the side salads and pizza we did receive, our server brusquely directed me to reception (yeesh). There, a nice young man who had served the part of the dining room that seemed to function during our area's travails, checked us out. And he apologized. I said to my son as we left, "At least someone apologized." Just then, a waitress serving outside tables heard us and said, "This place is a shitshow today." Classy, and on point. read more

My experience at this restaurant was the absolute worst! We went with 2 generations of moms to celebrate Mother's Day. From the minute we were seated until we left, the service was terrible. It took at least 15 minutes for a server to approach our table to even get our drink order. This was after waiting 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. The meals are to be served with salad and bread. We had to ask for the bread to be delivered to our table. We never received our salads before the meal. The waitress told us that the kitchen preparing salads was way behind and could the meals come first? We never got any salads. We didn't get refills on our beverages and the entrees were sub par! It was the worst dining experience- and we weren't alone. Several tables never received salads or the appropriate order. We spoke with the manager- and he gave us a gift certificate. First time at VinciTorio's here are the highlights! Dueling Pianos!! Nothing is better than dinner and a show! The dueling pianos are amazing! You can make requests and enjoy the show while having dinner. They also have a great selection of drinks/wine and a bar area. In the back room you are able to order food but it is a limited menu and around $40 per person (entree, soup or salad and a soft drink). The only reason I'm not at 5 stars with the piano is because of the sound system- it is hard to hear in the back room since the sound is projected from the front of the room but it's still pretty fun. Reservations are required for this since it fills up! Service I have to say I take my hat off to this great service! Despite the huge crowd and the dueling pianos and very easy possibilities for chaos the waiters/waitresses are amazing! They were attentive, got every order correct, checked in on us in a way that was not overbearing. Amazing staff! Food This was the only part that was disappointing. I am not sure if it was because of the fact that we went for the dueling pianos but the food just wasn't that good flavor wise. It was cooked well no complains there but there was just something missing in the flavor of the sauce. The sauce for the ravioli was just like plain heavy crème. We've been wanting to go here for a while. And now that we've been, I cannot figure out why this place has 4 stars. All the pastas were drowning in sauce. No...no...NO! The pesto sauce was very oily. No...no...NO! The kidlet's meal came out after a wait and after the adults were served. No...no...NO! The 2 glasses of wine were flavorless. Opened too long. The bread was heated sammie buns. No...no...NO! The tiramisu was awful. It was yellow (?) with no coffee flavor. The panna cotta was rubbery. Good panna cotta is silky soft. The service was okay. Apparently they thought it was a slow night (Friday) so they did not have enough coverage. We talked to the manager multiple times and he said he would give us a discount for waiting so long. In the entire two hours we were never offered refills for our drinks. Tonight was my third visit to this place. I was not quite as impressed as the first two times I went. Firstly, we were sat a tiny little table in the bar. The only two top in the place. There was an open four top next to us that had a sign on it indicating that the reservation for that table did not show up, so we could have been moved there so we didn't have to play Tetris all night with our plateware but it did not happen. We started with the Meatball app. We thought it had a great flavor, but it was barely luke warm. We were really hungry or we would have sent it back to be reheated. I ordered the Linguini Vongole ($21.95), since I enjoyed it so much during my last visit. Sadly, this night it was bland, barely warm, and the clams seemed a little past their prime. I added half of a container of the grated parm and asked for some lemon to put on, but it was still almost inedible. Supposed to be a white wine sauce, but tasted like warm water with some garlic salt in it.... I will say the Stromboli we ordered was large, hot, and tasty. I made a reservation for a Christmas Eve dinner in October. As soon as I arrived with my family that evening, we were greeted by Imad the owner, and he was handing out Roses to all the ladies that walked in, wishing all a Merry Christmas. The restaurant was humming with a great vibe. We got seated in the wine room that was oozing with the holiday cheer. Live music that was very pleasant adding a sense of romance and joy to the atmosphere. I had the Christmas special, the seven fishes and my wife and kids had the chicken parm, pasta and pizza, not to mention the wine that Imad the owner recommended was spot on. Earlier this month I made a reservation for a family lunch at this Italian neighborhood restaurant. I've eaten there prior and I liked the food. It's not upscale and neither does it serve known specialties. Upon arrival I noticed there were limited starters and entrees available.It was a "New Years Eve Menu". I wasn't aware that a neighborhood family restaurant was going to charge approximately 70% more for dishes that usually cost between $18-$22. The cheapest dish on the menu was $29 for some pasta and eggplant dish, and the most expensive, the lamb Oso Buco was $59. I paid $37 for pappardelle ai porcini. I figured I might find some rehydrated porcini in the sauce, but no! Just sliced button and portobello mushrooms. My husband's dish was served lukewarm, and he had to send it back to have it reheated. The other dishes we ordered were mediocre at best. Thankfully they had an overpriced , yet very limited children's menu. The place was nearly empty, the service was below average and the overall mood was strangely somber. To sum it up - there was absolutely nothing special about their special menu. It's a complete rip off and I will make sure to stay clear of that place. I can get better Italian food in dozens of local Italian eateries. read more
