This Station Cleaners has the WORST customer service, and especially the older lady! This place makes up prices as they go. Literally, I had an item cleaned 3 weeks ago. I bring that same item back today, and the price is $3.25 more! They throw the receipt at you. This older lady acts as if she's inconvenienced every time I go in this place. TBH, moving forward, I will be looking for a new location to Dry Clean my clothes. In today's day and age, great customer service is the sustainability of a business, and I will not give my money to a business that treats me so poorly!

To say we have never been treated so poorly would be an understatement!…read more We chose this proprietor based on family and friend's recommendations. We brought several pieces to be dry cleaned and we left one short. You see, they "lost" a very expensive custom fit shirt valued at approximately $110 dollars. Just lost it! No explanation..just "so sorry". We went back when we realized it wasn't in the receivables and asked to see if they could find the shirt...they stated to give them time to look and come back. We did. Upon second visit..we were told by an associate that they could not find our item and after a discussion, were told that we would have to talk to Mimi the general manager, but the best they could do was a credit towards future dry cleaning. This wasn't optimal but it was ok. We asked for this in writing and was told no. When we asked when would be an optimal time to call MImi we were told .."we could not call to talk to Mimi" because they "don't answer their phones"!!! What!? How does a business function like this? So again, took time out from a very busy schedule to stop in to see Mimi to receive the credit. This is where it went from bad to unbelievably horrid. We were told in no certain terms that this was our bad luck and that they would not honor their verbal agreement as there was no way we could prove that any of this transpired and we would lose any small claims if we attempted to seek a refund. Please! Do not use this company. They are thieves at best. It is a shame too, because we always want to support local.

I discovered the day before leaving that the movers somehow got my suit all wrinkled and dirty during the move. Eek! Called EIGHT places, nobody could actually do same-day cleaning despite many sites saying they could online. My suits look awesome and they saved the trip (how was I going to go to my Cousin's wedding with dirty clothes otherwise? no way!) Thank you for being reasonably priced and delivering on your promise. I'll be back!

My mother took her dress to Dorsey Cleaners for alterations. The dress was marked with chalk and…read morethey agreed upon the alterations that would be performed. When she returned to pick up the dress, there were blue stains throughout the top portion. She was told that another dress had bled into hers. The owner assured her to come back and the stains would be removed. She returned and the stains had indeed been removed; however, when she tried on the dress, she couldn't zip it all the way. The owner helped her zip it up, but once zipped, the dress was too tight in multiple places. He explained that he had to dry the dress twice and it may have shrunk as a result. Whether the error was due to the alterations or the drying process, the end result is that my mother's dress was ruined. She spoke with the owner about compensation since there was no way to fix the damage. He was dismissive and tried to lowball her despite their clear mistakes. This is very poor business practice, as he assumed no responsibility for what happened under his watch. My mother had used this establishment before without any issues, so this was particularly disappointing. He even tried to get the tailor to personally cover the cost of the dress instead of taking responsibility for mistakes that occurred in his business.

Hilltop Cleaners has been part of Bowie for decades, yet the new owner has elevated the experience. During my visit, Andre was managing the counter himself, and his approach to evaluating items was professional and transparent. He outlined what treatments were possible while providing clear pricing from the start. The shop is tidy and welcoming, and there are small details (free coffee by the front desk!) that reflect careful attention to the customer experience. I brought in a large container of older stuffed animals in need of both cleaning and repair, along with a delicate corset top and a multi-layered skirt. Andre went through everything step-by-step and provided a detailed estimate. His focus was on providing the items the care he said they deserve. When it came time to pick everything up, the process was prompt and professional. The work was beautifully done - all the garments were clean and properly finished, and the stuffed animals were returned all sparkling and ready for many more years of being loved by our family. Hilltop Cleaners went above and beyond what we expected in terms of pricing and service, and I am so pleased by my experience that I'm sharing it with friends and family...and now Yelp readers. Please give this business a visit for any cleaning needs.

Do I have to rate it??…read more I just had possibly the worst experience ever in my life. I am not confrontational at all. Actually quite a push over. But I do have a bad temper when I feel like I'm taken advantage of. I did not lose my cool but I tried not to cry. I took my dress there a week and a half ago to have it hemmed. When I came in I tried my dress on she did the chalking and knew exactly what it is I was asking for. We discussed it for about 20 minutes. Trying to get it just right. Off the bat she told me it will be $150. As if that wasn't outrageous enough for him, she went on to explain textures and surgeon what we need to be done because of the material and how wide it is. And me being naïve I said OK. Even though my sisters spoke highly against it and we're a little bewildered at the price. They help me cover the cost. I go to pick it up today, later then I asked because I volunteer to do her a favor, due to the prom season. She was delighted to oblige. And offered a 10% discount for it and to pay cash. Anyhow, I pick up my dress and it's cut. JUST CUT! Oh I was trying to explain to her, has she let me know when I came in that a him was not possible I would have left my dress as is and went on about my business. I believed that what I asked could be done and that's why I left it there. She yelled at me. Going on about her level of experience and her following the natural fibers. It's cut. Just cut.. She was not getting the point I was trying to make. And kept yelling that I am the only one that's ever complained in her over 20 years of experience. That is not a good way to do business. No one's ever complained, well today is the first day. There's a first time for everything. I got duped. I am just so upset right now.

I visited said cleaners on a Saturday afternoon to drop four dresses off for PRESS ONLY as I had already laundered them at home, I also thought this would cut the wait time down a bit. Well, my first shock was that I was informed my dresses wouldn't be ready for pick up until Thursday I understand that they are closed on Sunday, but four days to press four dresses? Not one thing is express about that! We settled on Wednesday after 4pm which is still pretty much Thursday, but slightly better. My second surprise was the charge, for the pressing of these four dresses I was charged over $42, yup you read that right. I probably should've walked out then, but I decided to give them a try. My dresses were ready at the agreed upon time and pressed nicely, but was it worth over $10 per dress, absolutely NOT. I have since just switched to Zips and three dresses pressed only costed me the price of one dress at Dryclean Express and they were ready the next day, before the promised time, that's express to me! I hope this review helps someone that may be looking for this service.
