I had never seen a chicken smash burger before and it was so good. The edges were crispy, the flavor was amazing, and it was cooked perfectly. The spicy burger was great too, and we added a bacon patty which made it even better. Total game changer. The Bam Fries were loaded and super satisfying. Definitely a must order. We also got two milkshakes and they were really good. Everything tasted fresh and you can tell they make the food to order. This is a more modern restaurant where you place your order at one of two screens--so if you input your order wrong, it's your fault. The menu is very concise and consists of burger, spicy burger, chicken sandwich, vegan burger, plus sides. They do have a kids menu and a small selection of milkshakes as well. We both ordered smashburgers with a single patty--they charge extra to add lettuce, tomato and pickles. Raw onion is not an option on the menu. The burgers come with caramelized onions, cheese, and bamsauce. We also got an order of fries and the cookies and cream milkshake. Everything was flavorful overall, and the fries were very hot. I added lettuce and pickles, so my burger had a nice balance of meaty cheesiness along with some freshness. The food did take longer than I expected for it to come out--so don't expect fast food speed. The milkshake was so good, I had a hard time not consuming it right away, but I was also pretty hungry. It's a pretty bare bones place from the menu to the service to the overall ambiance. For anyone who prefers to keep their distance from others, this is a dream come true. Since going vegan I haven't had a cheeseburger but Bamburger has options for vegans. It was amazing and tasted even better than a regular meat burger. Flavors are meaty and cheesey with underlying tones of plant plus food stays warm. This place was amazing! Like Freddy's but better! The lady working the front was super helpful since it was my first time here. You can order at a kiosk or the front. She came over and explained the menu and what made up spicy vs regular. The ordered a bamburger double with the bam sauce on the side since I wasn't sure if I would like it and no carmelized onions. You can add lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and extra cheese. I also got the plain fries that are cooked in beef tallow. Not too bad! I really liked the bam sauce! Not sure what it is exactly - more like a Freddys fry sauce than a thousand island but it has a hint of something in it that gives it a little extra something. I'd buy it if they bottled it! Why 5 stars? Because this was definitely my favorite smash burger in the area, to-date. --- --- --- I feel like smash burgers became a really popular thing in recent years, but there actually aren't that many places around that are doing them. Or at least doing them well. So when we found out about Bamburger opening soon, my wife, an even bigger fan of smash burgers than me, vaulted it to the top of her list. I had just come from playing a couple hours of basketball and was in a state where I felt like I could have eaten every piece of inventory that was in the kitchen. So I went with the biggest and baddest thing available: a triple with a bacon patty. And the Bam Fries (no jalapenos.) It really hit the spot. I would probably give it a 4.5 with the only note being that it just felt a tad too salty, but I would happily eat these again any day of the week. And I'll definitely round up to 5 because of the fries. The bam fries were fine, but I actually liked the regular fries even more. They looked super basic in the photos, but they were about as ideal as fries could be. We arrived about 15 minutes after they opened on a Saturday and were the only people inside for about 10 more minutes after that. By the time we left, the place was full of people, which I was really happy to see. I came in and ordered at the kiosk, then looked around...no one at the counter...no cups to get a drink...so I just sat down. First impressions, not warm nor inviting. They were cooked well and very tasty. I have to say that I hate using ketchup packets at a sit-down restaurant. I mean, I'm not at a picnic, just give me a bottle of ketchup. I did not particularly care for the Bam sauce which just seems like mayo and ketchup but sweeter, so I just opted for ketchup. The spicy Bam burger wasn't particularly spicy but it was fine. In the age of smash burgers, I'm normally don't like it but Bamburger is the exception! They do a combination of ground ribeye and filet for their patty. Their french fries are fried in beef tallow and are the perfect crispy bite. I'm not a sauce girl so I opted for my burger without sauce and it was well seasoned and I loved the grilled onions with it. We later talked to the chef who told us we have to try it with bacon next time -- he essentially makes kind of like a bacon patty so you have a bite of bacon with every bite and aren't pulling the whole strip of bacon with one bite. My husband had this on his try list so we did this week. It was after 8 pm open a Friday and since they closed at 9, we decided to do a mobile order. We live no more than 10 minutes away and by the time I arrived, our food was bagged and ready -including our drinks. Between the two of us we ordered the spicy bamburger (double) and the bamchick (double) with extra sauce on both sandwiches. Sides included sweet potato fries, bam fries. For drinks we had a lemonade and chocolate shake. The burgers were great- it wasn't easy to distinguish them much from any other smash burger place in my opinion, but it was good. My advice is if you plan on getting the bam fries, stick to a single patty. My