My mother took her dress to Dorsey Cleaners for alterations. The dress was marked with chalk and they agreed upon the alterations that would be performed. When she returned to pick up the dress, there were blue stains throughout the top portion. She was told that another dress had bled into hers. The owner assured her to come back and the stains would be removed. She returned and the stains had indeed been removed; however, when she tried on the dress, she couldn't zip it all the way. The owner helped her zip it up, but once zipped, the dress was too tight in multiple places. He explained that he had to dry the dress twice and it may have shrunk as a result. Whether the error was due to the alterations or the drying process, the end result is that my mother's dress was ruined. She spoke with the owner about compensation since there was no way to fix the damage. He was dismissive and tried to lowball her despite their clear mistakes. This is very poor business practice, as he assumed no responsibility for what happened under his watch. My mother had used this establishment before without any issues, so this was particularly disappointing. He even tried to get the tailor to personally cover the cost of the dress instead of taking responsibility for mistakes that occurred in his business. read more

Wonderful service they really helped me out when I was in a tough situation (bridesmaid gown needed oil stains removed in under 24 hours) and were super helpful and sweet during the whole process while I was stressing out lol. I stopped by a week ago to drop off two items, long pair of green pants and a long white dress. The dress had makeup stains on the top the owner that didn't come off with two stain removal processes. BEWARE! A horrible owner and business that blames the customers if things go missing.Absolutely DO NOT COME HERE!! We trusted them to do our Dry Cleaning and when we came to pick it up, our jacket was missing. The entire time he kept blaming it on the system and even tried to say that we actually never gave it to him on top of charging the price for dry cleaning it! After asking for reimbursement, he claimed the store policy was to only reimburse 10x the amount that he charges for the dry cleaning after the discount because they charge cheaper than other places. We asked for the reimbursement statement in writing after being gaslit and lied to through the back and forth which he then says he will only reimburse $60 even though he charged $7.64 (Was charged $9.55x20%) The owner also kept trying to divert the issue and making it seem like he was doing us a favor on top of trying to shoo us out after we asked for reimbursement as well as scare us by saying that someone else had taken him to the small claims court but lost and had to pay extra on top of the cost/dry cleaning fee. read more

I hate giving poor reviews, I usually just stop patronizing places but this is just too much! A shirt with a button this dry cleaner's pressing machine broke (but I paid to have replaced) was returned still broken. Didn't notice until my husband wore the shirt again. When I returned with the shirt and still-broken button, they agreed to replace the button...for a charge. The button I had ALREADY PAID FOR. I was like, wait, you're charging me? Response: Yes, we don't know when the buttons are broken, and all dry cleaners charge for buttons. I said that if they charged me I would never come back and they said OK. I drive miles out of my way to use this cleaners, return hangers to them for reuse, spend $30/month with them, and they don't worry about losing my business for a $2 button that I ALREADY PAID FOR? I may be "chump change" to them, and that is fine if they can afford to offend loyal customers, my business is now gone. read more

I love these guys. They are an organic cleaner, so you won't be wearing (and subsequently breathing) a lot of the gross chemicals you might get from standard cleaners. They are very affordable for dry cleaning and have a turnaround of less than a week, in my experience. In addition to all of this, they are very friendly and the man up front offered tips on how to keep certain fabrics cleaner and less vulnerable to wear and tear so the clothes last longer and wouldn't need to be cleaned as much (on the surface, a disadvantageous tidbit for him to share, but they genuinely care about their customers enough to share such info). I plan to keep coming here and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good and affordable cleaners! read more

***WARNING*** This place will try to charge you twice! I paid in advance and when I came to pick up my clothes a few days later ,I explained I already paid. After giving my phone number for my account, The shop owner asked me to prove it! I didn't have the receipt! I had to pull up my credit card transaction! They did so great on my alterations in such a short notice. This was something I ordered online And it wasn't quite my fit. I'm 5'3 and the skirt was still dragging on the floor with 4-6in heels on, lol. So I came in at 11am and my skirt was hemmed and brought in slightly by 5:30pm the same day! The owner of this store is SO AMAZING!!! He took my wedding dress in for cleaning when Bill's Cleaners wouldn't. His customer service is phenomenal and he is taking such great care of my dress. I needed my dress done next day...as I just got out of the field from training and not only did he say yes...said he's going to make sure my dress is perfect for my special day because he has three daughters and their weddings were important to him! Super friendly and man do they know how to clean clothes. I was at an event with parking on grass and after major downpours, everybody's cars got stuck in knee-deep mud. I was out in pouring rain pushing cars out of the mud while wearing a suit. My suit was absolutely disgusting afterwards and my white shirt somehow turned pink in the process. This is my go-to dry cleaner. They are friendly, helpful, informative, and good at what they do. I've learned about caring for my garments from them, and they've always done a good job at a reasonable price for me. So far I've taken dress shirts & pants, scarves, and other items here and they've always had them done on time. They've even successfully removed any stain I've brought to them. The whole organic thing is really nice, too. Considering all of the above, as well as their location that's very convenient to me, I would definitely recommend trying them out, and maybe swing by the deli next door afterwards! read more

Very satisfied with the level of service and professionalism...I brought a special dress for alterations and cleaning and the owner assured me that I only needed proper undergarments and cleaning to save money on alterations..he was right! Not a place to take drapes. I called in advance to verify the time it would take to clean a set of drapes. I was told if I dropped them early, they could be ready the next evening. When I arrived, I was told I had to pay at least half in advance. I thought it was just a language barrier. I'd been here with clothes and that wasn't the case. That policy isn't posted anywhere. Then I was told by the woman at the counter told me that the agreed turnaround time wasn't possible. I pushed back, citing the phone call, and she called a man up front who acquiesced. I should have just left. My drapes and valances came back so wrinkled (cotton, no pleats) that I spent the evening re-ironing them before I could hang them. When I commented on the issue when I picked them up, the man said it was the heavy press - better was not possible. The valances are flat pieces of medium-weight cotton - how can the press not iron them free? And if my household iron can do it, why not them? Very, very disappointing. read more

My family and I have been using this dry cleaner for a number of years. Dorsey Cleaners is family owned and is a place where you can get all of your dry cleaning needs met. Alterations and dry cleaning is done on-site. The turn around time for drop off and pick up is very quick. Prices are extremely reasonable. They have taken care of all of our dry cleaning and alteration needs. They even treated my wife's wedding dress to preserver it for long term storage. The price for doing this was far better than any other dry cleaner we tried. Dorsey Cleaners even placed the dress in a beautiful display box.
