We came in as a party of 15 for dinner, and the host at the front was unbelievably rude, treating us like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. It honestly felt like they were doing us a favor by even acknowledging us, as if we were getting dinner for free. I was this close to walking out. Thankfully, our waitress Krista was absolutely amazing and completely turned things around. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. If it weren't for her, this visit would've been a total loss. Management really needs to address how guests are greeted at the door--it sets the tone for the whole evening. read more

Vince's Spaghetti in Ontario has, for over 50 years, has been a favorite spaghetti restaurant for us. Today, it was majorly disappointing. We arrived at about 1:30 pm (1/2 hour before its lunch closing) and our spaghetti was almost tasteless and very mediocre. The sauce was extremely watery to the point of almost being tasteless. This restaurant used to be a favorite of ours, which makes this experience especially disappointing. From the moment we arrived, service felt off. The hostess barely acknowledged us and told us to "just go sit at the booth on the left." No greeting, no kids menus, no explanation. Another couple came in after us and was treated the same way, seated in the booth next to ours. Despite arriving after us, that couple had their drink order taken and delivered before we were even greeted by a server. We were left sitting and waiting, unsure if anyone was aware we were there. When our waitress finally came by, it was clear she wasn't the problem , she was overwhelmed and ended up being given at least three additional tables. Meanwhile, the manager and at least five other employees were standing around, which made the lack of organization and leadership very noticeable. I'm sorry but I really can't understand why this restaurant is so popular. I experienced poor parking and twenty minute wait for seating on a Saturday night. Our waitress was the highlight of the evening, after being seated in banquet room type area. In my opinion, the bland meat sauce spaghetti and garlic bread along with a salad swimming in Italian dressing was a disaster, especially for the price. We came for a large family meal and were not disappointed. Grandma has been coming since she was a kid! Large portions and super tasty. I have been coming here since I was a baby and this is and will always be my childhood favorite restaurant ever. The food i always will get is the Vince's full dinner the spaghetti and I always love how they make it. The meat sauce is always the best especially on a nice toasted cheese bread and the salad is my favorite I mean cmon. I love the service here everytime I come in and everyone is always so nice and the way this restaurant looks let's me know I'm gonna eat really good because they dont mess around with their food! Vince's spaghetti is such a classic simple spot. It is one of the only places around so cal that specializes in a few simple items and that's it. As simple as it may be, their spaghetti with meatballs can cure my sickness. I've also gotten their masta however you spell it and their French dip which is heavenly in itself. The wife and I went here for dinner Saturday night a little after 5 pm. Parking lot was full, but no wait inside got seated right away. Took a bit for a server to come by. I guess our server had a large party also. Another server brought our drinks took our order and brought out our soup and salad. Then the regular waitress brought our dinner out. Located off Holt Blvd between Central Ave and Mountain Ave. I've been coming to Vince's as far back as I can remember. Every time I stop in, it brings back different memories. The decor still remains the same from what I can remember and to be honest, I'm good with that. It's like going back to your parents home. The restaurant's actually pretty spacious with a lot of seating. There's a good combination of booth and table seating with a couple bar seats, although I'm not sure if the bar seating's still used. The menu's limited with a focus on spaghetti. I mean they serve over 21 tons of spaghetti every month, and over 15,000 miles each year. I usually rotate between spaghetti and lasagna during my visits. Unfortunately, during my last stop, I was informed the lasagna has been discontinued. Hopefully this isn't long term and they bring it back in the future. Vince's usually has a couple local craft beers on draft which is nice. I went with Claremont Craft Ales 35 Miles NE which is a New England hazy. I enjoy eating at Vince's and will continue for many more years. If you haven't been here before, you should stop in for dinner and see what you think. read more

