These waitresses may not be the worst, but if they aren't, they're a close second. My brother and I met my nephew, niece and five children for lunch at Vince's today at 1pm. The impatient and unfriendly waitress couldn't have been less cordial. She had no patience while the children were making up their minds on what each wanted, and continued to ask "What does s/he want?" The oldest of the kids wasn't even asked for his order, something we didn't notice until the orders other orders were delivered. When we requested his spaghetti with butter, his plate came with spaghetti and two cold butter pats on top. On two occasions I attempted to flag down a second waitress for a take-out menu, but she looked at me and walked right by without acknowledgement. I KNOW she heard me. We have visited Vince's Spaghetti in Rancho Cucamonga several times, but have never experienced this type of service. Vince's is so good, I regularly make the 46 mile drive from Sherman Oaks to enjoy their delicious pasta and unbeatable sauce. My mom first came to this very location in 1965 and when I moved to LA, she introduced it to me. The prices alone are enough to enjoy but the flavor they produce with their sauce is second to none. I don't know how they do it. I mean, spaghetti and meat sauce. It's so simple yet Vince's makes it taste SOOO good. Coupled with a side of their garlic bread and some nice chianti, and you have yourself a meal that just makes you feel good. Especially with the decor of the restaurant, it gives you this wonderful feeling like you're eating at home. My mom has been a fan from her early childhood and now I will forever be a fan. Joint is a time warp to a classic family Italian restroom. It's been around for what seems like forever. Staff is super friendly and food is good. They have meal specials that include soup, salad, entree, and bread. It's a fair price considering the portion sizes. Honestly, it's not my favorite spaghetti but it's good. The cheese roll is definitely better than the garlic bread, although visually they look the same. The soup is good, about what you expect for the Italian vegetable beef. I would compare the taste to Old Spaghetti Factory soup. Unfortunately, I like the OSF just a tad better. If you have a big group, they have a complete meal that serves 20 people for like $110. It's a great deal, no way you could feed that many for that price anywhere else. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but for the occasional date night it's worth it. read more

I absolutely love this place!! My girlfriend introduced me to Vince's, and haven't put the noodles down for one second since! Get it, Vince, since ;)? No but in all honesty, the portions are great, very filling as well! I usually get the half order, but from time to time you gotta get the full order for cultural purposes only. Service is great, very speedy all for a convenient price. The dinner also comes with a little soup and salad that are quite nifty if you ask a person like me! This was the worst Spaghetti dinner I have ever had. The meat sauce was cold and spice-less and the meatballs had no taste and the sauce on top was like red water! The staff didn't care one bit about customer service. And we had ordered cheese garlic bread and it had no cheese and they forgot my meat balls on my entree. We trusted the reviews. THAT was a mistake. It was horribly noisy. I ate here 20 years ago and it was really nice. So, when I saw that it was still in business, we headed out there. Sure, we expect a family restaurant to be full of happy sounds. This was WAY beyond the normal level of noise. Even the cart carrying dishes (we were sitting by the kitchen) rolls LOUDLY on the bare cement floor. Neither of us are sensitive to noise. However, we went in feeling good but both left with headaches. The worst part is that it could easily be prevented or at least lessened. It would not cost a lot to add sound dampening features. We looked and looked, but could not see any attempts to keep the place at a reasonable level. I had ordered the mostaccioli plate. Apparently, the waitress didn't hear the order properly. Because of the noise coming from the kitchen, I was speaking extra loudly. Plus, she put her ear down by my mouth. Instead of mostaccioli, she brought the spaghetti dinner. By then, I didn't care. I was happy to eat whatever she brought, so we could leave. Soup was excellent. Garlic bread was OK, cheese bread was better. Spaghetti and meat sauce were good. I've heard about this place for almost 17yrs. So of course I had to check it out. WRONG DECISION. From the moment I opened the door I knew I should have walked out. The hostess was very rude. I tried to take into account that (for some reason) the place was packed with customers. Unfortunately, I had to meet