Fell in love with this place . Best spaghetti and lasagna I have ever had in my entire life .

I've been a long time customer for the Ontario location off of Holt because I absolutely love Vinces, but lately something has changed and it's not the same. The sauce doesn't have that meaty goodness and flavor, it's extremely greasy, and the soup isn't what it used to be either. I don't know what Vinces is doing, but I don't like it. I have been coming here since I was a child and this will always be the BEST spaghetti. Full order meat sauce dinner is the only way to go. I don't think I've ever had anything different. I will never stop coming here. My family and I live in Orange and still make the drive here every once in a while. read more

If you're looking for a lot of food for cheap here is the answer! The food isn't necessarily the best tasting Italian food there's out there, it's just huge portions. If you don't like a lot of sauce make sure you ask easy sauce, they literally drench everything in sauce. At he Ontario location the customer service is crappy. They act like everything is a rush to them, most of the servers are older ladies, so I don't think they have much patience. It's not updated at all, but I think that's the point of the place not sure. The back area for large parties had a few bugs on the table lol... but it's ok I guess. It took my daughter and I an hour and a half and Waze had us on some highly questionable routes to get us there "quickly" (ha!), but when we arrived... could've died a very happy camper! First, it was even older than the Torrance location and looked it. I don't mind vintage at all, so I was just looking at everything and it was such a huge place! We arrived during the dinner rush but we were seated immediately, and the waitress had her game on! The food was sooooo delicious. It was everything I missed from the Torrance location I had been going to as a child until it closed a few years back. I missed it so... The lasagna and the bread were a little different, but it was still amazing and close enough in our eyes. Anyway, my daughter and I had a wonderful "date night" with delicious food. Parking: Plenty, private lot I always wonder how a restaurant survives selling mainly spaghetti. I ordered the meal for 2, spaghetti, garlic bread, cheese bread, soup, and salad. The salad was your usual romaine, tomato, and what not with a container of ranch. Soup was vegetable or minestrone. Strong tomato base flavor, not too hearty. both breads were unflavored but buttery. Spaghetti was good. The noodles were al dente and I think pre boiled in a tomato sauce but not a spaghetti sauce, The spaghetti sauce was a little disappointing. I read reviews about the hearty and heaping helps of beef in every spoonful. The spaghetti was mediocre at best and nothing special. It's better than ragu and prego for sure. Would I go again? This was my first time here. I was referred by a friend and many others that say amazing things. It was dimly lit like many Italian restaurants but there is plenty of light to read the menu. The menu is on a pre placed placemat. It is clear to read and understand. I like that I am not getting a sticky plastic menu. The bake side is blank for little ones to color and draw. I was seated quickly. I had wonderful service. And I was able to get meatballs only for my son. I ordered the lasagna, which is actually vegetarian, with meat sauce on top (it does cost a little extra for the meat sauce) with garlic bread. The only downfall was that I could tell the lasagna was made awhile ago because the top layer was a bit rubbery. The spinach mixture in between the layers was good though. The garlic bread was so yummy. Just the right amount of butter and garlic, as well as being toast perfectly. My sons large meatballs had a lot of flavor and was cooked perfect. Moist and stayed together when cut into smaller pieces. Despite the rubbery lasagna layer I would definitely come back because all the flavor were on point. read more