My husband and I love to go to restaurants that have stood to the test of time. Vince's Spaghetti has been around since 1945. When you walk in you definitely are walking back in time. The staff was very nice and welcoming. You can tell that a lot of regular customers come here. We were very sad to hear that they are no longer making Lasagna. The entire menu is really Spaghetti, I believe they also have a French dip and meatball sandwiches. The garlic cheese bread and the cheese bread were incredible. My husband and I were so very disappointed in Vince's last night. Our family was seated and ignored by our waitress for over 10 minutes last night and they were not busy at all. She finally said after us waiting so long that she'd be right with us. After nearly another 10 minutes went by we said forget it and decided to leave. Came here for our work Christmas party with about 25 people on a Tuesday afternoon. We were assisted by a single waitress and she was very efficient in taking our orders. For our party the menu was relatively simple, consisting of spaghetti along with a soup or salad and side of garlic bread. Vince's Spaghetti does the simple things right. If I could give Vince's one star I would. I grew up being a patron of this establishment and throughout the years the quality has gone way down. Today my family ordered a Vince's dinner for two, an a'la cart pasta, and two additional cheese breads to go. When we got home we realized they did not give us our additional 2 breads nor did they give us our soup for the Vince's dinner and the quality of the salad was terrible, it was mostly brown. My husband called the restaurant and they told him they couldn't give him a refund and would put his name in a book and he could get his additional breads and soup at a later date for dine in only. I want to add the quality of the spaghetti sauce is not like it used to be and was salty and acidic. I should have just gone to Olive Garden because at least at Olive Garden they have quality control and better customer service. FYI, we went to the Ontario location Sunday, haven't been there in around 20 years we have been going to the Rancho location. my wife ordered the full order dinner and I ordered the lasagna. I regret ever ordering it i wasnt expecting all that spinach in it, it was horrible, i took 2 bites and could not eat it. I gave it back to the waitress and she just brought me a to go spaghetti , when I looked in the bag it looked like a Childs portion, after paying $26 all i got in exchange was that small container of spaghetti enough for a small child, it was so bad it actually gave me Diarrhea. we are never going back to that location. we will stick with Rancho due to the fact that EVERYTHING IS BETTER TASTING. read more

Growing up in the South Bay, we had a Vince's in Torrance (near Hawthorne Blvd and PCH) for the longest time. My family always went here when we needed a good, old-fashioned filling meal. I practically grew-up on their spaghetti dinner (which included salad, soup and bread)...and their very consistent and trademark service...even offering plastic bibs! A few years ago, the Torrance location sadly closed and remnants of the former location are no more. However, I have recently discovered that in Ontario, there is also a Vince's that is very similar in terms of some of the food and their popular 'dinners for two'. Although I've never actually dined in here (only done pick-up), it's the closest thing to that Vince's taste I grew up with and I do not mind the one-hour round trip drive from time-to-time. Plenty of parking in their private lot. Very rustic feel inside, with wood-paneling and a classic feel. Service has always been friendly and efficient. Good value for the set dinners to go which includes: pasta, soup, salad and bread. I hope to be back in the near future for a nostalgic and filling meal. read more

This is another throwback for me. A place I'd often visit with family when I was younger. Loved it then, still very much love it today. The focus here is on pasta; it isn't a full-blown Italian restaurant by any means. One thing they've kept on their menu is the French Dip sandwich. It's the item Vince's started with years ago, and it's great to see it's still a worthy part of the menu. (It IS good.) Now, the pasta. This is a classic place where a half-order is more than enough for most. Dinners include soup AND salad (lunches are one or the other), garlic or cheese bread (I get the garlic and - don't tell anyone - sprinkle the grated Parmesan on it), and a plate of delicious spaghetti. They've added a couple items over the years (i.e., lasagna), but it's tasty spaghetti with meat sauce for me. There's rarely room, but it's hard to pass-up an order of spumoni to make the meal perfect. Friendly service and great old-timey decor make the Vince's experience a tradition I'll be keeping for a long, long time. read more

The Lasagna was hands down the worst I've ever had. Any frozen lasagna from the store would be better I had 2 bites and knew something was off and in fear of getting sick did not eat anymore. The food was pretty good but the service & the interior need some improvements. Came here with a large group for a last minute dinner and our waitress clearly didn't want to be there. We over heard arguing with another employee saying she didn't want to serve our table. She was very impatient and a bit rude the whole night. The ambience itself is kind of creepy. The lights are a weird yellow green color, the place is super old and unfortunately not in a fun vintage way. Parking is super easy, they have a big lot. The portions are huge and don't disappoint. It was ugly and sad to see a table was denied to a homeless man that had ordered to-go and decided to stay and eat. He received his food and asked the gentleman working the cash register if he could sit and eat his food, the employee got all tounge twisted and couldn't reply until another server asked him what was going on, he then whispered the man wants to stay and it as if the employee was disgusted with the idea. Customer Service is always great at this place. Do I recommend it? Oh yes, it's always good and the customer service is always great. I love thick meat sauce on my spaghetti or lasagna and they delivered just that!!... soup n salad were delicious also ... the service was excellent and very attentive and friendly!
