Back at Vincent's... 25 days later... Vincent has done it again. Ordered TWO bowls of cream of mushroom soup to start. Tried Halibut Wellington. Amazing as always.

Food, service, ambiance all incredible. A must stop when in Phoenix! Unbelievable selection of wine to be paired with wonderful food!

An exceptional experience from start to finish. The Discovery Menu was exquisite, and having four different tasting menus--one uniquely curated for each guest--was truly special. The service and perfectly paired wines were outstanding, but even they were surpassed by the culinary excellence. We were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday, and Vincent and his team far exceeded our expectations. A truly unforgettable evening.

First off, note that there's $6 valet fee. One of the things I love about this place is that there's no dress code; it used to be formal. The service is all dressed formally and they are all accommodating and amiable. I decided to order the beef tenderloin with green peppercorn sauce and their berry cobbler. It's important to note that they made a mistake on their menu. The berry cobbler says it comes with a scoop strawberry ice cream but it was actually raspberry instead. I'm not sure if this is standard, but it looks like a dessert order comes with a small chocolate souffle. I really appreciated that the dessert was larger than I thought it'd be. The beef tenderloin was tasty but I've definitely had some beef in the past on similar quality at slightly cheaper prices. My whole bill came out to $103.82 (includes tax and tip). I really think they can remove the whole valet service since it's a waste of money. There's a parking lot there that is easy to park in. I get that they're trying hard to be an upscale restaurant, but the place just isn't located in an upscale spot with hard to find parking.

For July's International Supper Club UYE Vincent's on Camelback was the place chosen! Vincent's has been in the valley for a very long time and I was excited to finally make it in. Our server was Diana, and she was great! The day arrived and off we went. After checking out the menu, I knew I wouldn't be able to do a full meal so I went with a starter and I ordered the Lobster Chimichanga with leeks, goat cheese and avocado corn salsa. Even thought this was a starter this was filling, The lobster chimi was packed with great flavors, So dang good! Ended the night with a rich decadent chocolate cake. The perfect way to end a great meal! Had a great meal with excellent company and looking forward to coming back!

Pricey, classy, and buttery, lol. I love French food and was really excited to come here for a family birthday dinner. We were seated really close to the entrance, which just didn't feel like a great spot, but being more in the center may have felt a little too crowded and stuffy. That was probably the one bad thing about this place - just didn't feel like the air was circulating well. Even though I don't eat red meat I had plenty of options. I thought I was going to choose the scallops, but I made a spur of the moment decision change and ordered the trio of halibut, bass, and lobster. I was SO glad I flip flopped - I love tasting a variety and this was served like 3 perfect little fully plated mini dinners! I had a bite of one of my family member's scallops, very good but I preferred my dish(es). Other than mains, we had small croissants and bread with butter on the table. I only had croissant which was pretty good (I'm pretty picky - I do wish the outside had more layers but on the inside they were there!) We also ordered a chanterelle mushroom tarte appetizer to share which was fantastic (mushroom lover here). We passed on ordering a full dessert but with the check they gave us each a little flourless chocolate cake that was to die for and the small portion didn't leave me feeling unable to get up from the table. The service was nice but if I'm allowed to say it, a little snooty. I really liked the food though so I'd come back for another special occasion for sure.

When you go to Vincent's you expect a full five star experience. I attended as part of our International Supper Club. We chose Vincent's to kick off the Olympics! We do not tell the restaurants that we are with a supper club or Yelpers as we want to have a true experience. Ambiance of the restaurant is upscale. Cozy booths, comfortable chairs and beautiful decor. I was most taken back by the wine "list" as it's not a list, it's a book! So impressive! I started my meal with the Lobster Bisque. While I was surprised there were no lobster chunks in it the soup was super smooth, creamy and delicious. For my meal I chose the Macadamia Crusted Sea Scallops in a Burre Blanc. AMAZING. Probably the best scallops I have ever eaten. The waitress came out to change the place setting for dessert and we all said we were too full. She said "okay" smiled and kept placing. The chef sent our party out free dessert! The only reason I docked a star was due to their reservation policy. They require a cc be placed (totally understandable) but will charge $25 for anyone who does not show up. I really don't think this is fair as life happens! If you are looking for a romantic date night or just a five star dining experience Vincent's is always a solid choice!