Diner type spaghetti place. Been around for years and years, old school ambience with dark lightening. But good overall is decent. Lots of parking. This place fills up, you'd be surprised. Spaghetti with meat sauce was good and tasty served with garlic or cheese bread along with a salad or soup. The soup was a vegetable lentil type soup, the salad was iceberg lettuce. My friends like this place, but I never really understood all the hype. They have a limited menu of spaghetti, breads, and desserts. I think they recently added a lasagna, but that's about it. Maybe if they had a pesto or alfredo option that'd mix it up a little bit. But as of now they have either tomato sauce or a meaty tomato sauce. But the cheese bread is pretty good. I'm more of a coca cola drinker, but they have Pepsi products, which is ok. There's 3 main dining areas in the restaurant and a bar, but people don't seem to eat at the bar because that's where everyone makes their to go orders or pays after they eat. If you're ordering to go or end up with leftovers, I will say the spaghetti reheats to good as new if left in the refrigerator for a day or two, so that's a plus. We came tonight for family dinner. There was 11 of us. We had a waitress who was very nice but poor thing was shaking and just very slow she could barely deliver the food to us. We all felt so bad that when we needed something we didn't even want to ask and when one of the orders was mixed up we just dealt with it because she kinda huffed about having to get a new one made. There were long periods of time she would be gone and everyone was sitting waiting on red pepper flakes, napkins, refills. It takes a lot to serve a table of 11 so the fact that she didn't have a helper so she could keep up was very surprising. After we ate we were waiting quite a while to order dessert. A girl with a cart came by and asked us if she could take our plates which we were grateful for since we wanted to have our desserts but she wouldn't even move from behind her cart so we had to literally pick up all the plates for her and bring them to her. Felt like we were at a fast food restaurant. The most concerning was how dirty the restaurant was which worried me. I used the bathroom while there and it was such a mess with leaking from the sink and bucket under that was also leaking and there was water everywhere it was so slippery. No seat covers. Made me wonder what the kitchen looks like. The guy at the table next to us too got a soda that I guess didn't have any carbonation when he told his waitress she was being so rude to him after he just wanted his soda replaced with carbonation but she was insisting he had to get another type of drink. He ended up asking for a bottled water and she told him they didn't sell bottled waters but we had just ordered bottled waters. The food was okay but the aesthetic of the place is just gross. No plans on going back anytime. People from our party who had went there before said it's def not the same anymore. read more

Affordable, quality lunch or dinner! Eat in or order to go, food is consistently good. When eating in, service is perfect. Have never had poor service here and it truly makes the difference. This restaurant is family friendly and even good for dates. My family and I frequent here whether it be celebrating a birthday or small Holiday. Girlfriends family goes here more often than myself. At first glance it looks small and cosy. Once you enter it is close quarters old decor and a lot of rooms. The atmosphere is loud. It is an old style going on inside. And could use a slight makeover. It can definitely hold a crowd of tables. The food is ok. The menu isn't huge. I was slightly saddened by the variety of pastas. Food is excellent. Nothing negative to say about that, good portions, tasty, just perfect. Take out service is pretty decent although I had to ask for more utensils, sauce, etc... Dine in service...not so great. Very slow. It was a rainy day when I went there for dinner. Servers seemed adequately staffed and bus boys were on the spot for every finished table. But it took over 15 minutes just for our waitress to intro herself and another 15 to take our order. Then another 20 or so minutes to start getting our food trickling in from the kitchen. I know Italian food does take a while to come out because you're meant to take your time and enjoy it while conversing, but I'd expect something like that at a more expensive fancier restaurant. The Cuccia's and family members have established a pasta icon in Vince's. Been coming here off and on for decades even after having moved from the area. The food has that home made, family recipe quality that can't be easily replicated by the big chain Italian eateries. My favorites are the lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce, but everything I've tried at Vince's has been satisfying. Went in for lunch today and had a very unpleasant experience with the food and the waitresses. I ordered a beef dip and got a meatball on the side. The meatball was cold. The beef dip had a weird taste and was chewy. Not good at all. My sister ordered mostaccioli with cheese. The cheese didn't even melt. It was cold!!! She tells the waitress Marisa and then it starts. She starts talking mad crap to the staff and the other waitress. It was loud!!! We hear a microwave noise and we are like oh no!! She brings it back and it's still cold. So my sister tells her I'll just have an antipasto salad. So the waitress is still talking crap!!! I'm mean it didn't stop. So my sister lost her appetite and told Marisa how unprofessional she was and the other waitress came over and said they were talking about someone else. We heard the whole thing and I'm pretty sure everyone else did too!!! We tell the guy at the register and he could have cared less!!! He said they should have done it when we were gone. If you're not a regular here, don't go. If you don't memorize the menu better than the rude employees, don't go. They don't waste time explaining the menu items to their customers. And it's just pasta... Chopped salad isn't on the menu and ordering a "family size" order of pasta will give you a small takeout box of pasta. Surprise! Barely serves 4 people. The impatient employees don't inform their customers of what their menu items entail for some reason (they must not know it very well) with clear communication so as not to give them something unexpected... I've been in customer service for 6 years. Its truly simple to overcommunicate and recite back exactly what the customer is looking for so you can do the one job you have correctly. But sorry for bothering you w/ our service! Won't happen again and hoping your employees have better days so they can demonstrate improved customer service and create a more welcoming, and maybe even an inviting establishment in the future. read more

