If a place has french fries, he's in. And I'd heard that Tony's was one of the best places to grab a burger in the area, so everybody wins here. I had the Juicy Tony and it was a solid burger. It's noted on the menu that is must be served medium rare, no exceptions - that's my preferred temperature anyway, so it was perfect for me. It was indeed juicy and tender. The cajun fries were a nice pairing. We enjoyed our experience overall. Was it a top notch, amazing burger? I wouldn't go that far, but it did its job and I'm happy we came and tried it out.

At least not enjoy spending it. But with prices these days getting way out of hand what can you do. I got the rattlesnake because I saw it touted as their award winning burger. Not sure from where the award came. But this and their trash can tacos had the emblem next to it. You also get a veggie pack with your to-go burger which has chopped lettuce, pickles, raw onions and 2 slices of tomatoes. That's nice so you don't have to put on the required latex gloves to use their veggie bar to get these yourselves. It's in a separate bag. I thought this was the buger at first and was secretly getting a bit concerned when I saw the cook toss it onto the counter like a bean bag. The cashier was super nice. He offered me water as I waited. They had another guy working in the back cooking the food. You also get a thimble of ketchup in your Togo bag along with a packet of mustard and mayo. The bun was a little burnt. And I couldn't taste any of the mixed in jalapeños. Also I kinda wish they had whole lettuce rather than chopped just because it kept falling out of the burger. But other than these issues the burger was pretty tasty. Definitely not a McDonald's burger like one person posted. But also not the best burger ever as many other posters swear by. Definitely glad I went. But don't know if I'd be willing to spend another $20 on one of their Burgers either. They're closed on Sundays according to Google maps which is old school nice to see.

Wunsche Bros Cafe & Saloon - Beer bread - a must try!

Cafe & Saloon was one of those places that completely exceeded expectations…read more I'm rarely out in Old Town Spring, but I was in the area picking up a piece of metal art for my patio and wanted to take my mom and brother somewhere unique that we don't have in Katy. A quick Google search brought this place up first with 4.9 stars, which is practically unheard of these days, so we decided to try it. Wow. What a meal. We started with the onion ring basket and a half order of beer bread. The onion rings were fantastic--huge, thick-cut rings with a wonderfully seasoned batter that actually had flavor instead of tasting flat or bland. Served piping hot, which matters to me because I like my food HOT. The ranch dressing was a great addition, too. The beer bread was decent. You could definitely taste the beer, but it wasn't the best loaf I've ever had. Mom, Mark, and I all ordered the grilled ribeye steak sandwich. I'm the only one who got it as designed on the menu. I originally expected more of a slab-of-steak sandwich, but it was actually closer to a Philly cheesesteak style sandwich, which honestly I prefer. Mom and Mark skipped the peppers, onions, garlic aioli, and pepper jack cheese in favor of lettuce, tomato, and mayo instead. Our waiter, Evan, was wonderful! He was friendly, attentive, accommodating, and clearly proud of the restaurant. He even offered to tell us the history of the building and restaurant, which added so much to the experience. The story is also printed on the back of the menu, and it's definitely worth reading. Evan mentioned he's only been there a few months, but he is absolutely an asset to the restaurant as a server. My brother Mark is blind and autistic, and it's honestly not often a server addresses him directly. They usually look to mom or me and ask, "What does he want?," but Evan asked Mark directly. Kudos to him. We had to finish the meal with the historical whiskey chocolate cake, and I'm glad we did. It's served warm with whipped cream on the side, caramel sauce drizzled across the plate, and pecans on top. Absolutely delicious and huge! There were four of us who shared it, and it was more than enough for each of us. Also worth mentioning: the sweet potato fries are an extra $4 but absolutely worth it. These are NOT frozen Ore-Ida fries dumped from a bag. They're clearly fresh cut and homemade, and they were delicious. For nearly two o'clock in the afternoon, the place was packed--at least three-quarters full--and the entire atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly. I live in Katy, so Old Town Spring is definitely not nearby for me, but I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area or just passing through. It's easy to see why people love it. A definite five-star experience for us!

There are plenty of seating options and different rooms to hire on the second floor for special events. The place was clean and organised. Our server SiSi was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Food and drinks: Good menu options. You can choose here meat and seafood dishes , salads, sandwiches, and desserts. We enjoyed our mains, mashed potatoes with wasabi and seared ahi tuna, and fried chicken plate. Good seasoning and flavours. Chicken was still succulent and had perfect amount of crunchy breading on the outside. There is full open bar where you can order beers, wine, and signature cocktails. Pricing: $$/$ - the menu items were priced fairly and the experience was worth it.

That's right. Adding fried cheese to the menu is important to me. Because beer + fried cheese = happiness. It is known. Forgot what apps we DID enjoy, but they were good. Even if they weren't fried cheese. Love good stout and porter selection, and they have it! Love to see a bar that hasn't turned all of their craft taps to IPA. Good to have variety, folks. Especially in winter. It WOULD be amazing to have dark beers served just a *wee bit* closer to cellar temp... not true cellar (too much for Americans), but at least in the 40's F. Just be ready for crappy parking and you'll be good to go. It's worth the patience to find a parking spot if it's busy!