First time at Vincent's on Camelback. What a treat. Friends invited me to share a celebration with them. The food, ambiance, and service were exceptional! Started off with a lobster and avocado salad. Very tasty as were the croissant rolls. One of the dinner specials was an individual Beef Wellington. First time for that dish as well. The Beef Wellington was a filet mignon baked in a puff pastry with mushrooms. It had a tasty brown gravy and some vegetables. For dessert, the choice was a brulee that was very rich. Chef also gave each diner a complimentary chocolate pastry. Food coma lasted only a short while. What a special evening! Shut down the place. They have been in business for over 30 years. Put this one on your list for that special occasion!

I don't believe the server knew how to handle the less than formal style of the group I was with, but they did not turn us away and provided phenomenal service. The drinks had elegant garnish, and were well made. The most complicated might have been a vodka soda, but the additional touch was nice. For a start we ordered the oysters, which was kept everyone stuck between being nice and fair, and wanting to take all for themselves. We also ordered the octupus which was very good. For my main, I had the salmom rillete. Well made and pesented - I only thought to take pictures after I ate. Our group was never rushed for the bill and we enjoyed a beautiful evening sitting on their porch. I am looking forward to going back more "prepared" and enjoying their seabass or beef bourguignon.

But the highlight of my experience was the bartender. He was young, charismatic, and made such great conversation. As a visitor, he made me feel genuinely welcome, which really elevated the entire experience. I believe his name was John C. (though for some reason I thought it was Liam!). Either way, he was fantastic. The gimlet he made incredible and expresso martini even better. I would highly recommend this restaurant--definitely sit at the bar if you can!

The cozy, intimate comfort of what used to be Coup des Tartes blended seamlessly with the deep, peaceful, gentle "love" you felt from House of Tricks into one calm, warm, easy spot. Farish House is a real, soul-warming experience across the board. The service, care, comfort, ambience, food, value and clear love they put into everything make Farish House our new favorite place. We walked through the front gate, up onto the front porch and inside where we took one of three small tables in the cozy front salon of this soul-warming 1899 French Bistro. *Food: we started with a bottle of Australian Cab. Shockingly good. And not crazy expensive, especially on Thursday when bottles are 30% off, it was an amazing deal. Turns out, the owner, Greg, was in the wine distribution business for several decades, curating wine programs for top Valley restaurants, so he really knows his stuff and their vast wine selection is amazing. We were offered a basket of truffle popcorn, mmm, salty, crunchy, and rich. We ordered the Chef's Selection Charcuterie and Warm Noble Baguette & Marinated Olives to get started. Both were beautifully curated, balanced, and incredibly high quality. The flavors and textures blended perfectly. with cheeses broken from large wheels, rather than cut and sliced, house-made pickled grapes, unique and unusual ingredients, smokey meats, compound butters, just awesome! We then moved into one of the cozy dining rooms and ordered the slow roasted Peposo Short Ribs and fingerling potatoes pan fried in duck fat served with Moroccan spiced aioli. Both were rich, warm and delicious. For dessert, and yes we thought we'd explode from all this food, we ordered a massive slice of bread pudding, some of the best I've ever had, rich, gooey and incredible. Along with that we ordered a beautiful Espresso Martini and an off-menu banana cream martini. Their drinks are not "poured" or mixed here, they're balanced and expertly crafted. This is French Bistro comfort food at its finest and it's unmistakeable. *Service: it just doesn't get better. Everyone working there is "family". And that's how they make you feel; like family, cared for, wanted, welcomed. Service isn't a choreographed masterpiece, no tuxedos, cloths draped over arms, napkins frantically re-folded when you step away, dishes served and cleared in unison. No, it's relaxed, warm, friendly, kind, like being at your grandmothers house and knowing you're surrounded by people who care. Met Greg and Katherine, the owners, and their daughter Alexandra and several other "family" members taking care of us. Their appreciation for your presence is unmistakable. *Ambience: it's just plain comfy, cozy, easy, relaxed, warm, deep, gentle, worn (in a good way), wise, and calm, that's the best I can describe it. Hard wood floors, cozy rooms, soft, warm lighting. It's a non-pretentious, French bistro that feels like the home of a favorite grandma or great aunt living in a warm family cottage in the outskirts of Paris. *Value: it's perfect. It's not ridiculously expensive like Kai, Brinkley's, Cafe Monarch, Christopher's, or French Laundry where you go, "okay, that was fun but we'll only do this very occasionally/rarely and it's probably worth it, but dang that was pricey!" No, Farish House is 100% value to experience, not cheap, but not overpriced, the balance is just right. It's a place you can go often, and we will. Yes, our meal with apps, drinks and dessert, some on happy hour and the Thursday wine special, was around $200. I'd happily say this experience was worth every penny. *Overall: I can't recommend Farish House highly enough. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot, and that's a downtown thing. There's a small lot in back. The food, ambience, service, quality, and experience were stellar. I wish I could rate them 6 stars instead of just 5. I'll return often and highly recommend Farish House to everyone. I genuinely hope you enjoy as much as we did!

