It was deep fat fried and pretty greasy, with a hard shell. Now, I don't mind grease at all--that puddle at the bottom of the container is a sign of good things to come. I very much enjoyed my empanada, the beef was tender and flavorful and I love a crunchy shell. But some may be put off. For the arepa I chose the Venezuelan Queen. An arepa on its own is a corn pancake. These arepas are split and filled, making a sandwich, and it's kind of like eating a sandwich on an english muffin. The Venezuelan Queen is a chicken avocado salad arepa. It was generously filled with a smooth and tasty filling. Not super flavorful but just fine. Either of those items would make a good meal. I washed them down with the passionfruit drink, which was sweet and refreshing. I tried the sugar cane lemonade and don't recommend it unless you specifically know and like sugar cane drinks. Yelp needs a new category for restaurants. This is South American food, and I couldn't find a good category for it. We will see more of it as refugees from South American start businesses here.

My friend had the burger, which was a decent basic burger except for the cheese not melting properly. The papelon con limon was OK--probably made with turbinado sugar. I've had it with brown sugar and liked that better. The truck has a very broad menu, covering Venezuelan, Tex-Mex, and even Asian dishes. I would say it is worth a try if you are branching out.

The pieces of meat were just shaved and not crispy or anything like you may receive on some gyro at other places. The potatoes were homemade and basically 1/4 potatoes, sliced lengthwise. I was so full from the gyro that I only ate one of the potatoes but didn't think it was very lemony at all. Customer service was excellent the entire time and they will even come to your table and take your plate away as if they are full service, which they aren't . I also ordered a slice of coconut cream pie, or at least that's what they said it was. It had no cream in it and appeared to be a coconut custard pie not that different than the one I make at home. It was delicious as well.

The blue fin tuna tostados were delightful and hands down the best dish we had. Ceviche mixto was excellent with a just a hint of heat. I would order these two appetizer dishes again. Main courses consisted of duck 2 ways, redfish with green mole and risotto, spring cavatelli, and grilled shrimp & pork belly. All were delicious and uniquely tasty with the exception of the duck. Mind you, I really like duck and the sliced portions were excellent and perfectly seasoned and moist, but the pate-like accompaniment was not that good, plus the mole sauce was not what I was expecting. I've had it with brown sugar and liked that better. The truck has a very broad menu, covering Venezuelan, Tex-Mex, and even Asian dishes. I would say it is worth a try if you are branching out.

There were two women working and they were so kind and full of smiles. The interior was brightly decorated. The food. The tacos were fantastic. My friend even said, "this is just what my heart needed." It was so fresh! As we were walking out they were making fresh tortillas. The sauces were perfect. The green sauce had a good heat to it. The desserts were moist and nice and sweet. If you're in the area this is a must!

For the main dishes, I tried the Crazy Cow Burger along with the Smoke Barrel Picanha, and both were excellent. The meats were flavorful and cooked really well. I had the cheeseburger, and while it was good, what surprised me was that fries don't come with the burger. They're a separate $3-5 add-on depending on whether you want plain or seasoned fries. The fries themselves were good, but it would be nice if they were included with the meal. The parrancha steak seemed a little overcooked and didn't have much flavor, and the coleslaw wasn't really my favorite. I also wasn't a fan of the pork rinds they bring out to snack on before the meal. Personally, I'd much rather have chips or another lighter appetizer. Pork rinds on top of a burger and fries just felt like overkill. Of course, food is subjective, and this is just my personal opinion. While I wasn't a huge fan of the menu overall, others may absolutely love it. The service and ambiance were definitely the strongest parts of the experience. Overall, I'd give Bogados 3 out of 5 stars. Great atmosphere and excellent service, but the food just didn't quite hit the mark for me. I was standing at the end of the bar with the manager on duty and the bartender and I said to them she just called me a name. I asked them if they were aware of this woman's bad attitude and they both said yes. This employee is constantly being rude to customers and should be fired. There are numerous bad reviews that are obviously in reference to this person and her poor service. I will never go here again!!!!!!!

The taco was basically a cheeseburger with a soft taco so it was pretty easy to eat. It was very tasty. Also I very much enjoyed the guacamole. It was so fresh and it comes with a large bag of black chips, which would be enough for several sittings. Based on the fact, delivery was quick and a product was excellent. I will try them again in a very near future.