First time visiting. Husband and I chose the lasaagna dinner and the vinces spaghetti dinner. Both came with soup and salad. The salad was sad they do not put croutons on their salad and therefore was a little dissapointing. The soup was really good and we thought the lasagna and spaghetti would be better and make us forget the sad salad. Boy were we wrong... The lasagna was also dissapointing :( the spaghetti wasnt impressive either in fact we were upset because we knew the spaghetti we cook at home tastes better. Overall we wont be coming again a second time. However the staff is very nice and friendly, the portions are big, the garlic bread is yummy, and they dont take forever to serve you. My family has been going to Vince's for FOUR GENERATIONS... I've never had a bad meal here... until yesterday. :-( normally all of the food is AMAZING and last night we got a to-go order (as per usual) and the sauce was terrible... and we won't discuss the sadness that was the beef dip sandwich and "dip". We've been coming here for over 20 years and I'm glad we got to dine in tonight! Our server Amy was great and went above and beyond to take care of us tonight! My daughter spilled my water on my partially eaten plate, Amy heard the commotion and came over right away to help clean it up and brought me a new plate of food! Now that's awesome customer service! She was quick and anticipated our needs before we even asked! The staff is always great here, the food is delicious and the prices can't be beat! I'd give them 10 stars if I could! read more

I came here on a double date at the request of my friends fiancé. As we were driving to the restaurant, I was thinking man this area of Ontario is rundown , where is my friend taking me ?! When we arrived the parking lot was pretty full. The restaurant was pretty busy, but it is pretty large, so they are able to seat out party of 4 right away. The first thing I noticed was the lighting. It was very dim and it took a while for my eyes to adjust. Once they adjusted and I was looking around , it reminded me of a senior citizens dining area at a rest home. The decorations and the food looked very bland. A couple tables behind us had a group of 20 or so and were playing bingo while eating dinner. It was kinda odd hearing random numbers being called out while trying to enjoy your dining experience. The food was okay. It looked like everything was made in mass quantity and lacked flavors. I had a glass of their house Chianti, it was good. The salad was just a normal iceberg lettuce salad. Nothing special on it. The vegetable soup was pretty good , but I had to dump a lot of Parmesan cheese in it to flavor it. The cheese bread didn't have any cheese on it. I asked the waitress if this was the cheese bread pointing at the basket and she said yes. I had two bites and was over it. It tasted like cardboard. The spaghetti looked watery. I tried my friends spaghetti and meat sauce and it tasted like I canned SpaghettiOs. Gross! The new entrée on the menu is lasagna . I figured id try that. The portion was big and it tasted like a Stouffers lasagna . Don't get me wrong, I like Stouffers lasagna but not at an Italian restaurant. The only person that cleared their plate was the fiancé that wanted to come here in the first place. I think it was nostalgic for him and brought back his childhood . He was reminiscing about stories there when he was younger with his family. The company was great and the food was decent. The service was a little slow , but our server was nice. I have no desire to come back here again. I figured a family owned restaurant that has been around forever would have some unique recipes. Very disappointed. And this is a chain of two others . I'm about to be shunned by all of my friends, including my husband. VINCE'S IS OVERRATED. There I said it. People live for Vince's in the Inland Empire, they can't get enough of this spaghetti. They move out of the area and the second they get into town they MUST. HAVE. VINCE'S. Yes, it's cheap and you get a hell of a lot of food. But is it worth the way you feel? They come wheeling your food out on a cart that has salad, bread, spaghetti, soup, etc. That spaghetti is so damn greasy I always feel like crap for the next two days. The only think I'm a little okay with is their garlic cheese bread and some of their minestrone. Spend another buck or two and try some new Italian people. It's really just not that great. read more

Quality, simplicity, and consistency. I love coming to this place specially to carbo-load before a long bike ride or long run. The food is good and consistent. The magic in what they do is in it's simplicity. Spaghetti. That's it. Ever go to a gem of a restaurant tucked away in the middle of nowhere? The only way you here about it is from the locals. The way you know it's good is from the lines and from the age of the people eating there. This is one of those gems. Read the reviews from the people who've been going here. It is a tradition. It is a land mark. It makes no excuses for it's gaudy neon sign or pistacchio green paint on the outside. No qualms about the same decor. It's like going home to grandmas, it may not be modern or updated but it's cozy. It's home. Going to Vince's is like wearing an old pair of your favorite jeans. Either you get it or you don't. I was wondering why there weren't more reviews of this place. Then it dawned on me, most people who come here or who have been coming here probably don't Yelp. Vince's has been here since 1945. If my math is correct, next month marks its 66th anniversary. There's a reason why this place is still here for so long: quality, simplicity, and consistency.