There is such a contrast of two vintage homes, one being the Farish House in a sea of highrise buildings in downtown Phoenix! If you like a restaurant with a great wine selection, this is your place. I was lucky enough to have both of the owners (Kathryn and Greg) come by and greet us. This bottle (pictured below) of Pinot Noir was suggested to us, and we decided to have with our meals since our chosen dishes were beef and pork. One of the best wines I have had recently. We had the stuffed date appetizers which were devoured so quickly I did not have a chance to snap a pho My friend chose the beef short rib dish, which was well presented and extremely flavorful. After carefully reading each item, it was very hard to make a choice. I ended up with the pork chop meal, see cauliflower/potato mash, asparagus, and the awesome sauce along with the perfectly cooked pork chop made my taste buds very happy! We had service by Ella who is fabulous and also got to meet the owners daughter Alexandria. But there's more! After much deliberation and compromise, we both decided to share the bread pudding. I have been to New Orleans many times where they make fantastic bread pudding. The Farish House bread pudding can stand up to the best of the bread pudding in New Orleans and that is saying a lot. If you are a foodie and like local family owned businesses, this is your spot. Since I am only visiting, I will not be here for their Saturday Tea Service! Thank you so much for providing me with another wonderfu and delicious memory of my Phoenix visit. As Arnold Schwarzenegger says "I'll be back!" (I did not. I ordered a full breakfast and a waffle like an adult with priorities.) I went around 9:15am on a Wednesday--only a few tables were occupied, and the staff was super friendly, gave great recommendations, and the food came out fast. Inside is dialed in with chandeliers, French-y posters and photos everywhere, and a pastry case with tarts, pastries, and cheesecake that basically dares you to behave. The croissant was the star... fresh, flaky, light, buttery... exactly what you want. The egg was cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted into it almost like a mini omelette (loved that). My only hiccup was the "bacon." It leaned more limp pork belly than crispy bacon and had a distinct smoke flavor that wasn't the traditional hardwood/hickory vibe I'm used to. Also... because the cheese and egg are fused together, it's basically impossible to pick the bacon out once it's in there. Next time I'd order it without bacon or ask for it on the side and make it crispy. It came with a side salad, which is not what I expected with breakfast, but it was actually great, fresh spring mix and a delicious dressing with a subtle sweet undertone. There were also hash browns with a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior, exactly the texture you hope for I just wish there were more of them! Because I have no self-control around French cafes, I also ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and tasty, more tender/soft than crispy, and I ended up preferring it to the 'scrape the roof of your mouth' style that most restaurants serve up. The whipped cream tasted freshly whipped and the fruit selection was generous. My only critique: I'd skip the granulated sugar on top. The waffle is sweet enough already, and biting into sugar crystals isn't my favorite texture. For a drink I tried the blueberry lavender matcha. It had crushed blueberries in it, but the matcha flavor was pretty mild and the lavender got lost. I also would've liked a touch more sweetness from the syrup but overall it drank a bit "soft" and subtle. Bottom line... really cool little spot with friendly service, quick food, and a pastry case that will absolutely ruin any plan you had to "just eat light." I'll be back but next time I'm customizing that croissant sandwich and letting the pastries talk me into bad decisions.

