Turkey and Swiss Sandwich

If you're looking for that classic deli experience look elsewhere. For the prices you're paying and the slow service you'd be better off going to the grocery store in this shopping center and buying your own groceries. I got a turkey on rye sandwich with avocado that turned out to be 3 slices of store bought turkey (not made on site) with guacamole and I guess Swiss cheese that is so flavorless I can't tell if it's there. This place was a huge let down. Two sandwiches and chips ran me $25 which is an insult. Stay away

The Famous Deli Sub (avocado, roast beef, ham, turkey Swiss) on French roll

I LOVE small sandwich shops like these. No-frills, great bread, just enough options. I don't live in Pasadena often but when I am even if it's for my 1-2x a week workout class in the area, I do keep finding myself coming back here because I love giving business to small establishments like these. The woman at the cashier is quiet but kind and everything I've ordered her has been excellent. For me, the just-soft-enough French roll is the way to go and how I feel the sandwiches are meant to be served. Avocado is a feature for many menu items and I can see why, as they are always fresh and plentiful. 2 size options, regular or large - I find myself always barely able to finish a regular but love how generous they are for the price. Jersey Mike's eat your heart out - this is where I'll be.

I have eaten here a couple of times and the place is clean with friendly service. The sandwiches are good with quality meat. They have a mixture of breads to choose from. I had a bacon and egg sandwich on toasted squaw bread which was appetizing. Great place to get a basic sandwich if you are in the Pasadena area.

Potato Salad - lot's of mayo.
Eric H.

The sandwiches are made fresh, but I don't see anything special. I ordered a Turkey and Cheddar on Rye with mustard, no Mayo. It came with no mayo, and no mustard. I again asked them for mustard and they gave me a couple little mustard packs (which were hard to open and seemed very old). The potato salad was too heavy with mayo for my liking, but that's just me. The small space has several tables inside and outside, and the ladies behind the counter are friendly. When I order a sandwich, I'd like it to be something I can't do at home. This sandwich was not that. My experience was not bad, but nothing special.

Large Italian Cold Cut sandwich. $13.49 Total Price!

This was my first time at Vince's Deli and it will not be the last. Looking over their menu I decided on ordering a large Italian Cold Cut Sandwich. This sandwich was served in a long roll. The salami, capocolla, mortadella, provolone cold cuts were good slices of quality meat and they were not salty. Biting into the first half of my sandwich I was in heaven. All the flavors of cold cuts came through with each bit. The roll was soft and I like that it they did not put too much Italian dressing. The pickles, red onion, pepperoncini, and tomatoes really brought the whole sandwich together.

I love turkey sandwich with avocado on a wheat bread. Best sandwich in Pasadena. Also with coleslaw and pickle add more flavor to it!

Every time I buy the New York style pastrami I die from happiness. It's like a religious experience. The staff are always friendly. :)

And a personal breakthrough: I used to schlep all the way to Larchmont Cheese & Wine or Bay Cities before beach days for a proper sandwich. Not anymore. I have sandwich geniuses living right down the street. The bread? Exceptional. The cheeses? Dangerous. The meats? I may never recover. And then there's the lemon Italian ice. My daughter and I have been here three times in the last week, shamelessly returning like two neighborhood raccoons with excellent taste. It is the perfect antidote to a scorching Altadena afternoon. This place is an absolute gem. Go for the pasta, stay for the sandwich, leave with three things you didn't know you needed and a strong desire to become Italian.

Service was great and the girl at the counter was lovely but the price of everything was way too steep and it didn't deliver at all. We ordered the mortadella and the artichoke. We didn't even finish our sandwiches. Ended up going to a different restaurant for food.

Noticed they had great craft beer on tap (love Paperback) and wine. I had asked previously, alcohol can be served early in the morning too.. winning! We shared two dishes: - chilaquiles: tasty, still crunchy chips, mild spicy salsa verde, scrambled eggs. very tasty. next time will try with meat - french toast: thin, toasted on the edges, soft center, served with powdered sugar and fresh blueberries. will order again Their coffee drinks are delicious. Strong enough espresso for me, enough flavor and sweetness for my sweet tooth husband to love. There was a steady flow of customers coming in. Some ordered to go but a lot of people sat and occupied tables. Nice to see a local small business thriving. We browsed through the menu and decided to order a couple coffees, a breakfast burrito, a toast with some side eggs. We sat outside which was cool and quiet, it was still early. But I got bitten by a mosquito immediately, and we took our coffees and moved back inside. The service was good, the breakfast came out quick. I enjoyed my breakfast burrito and the toast and eggs are fine. It's a little pricey for all that at $42. Yes. I understand that we are paying for the expensive neighborhood. It was a good experience but we understand there are many great choices in the area.