somebody there. I was stuck. When I was finally seated the place reminded me of a feeding ground. Mass production of slop being served on big metal trolleys. Like something from a horror movie. Massive plates filled with slop. Not appealing AT ALL. No fresh veggies or additives to be had in this joint. I was forced to eat only plain spaghetti noodles with squares of butter sitting on top with a side of garlic POWDER! I asked for just butter and garlic on the noodles since nothing else was edible. The garlic bread was DIVINE. The energetic and apologetic young lady that was serving us was so kind. That one waitress and the garlic bread were the only two things good about this place. By the way, the dinner companion had... some sort of sauce and barely recognizable lasagna or something. He said that the sauce was so terrible that he couldn't even stand to eat it. We both left hungry since the entrees were intolerable to consume. Luckily I've been here before so I must say the food was good. But as for take out they get one star. I walk in to order and I ask for baked spaghetti (spaghetti with cheese on top). I was informed I could not order that as it is only a dine in only item. I call the restaurant because now at this point I'm just irritated. I called to find out if they charged me for garlic cheese bread. The lady that answered the phone informed me that the garlic bread doesn't come with cheese it's either garlic bread or a cheese roll. So now my irritation has moved up, why would you not tell me that when I ordered my bread? I asked twice about the garlic cheese bread. Had that been clear to begin with I wouldn't have ordered it. Been coming here literally my whole life (I'm 50 now) and have never had a bad experience until today. Made a pick up order at the counter, saw the 'please be patient with us' sign and felt a little bad about staffing levels still being affected after all this time. I'm sorry you're short staffed and I'm sorry if you're overworked, but humility goes a long way! My order was lost and I waited about 25 minutes to say something because I started to see people who came in AFTER me get their orders and leave. I asked and the guy behind the counter dismissed me and said he would see about my order. You're the one that took my order! What happened to it? Zero explanation and about 5 more minutes later, he handed it to me without ONE word! At least an apology or explanation would have been appropriate here. I wasn't expecting free food or a refund! I checked my bag and saw the wrong dressing inside and asked him to correct it. He brought it over to me and again, no apology. So disappointed! My close friend is a regular at this place and has been coming since he was a kid. We just celebrated his graduation this past week, and since I hadn't been here in awhile, figured I would write up a review based on the couple of times I've been here. If you're looking for a good, simple, but filling Italian place in the suburbs, can't go wrong with Vince's. Food: The overall menu is a bit limited, but it gives them focus on what they do best. Spaghetti here is some of the best I' have had. You can order a half or full order of spaghetti, and you will be full for the rest of your days. Garlic cheese bread is delicious as well. Service: Staff here at Vince's is very friendly and accommodating. Though I do come here with my close friend who is a long time regular here, don't think the service changes that much. Restaurant is still family owned I believed, which explains why the servers seem to be more willing to go above and beyond. read more

The only thing worth ordering is the bread. The lasagna and pasta is covered in a clumpy red sauce that tastes anything but authentic and more like a basic tasteless and over salted canned sauce. The meatball was decent, soft and probably tastes good if it wasn't covered in the bland tomato sauce. In regards to the appetizers; my elementary cafeteria made better salads and the soups was watery. The staff is great, the ladies where friendly and helpful. I've gone to this place for years with my family. It's about 20miles out of the way from my parents' house, so that says alot. The to-go service is the best; super fast, the staff package everything "correct" so the food remains hot by the time we get home. The dine in service is great too. The decor of the restaurant is very dated, hasn't been upgraded since like the 1970s. But that doesn't detour us from enjoying the food. And the food- oh so yummy. My favorite is the Vince's Half Order Dinner with meat sauce, blue cheese, and garlic cheese bread. A plus is getting cheese added to your spaghetti (you have to ask). So not healthy, but when the business name has spaghetti in it, you know what you're getting into. Overall, a great find! read more