Service includes petit croissants that were warmed just right, there is a decent wine list. Not too cramped, touches of French country styling for the ambience. We ordered the boeuf borguignon, steak frites and a salad of tomatoes and mozzarella. The steak, though sliced thinner than the usual chunk, came as ordered at medium well with ample au poivre sauce and well seasoned fries. The boeuf borg was fork tender, a little heavy on the wine but perfect nonetheless. All dishes were perfect in terms of portions (not too small), the finesse and the flavor profiles tempered just right. After 6 hours of driving from LA to Phoenix and another 2 hours looking at houses, this was the perfect early dinner. The service was professionally pleasant and unobtrusive. To top it all, we declined dessert but they sent us complementary pots de crème and a small slice of cake and it was excellent. One must go, and more often. If I had time I would go for another meal of foies gras and coq au vin and a side of trout. And then there's still the restaurant to try. Oh my.

It would have been nice if our server had mentioned the price of the Dover dole on the specials menu. While we knew it would be expensive, $70 (before tax and tip) seems a little high for eating in a bistro. The room looked very dated and plain, but, as I said, the food was excellent. At the same time, I don't think it's a very good value for the money. A couple of glasses of wine and two entrées were over $300 with tax and tip. Pricey, to be overlooking a parking lot! We won't be going back to the Bistro.

My husband and I had this on our list for the longest time and I wish we would have come sooner. The tasting menu with wine pairing is the way to go. The pacing is completely to you and I found a lot of comfort in courses coming out once we were ready - it didn't feel rushed! All the food was beautifully plated and flavor profiles with textures were through the roof! It was a beautiful blend of seasonal flavors! The wine selection was also a wow-factor and complemented the courses nicely. The views were incredible at sunset and I loved how the setting sun changed the landscape of the valley. The bathroom is a must go to. The service was also incredible - Bryan was a phenomenal complement to the restaurant and Chef Chris. I loved how this fine dining establishment was not stuffy or stiff. I felt I could talk to each employee authentically! Highly recommend!

Membership Required…read more.. This is one of the most amazing restaurants we have ever had the pleasure of dining at. It is simply fabulous. The view and lighting at night are so beautiful, even the ladies room is stunning. The interior is modern with the most unique tables I have ever seen. There is no silverware visible on the table, only a lovely plate. Mystery solved... Each diner has their own silverware drawer!!! Talk about differentiating themselves from any other restaurant. On to the gourmet meal... We had a 7 course meal accompanied by wine, matched with each course. Indescribably delicious. One of the most scrumptious meals of our life. Their very pleasant and engaging Chef personally came out to meet us, and give us his thoughts on creating the 7 course meal du jour which we were enjoying. The Sommelier was also one of the most interesting, knowledgeable, memorable and delightful wine experts we have experienced. She shared her travels and reasons for choosing the accompanying wines. This eating establishment is a whole different level. Excellence or Perfection is the only question. I am leaning towards Perfection.