husband like the chicken sandwich -he didn't state whether he preferred it to the burger - he may have liked them equally. He also liked his sweet potato fries. I liked the cheese on the fries but thought it tasted weird with the bam sauce, so I'd rather just stick to the cheese and jalapenos in the future. My shake was great - not too thick and it wasn't overloaded with whipped cream. A cherry would have been a nice touch. The lemonade was probably the most least satisfying item- it had such a light color I tasted it before I drove off to make sure it wasn't water or sprite. It had a faint lemon taste and so considering it was an extra $1 -it wasn't worth it. Especially because I had to convince my husband it really was lemonade. Interior of the place is nice. They have counters so you can order yourself. The woman who gave me my order was really nice and also made sure I had extra buffalo ranch when it was originally missing from my bag. I finally tried this place after my buddy told me it was really good. I used to live along 2920, however, this restaurant wasn't here when I was living in the area. Once inside, the menu is simple as they only have a few options. Burger, spicy burger, chicken sandwich, vegan burger, or grilled cheese. They also have milkshakes here. One appealing item to me was the tallow fries. The inside of the place seemed a little cold actually and it didn't make me feel like I wanna dine in. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if most customers ordered to-go, like I did. At least I wasn't the only reviewer who got a bad impression of this restaurant. It also took about 7 mins before I even saw an employee. I chose a Bamburger combo with a sweet tea. I also added a grilled cheese and a chocolate shake. Shake - this item came out first. The first thing I noticed is the color which is a very light brown. There is not a very strong chocolate taste here, and needless to say one of the worst chocolate shakes I've had in a while. It tasted artificial. Burger - I actually ordered a double with no cheese. When I got home I opened the foil and found a sad looking burger. For $9.50, I was pretty disappointed. Yes, they did a good job making a smash patty, but the overall burger is just a mess. For the price, I would expect a lot more. Where are the lettuce, tomato, pickles? Only grilled onions and a weird sauce on this burger. The meat itself had a weird burnt chargrilled taste to it, so even the patty was bad. The bun was ok as they use Martin's bread which is usually a little gummy. The fries - while the first few were pretty good, even for being previously frozen, the tallow definitely adds a beefy taste. The rest of the fries were just your run of the mill frozen fries and I didn't really taste the tallow anymore. The drink - well, since you order on a kiosk with no cashier or front of the house employee present until your food comes out and even when they finally did come out, they forgot to hand me a cup or give me my drink. I was so ready to leave after being in the cold, uninviting environment with a weird chocolate shake, I was anxious to get home. So I just grabbed the bag and left. I realized about 5 mins later they forgot to give my drink, but I didn't even want to turn around. Grilled cheese - the person I ordered this for took one bite and they didn't wanna eat the rest of it, it was that bad. Luckily it was only $3. Overall, I do not see how they receive such high rating. The only item I enjoyed was the first handful of fries, but the rest of the meal went in the trash. read more

This was easily one of the best burger experiences I've had in a long time. I got the Triple Bamburger and it was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. I do wish it had a bit more sauce, but that's honestly just a nitpick--it was one of the best-made smash burgers I've had in a while. My wife ordered the Double Spicy Deluxe and really enjoyed it too. She mentioned it could've used a little more salt and sauce, but overall, she was happy with it. The fries were good, the salt did drip all to the bottom so the first couple fries at the top they didn't really have much salt whereas the ones at the bottom had a lot of it but other than that the fries were actually pretty good and they gave us an amount where my wife and I could share together, opposed to having to buy another one. The service was quick, and the young lady who took care of us was extremely sweet and friendly, it just made the whole visit even better. The vibe inside is super cool too. I love the little alien nods, the story about aliens from the planet Bamboon coming from outer space, all those fun details really add to the experience. Finding a solid smash burger on our side of town has been kinda tough, so it's a relief to finally have a great option nearby. On top of that, the value is excellent. We spent $30 for two burgers, two drinks, and fries and compared to other smashburger spots, that's a steal. And it would've been lower if we would've just got their regular burger as opposed to getting a double and in my case of triple. We're excited to keep coming back. More than one customer sat waiting for their order forever only to have to walk back up to the counter to say they didn't get their fries. And then they'd wait, because nobody would be at the counter for long stretches of time. The I think there were only two people working lunchtime on a Saturday and something was on fire in the kitchen. I found this place on musing yelps surprise me feature a while back but kept it in my notes to come and visit if I was ever on that side of town! I'm pleased I did.
