The customer service here is top-notch. The lady that answered the phone is extremely nice. She is very personable and explained everything to me regarding the menu. Food: I went with a traditional Vietnamese sandwich which was absolutely amazing. I opted for the beef and barbecue pork and it was grilled to perfection. I really like the sandwiches here. You can tell that use great quality product ingredients. The chicken eggroll was good as well. They have quite the menu and I look forward to trying several things off their menu. I will be back here very soon. I believe this was my first or second time here I can't remember but I was told they're under new management so if you haven't been here in a while you're in for a treat. Great food, decent portion sizes, good ambiance. I've eaten here in person and have ordered through delivery services. We've had the pho, general chicken, sesame chicken, chicken egg rolls and Kim chi fries. Everything has been tasty each time. Only reason I don't eat there more frequently is that the prices are a bit more than other Vietnamese places we enjoy. Well this is a nice find and more than a deli. Lots of Vietnamese goodies to eat and drink. Service is fast. I placed a pick up order at 12:13 for ONE banh mi it's 12:42 and it's still not ready. The reason for a pick up order is for it to be finished by the time you pick it up. Ordered dinner from here and the place has potential but some things are not as good as others on the menu. I ordered the pho dac biet and my husband got the banh mi special with wonton soup. The pho was not very good. The broth had a lot of fat in it and the meat was mostly fat as well. The broth was also very plain, not like the usual bone broth with spices that is served with pho. First of all the Asian dude at the cash register was rude and didn't even say "Hi" when we walked into the store. I asked him if they had Goi Cuon (spring rolls), all he did was point at the menu and said, "that's what we have." Instead of answering my question he just directed me toward the wall menu, very rudely I might add. Then after I placed my order I my husband last minute ordered a Vietnamese coffee, he looked annoyed that I added another item. Then when I thanked him he just walked away. What a effin a$&hole!! We sat down to eat our spring rolls and coffee, the food was terrible. Not traditionally made spring rolls which contain pork and shrimp with rice noodle, bean sprouts and lettuce. It had everything except the pork which makes it a spring roll. They only had very little shrimp with tons of noodles and bean sprouts wrapped in lettuce and the rice wrap. The sauce was weak and watery. The coffee was too milky sweet and did not have a strong coffee taste. I do not recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good Vietnamese food. These guys are wanna-he's at best. Awful hole in the wall was the atmosphere. Very plain and ugly in my view. read more

My boyfriend and I found this place after leaving H-E-B. As soonest we walked in we automatically loved it because they have pictures of every single dish in their menu. This was top tear for us since we love Vietnamese cuisine but we stick to basics. It's true when they said we eat thru our eyes first. Anyways, their customer service 10/10. Friendly and fast. I remember when I used to go by this place every week with about $8 in hand and come out with a piping hot, delicious plate of rice, veggies, and flavorful meat. It was a highlight in my work day and never failed to make me want to go back for more. Sadly, I have to say goodbye to this place. Yes, inflation is affecting all of us, especially local businesses, but $15 for a rice plate outside of the Houston loop is insane. The taste is still somewhat there and the inside of the restaurant now has an Instagrammable atmosphere, full of lights and grass wall panels, but the portions and prices are not it. A small, quaint shop located in a big strip of buildings. I came with some friends and it was relatively empty, which worked for us since there isn't much seating. There are many options of banh mi to choose from (yay!) and even a vegetarian sandwich. The chicken banh mi is SO good. Not sure what they season their chicken with, but it's really tender and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed their sandwich. Their specialty drinks were also a hit with my group. I got the mango coconut which was the perfect amount of fruity and sweet! Will be my go-to drink. My friends enjoyed their strawberry coconut drink which was also fruity and sweet, and the pineapple coconut drink which was fruity and tangy! A drink and sandwich will run you just around $10. I am giving this place 5 Stars ONLY because the food is exceptional, but then again, there are endless Banh Mi and Pho shops scattered throughout Houston who likewise serve delicious food. This place is VERY overpriced for a Banh Mi and Pho shop. There are plenty of places around town charging 2/3 to 1/2 the cost Vina's menu demands. It's good. But you're gonna easily spend $15-20 per person instead of the usually $6-10 like most Banh Mi shops. Just my $0.02. read more

Based on all the food reviews, I was not expecting to be disappointed. I was in the area and wanted a quick simple lunch to take to a nearby park. Stopped by this place to order. The ambience gives you a Northeastern Italian sub/pizza place but with Vietnamese menu. I noticed prices went up based on previous Yelp images of the menu and what I saw. Didn't matter to me as it was still reasonable and cheap. I ordered mango coconut smoothie (which came with boba), combo banh mi with a fried egg, and BBQ pork banh mi with fried egg. I highly recommend to get mango coconut smoothie. It's refreshing and you can definitely taste mango coconut. The boba was cooked to perfection. Soft and chewy as it should be. There wasn't much but it's included with the price. They don't offer any other topics but that's okay. That just means the boba has more attention. Now, to the almighty banh mi experience. Dun, dun, dun... drive to a nearby park and oh my was I disappointed. First bite of my combo banh mi, it taste slimy. Second bite, the fried egg was over cooked and my god, all the deli meat has gone bad! I took another bite cause I'm Asian and didn't want to waste food but I couldn't do it so in the trash it goes. It was either having a stomachache or hear my mom lecture in the back of my head about wasting food. Lecture it is. BBQ pork banh mi was okay. Not much fillings, fried egg overcooked, banh mi soggy, flavorless banh mi. Mind you, the park is only a 5 minute drive and I left the plastic bag open to minimize soggy banh mi. This pandemic probably caused them to lack expertise with banh mi. I just cannot reason with bad banh mi. Went in and my first impression was... Way to Americanized yet lack the greetings from a standard Americanized establishment. Looked at the menu on the wall, yep, Americanized prices. To me as long as it taste good, I guess you get what you paid for right? Wrong! Spring roll wraps were freezing and super hard on one side and warm on the other. Peanut sauce is okay... Average. These are the best banh mis I've ever eaten! And I've tried a lot! The bread is fresh, hot, and crispy. The chicken is the best seasoned chicken I've ever gotten from a Vietnamese deli - it's definitely not traditional, instead they have a honey glaze which tastes heavenly. My only complaint is that the portions are kinda small in relation to how much you pay. The wait is kinda long, it's looks like they're short staffed. I've been ordering chicken over rice for quite awhile now. Maybe for two or more years. It's my favorite.. decent chicken. Good rice and veggies and definitely wasn't expensive at all even when I ordered extra meat.. but now. with the new owners. $15 or so for one plate of chicken or rice with extra meat when that's around half of what I used to pay. White rice isn't that much more or less a pack of chicken to make it. And maybe the veggies. Definitely shouldn't be $13-15 for one plate. Don't get me wrong the chicken is good and everything else (veggies meh) but The old owners knew what was up.
